Has anyone done HASH with the NANO?

In addition to the other types mentioned, I have been having great success with some dark gooey bubble hash and the Nano. I just break up a very small amount in to little pellets (looks like gerbil poops) and put that on a bit of cotton. I get an insane amount of lung-busting hits at about 7.75 on the dial.

I'm not really set up for quality video/pictures at the moment, but one of these days.

Hey I placed an order with Andy and one of them ended up being the new "heavy duty stem." Has anyone else used this? I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly?
For me, it is a much less enjoyable experience. The stem does not stop at a certain point when put on the enano. It just keeps going until the herb (whatever load size you have) hits the male metal grill portion of the enano. Then when you remove the stem, weed sticks to that grate. It is uncomfortable to have to hover the glass stem over the enano and hope to not touch it. Also, the stem is a lot looser fitting on the enano. I really dont know if I'm using it incorrectly. As is, it changes the way I use the device and makes it much less comfortable to use, had I known this I definitely would have not purchased it. I am baffled

I have not yet tried them.
Your post caught my eye, however, because one of my favorite features of the nano is the way the stem stops right there before the "meds area".
It could take getting used to.

Maybe check under the other sticky feet if there are more screws in your unit. Since these are handmade, it may be possible that the unit has more screws. I am only inferring this from the idea that putting together different pieces of wood with other components may require more or less work depending on the physical properties of that piece of wood.

Congratulations on being an exploratory vapist like me. The dimmer circuit board is the only part I have ever heard of people having issues with. This, alongside all the electronics that got damaged from too much voltage in my experience, is inside the temperature control, accessed by two screws on the back of the dimmer.

As I said, there are very little electronics in the unit itself!

That single screw inside the unit appears to hold the wood onto the stainless steel inner assembly. The wood may not budge if you undo it because it has expanded or contracted due to environmental conditions :)

Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone! Took some time but it finally popped off. Ended up being that the wires frayed (and discolored) inside the cord, roughly around where it exits the wood. Anyways, fixed the issue. Im wondering if it had been a long time problem as the unit seems to be much warmer now.

One end of the stem will continue all the way down, the other end should stop about 3/8 of an inch down, if it doesn't you have a bad stem and I'll send you another one if you pm me.

I am using the heavy glass pinch stems, absolutely love them!

This edit is 2 hrs after the above sentence. My medicine man just delivered an ounce of White Widow. The taste of WW is indescribable with the E Nano. I thought the taste of WW in my Solo was great....NO COMPARRISON!

I tried to make me some Ti wool. But the strands ended up way too brittle, when you squash it around it crumbles up. Nothing like steel would. So it's back to gold for me :brow:

The deal is here folks with SS wool into the GonG.
The device is so efficient that you have to reclaim because your lungs cannot take it all anyway.

With SS mesh, you can scrape the resin from the wall by turning it inside.

The funny part is to drop such an heavy impregnated wool into a hot sub. Good for bed. You hit and you get it back the wool into the gong.

I dropped my nano yesterday! I went from about 3ft to a carpeted floor. It has now developed a slight rattle, as of the heater core is a little loose (although it doesn't feel loose).

Very sad.... but at least if it develops any problems I know andy is a stand up kind of guy.

Right anyway it's still fully functional, time for a stem of grapefruit and maybe some kush bubble after!

Does anyone own both an e-nano and a HI? Any thoughts on the two? I'm leaning towards the e-nano. I like that HI is cheaper but not sure if I want to wait a year or more. E-nano seems wonderful though.

Mine is out for delivery! I'll be counting down the minutes till the kiddos are in bed tonight.

How fine of a grind do I need? This will be my first time using a vaporizer, any tips?

I dont know if this helps you at all, however a shameless plug never hurt anyone ;)

Now here's the thing with grinding... you can, however, you dont have to.

Rule of thumb:
  • Best flavor - whole nug.
  • Biggest clouds - grind.
That aside you can adopt a 2 step approach. Put a whole nug in there, vape once then break it up and stir with your E-pick. Second time around will release a lot of vapor while still getting that amazing burst of flavor on the first hit from the whole nug.

...or just make it easy on yourself, and do a medium grind and enjoy.

Ok, sorry for posting here, but it has some relevance to the E-Nano

First thing first, the main differences between e-nano and ev-2 are bowl sizes, and restriction?

Did the ev-2 come out after the nano?

I'm seriously considering getting an ev-2 now just because of the sale right now.

ALSO: if you're here @ACE OF VAPE, will walnut EV-2s be available?

EV2 is older. Its also larger and whip based however a direct draw attachment is available for it as an accessory. Major difference other than size and type of draw is that the E Nano has a rotary style dimmer switch so you can easily adjust the temp. The EV-2 requires you to use a tool like a screw driver to turn... well basically a small screw type dial to adjust temps. Much less convenient IMO, however for the price the EV2 cant be beat.

OT: I just odered some adjustabowl GonGs and a new adjustabowl thick stem (plus more awesome basket screens). Thanks @ACE OF VAPE !

You threw the ball and gave the facts
Batter brought the runners home....
Now the time to answer comes,
The pitcher stands alone.

You all but answered your question.
E-Nano is wonderful.
The HI is wonderful too.
Here you are in the Nano thread asking that question... to me this means you decided.. because you can only gain positive reinforcement here... we are all fans!
Which do YOU like the best?
The money difference is not that significant... do you need to save that amount?
Can you wait a year?
If you wait can you hang on to those funds before Murphy shows up to enforce his law, and hands you a new financial obligation!
Good luck on the decision, I know you will feel good whatever you decide.
You could always do both!....
you could start saving for the second now!

I agree with @Vitolo. A year is a long time, however the good news is that the Nano is very popular here on FC. Why is that good news? You can easily sell it on the FC classifieds and recoup a lot of your purchase cost if you decide to move on.

Why not put yourself on that wait-list and in the meantime buy a Nano? I highly doubt it will be the case but you can always sell the Nano and pick up the HI when your number is called in 12 months.
