Vaping and Gum Surgery

I had a gum graft surgery yesterday morning and I am wondering what sort of risk i run vaping post op. I had my two lower front teeth grafted which are stitched, and a putty on the roof of the mouth that covers the incision on the palate.

The procedure essentially involves cutting a flap in the palate (only about 16 mm in my case i believe) and removing tissue to be re-stitched on top of the affected gum area. After, they stitch the roof back up and place the putty as a protective measure.

Post op is pretty uncomfortable, and though painkillers help a bit, recovery is really a matter of killing time. I would love to help kill some of this time vaping if i could.

Thanks for your help!

I have heard of people developing dry socket from smoking or vaping after oral surgery. I'd hold off for a bit until you've healed up a bit. :2c:

Perhaps edibles would be an alternative? There are tons of recipes in the Cooking with Cannabis section.

And welcome to the forum. :)

A bag vape could work as when you draw theres little if any resistance. It's the vacuum created by sucking that can cause the dry socket so as long as you're not pulling hard you should be ok.
Edibles would be best though.
Good luck!

Welcome. Cannabis milkshake does sound better, the one two punch. Pain relief from cannabis
and the cooling milkshake effect too.
good luck

It was touched on above, but a bag vape or any other vaporizer with little to no resistance. You do not have to worry about dry sockets if you are not sucking.
