Preparing weed for vape

What's up guys? Do you guys do anything special to prepare your weed for vaping? I grind it very finely and then let it sit out on some paper to dry out before I vape. Seems to give me better vapor and a better high. Is there anything special you guys do to prepare your weed for a sesh? Appreciate any insight

Combustion free since '09
I also grind a fine grind and then let sit out but I leave out on a tray inside a drawer. I grind ahead of time for convenience and let sit out for a day...or two depending on amount ground. I stir after awhile so stuff on bottom gets a chance to see the air.

First off let me say i think "Combustion free since 09'" is a dope saying haha. But i usually grind a lot ahead of time but I don't let it sit out as long as you do, maybe I will. Which vape or vapes do you use?

I have a slew of vapes, some in rotation more than others....see siggy below.

If you grind a lot ahead of time like I do it helps to let it sit out longer and stir it up here/there while sitting.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I'm from a different regime and preference...

I keep my buds aging at 62% humidity with Boveda packs jarred in a mason. I'll pull out a bud and let sit for a couple hours, then fluff grind it with an SCS (Santa Cruz Shredder) which I directly placed in a JyARz container. This is my preferred way (I think because I'm a bit of a flavor snob), and in no hurry to get medicated, where being relaxed and unrushed is also another part of 'my' regime.

When I'm out with my Solo, I use a Contact Lens Storage case. One side containing my pre-ground herb, the other empty awaiting the ABV. Even if I don't use the pre-ground, the air/water tight seal seems to keep it fresh for days.

:lol: I know, huh. I just did a month long test to see if I was getting the same efficiency out of my LSV/MFLB combo as I did when I was strictly using my PD. The results, at the end of this month, will be that I used a gram with about 7 days worth left worth in the container so I'm almost getting the same efficiency. Not quite, but close. With the PD, a gram lasted a month and a half.

I like to leave the bud in tact until last moment and then grind enough for a sesh or two. air and environment start to oxidize the bud so keeping it in tact keeps it fresher, but it depends on the bud and if it is wet or dry. I use a tic tac container for my ground up and this works for transport and filling my vape, just pop the top and tip it in.

I use scissors to cut up my weed to the right consistency, then i store it in pill bottles.

That's a great idea DDave. I always take just one storage unit and end up tossing the ABV. Been using 13 X 100mm test tubes, always looking for inconspicuous storage, :tup:

I was anal about cutting mine up, didn't even trust a grinder. But now I just cut the bigger stems out before I grind, help save on wear and tear of grinder and I pick them out afterwards anyway.

Don't usually pre-grind, unless it is just left over from previous session. Always thought exposing all them trichs to oxygen might degrade them, though the difference is prob negligible.

Thanks Tweak! (IMHO, Get the ones with the smooth bottom, so you don't lose your keif/kief. And many of the discount stores sell these too...) :rockon:

(And to think my mom was always on my back for using things in ways for which they were not originally purposed).. :nope:

EDIT: Then again, she was just a simple gal, not fully understanding the ramifications of birthing a Vape Wizard! ;)

Yea i usually throw my weed in the pill bottle and then just put the scissors blades in there and keep chopping away. I think I've been over packing my Pax ovens lately but thats for another thread lol. As far as the weed losing potency I'm not sure if mine would considering its in an air tight pill container....does that make a difference?

Pill bottles don't shield your product from light. Keep this in mind and you'll be fairly well set. jayrz is the best option though, from reviews.

I used to store my herbs the same way. Then I tried JyARz. They really do make a difference. The medicine containers dried my herb out much quicker than a JyAR. I still use the medicine containers for ABV and stems and such. But they don't compare to either a mason jar or something with a great seal like a JyAR, and never hold my fresh herb anymore.

Yup. Typically, stock pill containers are not air tight.

Tito, can you post up a pic of that air-tight pill container? I've never seen one before.
