Discontinued Pinnacle Pro

The only problem I have is with customer service. When they sent out the wrong mouth pieces they refused to send me the new pes pong to replace the one that came with my WT.

exact words "The cost on the water tool would be higher if the pes pong was included."

Wish I could use my pro, currently can't partake in vaporizing for a while

Got my replacement glass piece today, have to say I'm not very satisfied, the thing looks nice, taste even better but it is not very sturdy at all, will have to be very careful and it def won't be able to go in my pocket anymore, it hits a lot better but that would be great if I wasn't getting a mouth full of herbs everytime I take a hit!Guess I'll be adding a screen and hoping the engineering version is better that this bandaid.

So I’m sure many of you now have your TRVB GonG and pretty much agree with the posts that it is not very stable for use with the WT, will come out in your pocket, etc. Well largely due to a picture in a post from @Sativape, my new grandson, plus posts from long ago (PNP PonG condoms), I present a way to make your GonG very stable. By using a standard silicon baby nipple, cut off the tip, insert the TRVB Gong, and you have a very stable way to keep the GonG secure to our PNP in less than 5 minutes. Sure the GonG wiggles a bit, but it will not fall off! The nipple lip/rim works nicely as a handle to easily pull over the PNP!



So why did I do this? Well the orange cone washer finally failed last night and I decided to continue my original shaping of the silicon tube that came with the Epic GonG. But I needed a way to keep the GonG secure to the PNP. What you see is the result below. The tapered silicon tube is close to the GonG/bullet end. Remaining Epic tube segment is folded and prevents the tapered section from coming back up tube. This technique can be done with an o-ring instead of the custom taper section. Finally comes the silicon nipple to hold it all together. To prevent the bullet from rattling and giving this GonG the extra wow factor, press the screen back down.



Because the PNP is sealed, with the bullet fully engaged, secure beyond imagination (will not fall out in pocket), this is the best BarnBoy PNP improvement yet! To prove how strong the bugger is, see photo of water tool hanging out. Look at the water line! Would you do that with your PonG???

@phazedout – THANK YOU for making my head swell! Send me a personal message if serious. I have plans and parts for Car Charger Proto2, just no desire/time. You could make that change. For the glass, it is all commercially available, just see my posts. I hope you would consider the above as it took me less than 10 minutes and I was very, ah…. very influenced. And even the car charger was easy (Another BB Series- Open the puppy up??). Took me longer to figure out the issue with the 24AWG…

@BarnBoy you really are some thing! The crack is still a design issue but something like the baby nipple trick might make me feel safe using the new gong even with the defect. That's a great idea! Thank you!

Your innovation and application of this baby bottle product will definitely ensure that the air intake will be only coming through the inlet holes.

You've killed 2 birds with 1 stone BarnBoy!

1) Ensure the glass gong will stay absolutely secure.

2) As @ jcbsides stated, came up with the crack work-around.

I have not used my units over heat level 3. I have 2 units with cracks. My third unit I sent back to VaporBlunt to get fixed because the sleeve of the unit tore while taking the mouthpiece off when the Pnp was cold. I was charged $50.

This happened before my other 2 units acquired the cracks at the seam /sleeve area right in front. Before I realized that there was a problem with the materials the body of Pnp is made from. I knew the problems with the mouthpieces, but didn't know that included the unit itself. I was led to believe this was user error on my part.

Be careful to heat your unit up before taking the mouthpiece or pong off.

So I immediately ran out to Walgreens and got a couple nipples! It has improved the stability a bit and I was able to do a session with the water tool, but I'm still uneasy. The crack is spreading a tiny bit and it looks like if the gong got pushed the wrong way it might open up like a pair of double doora.

Sorry guy! I'm remote and unable to type now. What about a piece of the nipple tip as a tube around the PNP collar that is split to help keep it together??

@Lizard King - excellent photo and though it supports my previous dirty PonG theory, your photo has me thinking a bit differently. The shape of most of these PonG breaks are similar; major fracture near screen and taper toward the PonG exit (mouth) hole. So my latest theory is the hard fold of screen at PonG wall is creating a stiff radial interface. As the screen (metal) warms up, under any setting, it will expand. If the screen can not bend/fold it will just expand and break the PonG wall, just like what we see...

If this is the case, push out the PonG screens a bit from the PonG surface 1mm. Extra benefit will be holding bullet in place getting air path through bullet....

Just a thought...

I took my PonG screen out for the first time when cleaning the PonG a couple weeks ago. As has been noted, these things are hard to get back in, so I actually inserted it backwards with the flat top towards the mouth opening. I use an No2 screen on my bullets so I figured this was ok and the PnP operates just as well as always.

@BarnBoy do you see any issues with my using the stock PonG screen upside down? You seem to be the new authority on such matters......with your awesome Mod knowledge

That's brilliant, I was able to get that to on there perfectly. Now for a screen on my TRVB gong...

So my parcel arrived hand delivered by post man..... On the custums declaration was printed VAPORBLUNT WTF....
However the good news is it was not opened by custums. was easy to tell becuase the packaging was good.

And more good news....
Both PONGS?GONGS arrived as requested
Got the Glass GONG and also the Engeneer PGONG. I dont know which version this is but it looks good and comes with screen.
The GONG is only a quick fix. Anyone with some DIY skills should be able to match this with a PONG for a good fix, or there are lots of other ingenious ideas ie. @BarnBoy

They confirmed that CCW Tech would be used. That sucks.

Loaded up my Pinnacle Pro a few minutes ago and pressed the power button, nothing happened. Put it on the charger, still nothing. Is it broken?

Wow second day of head-swell! Much more of this and my size 64cm hat won't fit no mo...

You can try. I'm not sure it helps alleviate the radial expansion issue. Instead I suggest normal mount but ease up the screen edge/fold to give it a path to expand and flex. Dome screen to help keep the bullet from rattling. The dome should make it easier to insert back in the PonG and give an expansion path... (Did this while I was using a PonG)

Clear plastic like a cut down PONG. The glass is inserted into it. The glass has no taper and a small screen inserted into it. Excellent example of a cracked PONG! I still believe this is the case in 99-100% of the "melted" pong examples, just to different degrees of fracturing. (BTW, still have NEVER received a "melted" PONG)

Not that we are trying to say that a cracked PONG is not a problem, it's just not a health concern. Unfortunately, the glass insert is not going to prevent this kind of problem from occurring. I have been looking at the design very carefully in recent days, and the best I can say is this:

Make sure you keep your PONG clean. Most of the breaks seem to stem from resin buildup causing you to over stress the pong back and forth on the unit in order to get it off.

This ALSO explains why we see some examples of cracked housings. Notice how the center of the crack in the above photo corresponds directly to the crack in the other pictured housing cracks. It has to do with the geometry of the PONG/Housing interface - nothing I can do about this until a complete redesign of the Pinnacle product line is complete.

That nipple idea is fantastic. Once the gongs are widely available I will request one.

What I am worried is the extra stress on the well from the O-Ring, or if needed, the silicone, it will start to form a crack eventually.

My unit has never cracked and i use it daily. I do prefer glass mp so please let us at least know a period of when this thing is going to be released. I dont like the idea of me ingesting melting plastic.

@Engineering any timeline update for the glass lined pong yet please? I would rather it be delayed and done right that's for sure Did you decide on the 0-ring yet?

It is now also my humble opinion that the damage I have seen recently was due to pong removal whilst unit was cold? I always remove it whilst its warming up or hot and haven't had any issues. All my plastic pongs/mp's click into place.

I have emailed @TherealVaporblunt to request no "vaporblunt" labled packages please, havent had my shipping number yet so hopefully I am in time ahh to dream of the day when the world doesnt give a fuck what people want to vape/smoke....
