The Inhalater is a HORSE of a vape! My Xp is with me all the time, always charged and ready to go!
You guys at Pharmacor should take part in festivals and vape competitions or something :) ! Just sayin you know ...

IMO the Xp might be a better choice, I never try the T-vape but it don't appeal me at all, I think it's a poor choice, it can't be compared with the Xp!

My Xp is 10 month old and is still working perfectly, it never go back to Pharmacor and I never need a replacement, it's a fuckin awesome portable vape!
I partially agree with this, the XP is more worth the 200+ dollar range from the impression it gave to me, I chose not to buy it as I didn't like the form factor, but would recommend a INH over a T-Vape if you weren't trying to save money or didn't want a manual vape.

I honestly don't feel as if the Inhalaters would have me ending up with a different end product or high, but I can say you are paying more for the ease of use.

But I would like to make it clear that the T-Vape is not a poor choice in general, if you want a pen style vaporizer, its a solid performer. But I can understand if its a poor choice for your needs.

I am watching this with interest but definitely won't be contributing until these are out in the wild.

As a user that prioritizes taste - I want to make sure the newest version is superior to the XP. Just adding glass may not be sufficient. I am also a little concerned about the final product given the botch job on the XP release and the fact that it appears that Greg has yet to do any testing with the glass capsules (he is using polyamide in the demo and has yet to receive the glass pieces from Germany) I think glass poses a unique challenge for a portable vape given the poor conduction properties as opposed to steel and thin polyamide.

Lastly I don't understand why this is being crowdsourced. This appears to be a minor refinement of an existing product, the glass is already being manufactured. Just feels like the campaign is being used as a marketing tool post the grasshopper campaign as opposed to funding necessity.

Not trying to be a hater - I will gladly pay retail if this thing can deliver clouds and taste, just a few red flags here...

@baltik I had the same thought about the glass vs. the polyamide and its ability to heat up in a timely manner. I too am surprised that they are pushing these glass capsules before they themselves have even had a chance to put them through the ringer...

I can see how that's an easy conclusion to come to, but I don't think that is the case. Even minor updates require new molds, new solder stencils, updating the pick'n'place machine routine, training old staff, building a new test bed and much more. Production is expensive, and Inhalater's had a rough ride through the last generation. I see this situation as being more comparable to the EVO indiegogo than the grasshopper.

I think the Evo analogy is appropriate - having said that if the glass capsules are backwards compatible, doesn't that imply that the molds are largely the same?

The experience gained over the last 2 years and 2000 Inhalater produced gives us better ability to predict the timeline. In any case, we will be supplying the units on a first come first served basis. Indiegogo funders will be in the very first to receive their units.

Glass capsule are expected to be tested at the shop this week. The Air capsule has been tested and arguably supplies some really cool advantages.

05 units are a full step ahead of XP's il all areas. Manufacturing technology is completely new, backward compatibility is limited to the diameter of the capsules.

As I write these lines, crowdfunding is the avenue on which we can rely the most surely to get things finally moving for Pharmacor.

I trust Greg not entiealry sure why but I don't think he would lie to us about what we are getting, but I guess only time shall tell.

I'm really glad this thread inspired me to dig through my glass stems and have been using the one that fits my 004 for a few daze now and find it to improve the taste, still getting a nice roast on the herbs, though its a bit slower to get to completion which I think is what has improved the flavor. I like higher temp vapor, so usually it's just the first hit or two that's tasty then the flavor goes down hill with the regular capsules. The glass seems to prolong the flavor. I hope the new glass stems work as well for the 005, I don't know my diameters or thickness on this stem yet so I can't give out any info other than a photo... the stem came with my HI in a classified sale. I think the 005 sound promising.

Well folks I have had a couple of days with my demo beta INH05..... There are a great many things to mention and comment on.... so should I pass over something of interest to you....I trust you will post and ask to talk about it.....
OK I know one of the biggest issues that need to be addressed was reliability...and in my mind that was largely do to the USB failures... well my beta unit had only 3 of the steps taken {production will have all 4} to address these issues.....and I must say.....they did a fantastic job....I am extremely confident that we will not be breaking anymore USB ports......YEAH...!!! :rip:

The 4th step my beta unit didn't have or should I say had but the switch manufacturer is fixing the clicks to make them a bit more pronounced...... my clicks are very soft.....and I don't believe my switch knob had the stops...... which could be viewed as a 5th measure actually.....
I did also have a small mishap with this prototype switch..... it had developed a poor connection at the contacter arm..... I cleaned it and greased it No worries.......

Accessing the battery and all that worry of being fragile.....completely GONE.... the switch knob popped right off {no knife needed} the ribbon cable has been cleaned up and reduced width...the new notch along the inside makes removing the switch assembly...nothing...so easy....and no worry of damaging it.... the only concern is the ribbon cable being tucked in and the knob being aligned to accept the switch actuator.... I'm told that could crack the switch itself..... but really this wasn't that hard either..

the new PBT bodies have reduced the weight by 15 grams...... it is very noticeable when it's in your hand for sure..... at 1st I took this to almost give it a cheaper feel...especially since the top and the bottom switch knob are recessed now so the cover will snap in nicely.....all of that IMO took away some of that sturdy feel the XP has....
The ring at the top is gone and about a 1/4 of the switch knob is trimmed off and now recessed... but after using it and see the improvements on the inside.......VERY NICELY Done.......Indeed.....

The heating chamber redesign.....1st my retraction....the sensor has not been embedded in with the element.... however the layout has been redone to better distribute heat to all areas of the capsule... on my beta unit however there was milk chocolate {1/4" almost} at the mouthpiece end of the cap.... I was assured that this had already been identified and was being adjusted for perfection in the production release....
I've gotten a good look at the inside Heating chamber improvements.....VERY NICE.....clean well thought out......and so far no signs of scorching the cap.... my XP always starts forming 2 scorch rings in all my caps.....

Taste does seem to be improved.....which I'm sure has something to do with a more evenly distributed distillation process and no sign of scorching so far......you still can't let her sit too long or she will singe your herb...I'm sure we have all experienced it by now....talk just a bit too long and .....whamo instant burnt popcorn......{I wish they would address that issue} anyway noticeably improved taste....

so, this unit is actually convection and conduction?

I've supported the Inhalater for a while now. It's definitely great because of its small size and stealth. But Vapor production and taste are lacking in the XP. While the glass capsules may help, I think the price of this vape is too much.

Having used a solo side by side against the inhalater XP, I will say the solo gave much better hits. Taste and vapor quality. Sadly, the only thing I had to show with my XP was that it is small, microUSB chargable and could hook up to a waterpipe easily.

Yes this is a new device, but the technology is very much the same. And I am skeptical that this company hasn't really made much improvements. All In all, I would not support this campaign. I know I will likely be flamed because I am basing it off the old models, but given the trouble in the past, I would be much more comfortable sitting back and waiting to see.

Maybe if it was the same price as a solo I would consider...

Yes...in fact all of the units have been both all along.... they have just IMO paid a bit more attention and focus on improving the conduction side of the house..... something I am very much an advocate of... however I think many of us have been trying to send the manufacturer the message that they need to also spend a bit more focus on reclaiming there convection properties.........

It has seemed as though every improvement made along the way has upped the conduction side of the ratio and consequently has inadvertently lowered the convection... or so it would seem......but it has clearly always been there.....making use of the radiant heat to warm the incoming air....has been apart a functioning part of the Inhalater design from the beginning.......never went anywhere....

weird... my Q2 never burnt anything. even on high settings. i could fire it up, let it sit there throught the whole session w/out touching it and nothing would be burned at all.

your review is great news indeed! now where is that indi campaign???

i agree that the taste is not the best, but its decent and i can live with it due to its portability. vapor production however i have found to be very different from your experience. some of the richest and thickest vapor ive ever had from any vape. my Q2 could pump clouds easily with the likes of my DBV and Hakko vapes.

hey dude that is pretty awesome of you.

Thanks to you too.

Hope to start posting up youtube videos reviewing a lot of the vapes I have. Maybe one day I'll have the 05 to add to my collection!

Til then though I patiently wait to see if this turns out to be as good as that Q2? model.
