Herb Grinders

Wish I had that code last week NY

I ended up ordering off amazon a few days ago, but just saw that it has not sent out till today

Should arrive on Friday.

One LHS did have SCS but only had one 2 piece left, so I went elsewhere.

The other LHS did have what I was looking for, but wanted over $10 more than MSRP and refuses to price match, so I decided to go elsewhere once again.

I ended up buying off Amazon, with Prime's free shipping... but would have ordered direct if I had a code at the time.

I am not slowed down and have other grinders I am using, but I go through a lot of herb and I see keif everywhere, stuck on glass, countertops, plates, etc. I feel I am loosing this fine keif instead of collecting it in a 4-piece.

Edit-I love the look of it,if it was better quality metal I'd buy one.
I just wish they listed what metal it's made of

got my large 4 piece Santa Cruz Shredder from the last Massdrop.

after few days use I must say all in all it's a well thought trough piece and I like it so far. :tup:

Grind is more fluffy type as decribed and loading and grinding seem more easy then with my old crank-handled Sharpstone.

I really like my kannastor grinder. My buddy gave it to me probably ten years ago, and I (embarrassingly) just gave it its first iso bath. I forgot how silky smooth those threads are.

I know right?! Maybe I cleaned it at some point over the years and forgot. It hadn't seen much use lately, until I started rocking a volcano a few months ago. Decided it was time for a bath since my kief collecting screen was completely caked with resin, and therefore useless lol.

I always get space case and sharpstone mixed up.

Anyways I like my sharpstone quite a bit :tup:

Mendo mulcher is another good brand.

I collected space case grinders until I was given my 1st SCS.
I still love Space case, but SCS is always the first one I grab for.
(I still have my space cases)

I did not know what you meant until I got home today and used the SCS for the first time.
WOW, the smooth action is a world apart from my previous grinders. I say previous, because I also know they will not see much more action

I like the main chamber and keif chamber are also taller than my previous case.
Very well done!

Just ordered a 2.2" Sharpstone 4 piece, couldn't stand using an acrylic grinder any longer. Lent out my Mendo Mulcher a while back and never got it back.

Anyone use a Sharpstone before? For only $22 bucks (25% off sale on their website) I had to grab one.

Funny you should ask.
I have been meaning to post a pic of the two sharpstones in my possession,
because they are like two completely different companies made them.

I have been using the blue one for years, it's my favorite grinder to date.
It fluffs up the herb well, is easy to turn, and it hardly ever needs cleaning.

The silver one has never been used, but will be soon because I'm tired of cleaning this other no-name un-anodized aluminum one I've been using. I will be surprised if I like it as much as the blue one. It's not just the height and outer details, but the teeth are different, it's got a plastic ring like my other one but not the other sharpstone, and it seems chrome plated rather than anodized. Maybe sharpstone used to make their own and now they're just contracting out, or the specs have changed who knows. Maybe it's a fake.

I'll have to report back on how well it works, or not :spliff:

Well good to know you really like it! I'm excited to start using a 4-piece aluminum grinder again.

I found this article while looking up more about Sharpstone when I was debating which grinder to purchase. Don't really know how accurate it is. http://www.wikihow.com/Tell-if-Your-Sharpstone-Grinder-or-Press-Is-Authentic-or-Counterfeit

Do you press your pollen?
Vape it as is?
Make Tincture?

or do you do something else with it?

I am trying to determine what the point of a press might be. It would seem one would want to just convert it back to shake for consumption in a vaporizer....

still experimenting here, sometimes I use it sandwiched in some herb in a vape.
I pressed some, convenient for travel.
also just tried some cana caps, need more decarb, more experimenting :science:

tincture just added to the list for trying :freak:

Bought my spacecase a while ago on ebay and am looking for a grinder that turns smoother and needs less cleaning. Decided to order a SCS from the official website, until i saw the shipping cost to europe..

Sent a mail to santacruz about the shipping, received a reply quite quickly, saying that they will add an extra grinder for free due to the high shipping costs. So at the end of the day i'm getting two small 2,2" grinders for $62 including shipping. Great deal since it's almost impossible to find SCS sellers in europe. Top notch service if you ask me. Keep up the good work SCS! :tup:

My Sharpstone cranktop just broke. I don't know if it is real or counterfeit but the handle that is only held on by a screw stripped out. Pure junk!

Neither of my "sharpstones" have serial numbers,
but I think the blue one is the real deal just an older model.
The chromed one doesn't even try to look the same,
unlike the knockoff/fake in your link!

I just vape it straight in my sublimator, it tastes amazing that way and is quite effective.

I have a friend that gets a lot of it and makes pyramids of hashish in his oven.
I don't really like vaping hashish that much compared to keif,
so I think I would just mix it back with ground flowers if I wasn't subbing it.
Maybe edibles, it would be a great garnish to sprinkle on any dish!

my sharpstone cleartop lasted a year and a half before a tooth broke off. im am 98% sure it was authentic. that day i ordered a space case and can tell the dif in quality between the two.

i will be ordering a SCS later today and will likely sell my SC if i like the SCS as much as others do here.

in the world of herb grinders it does appear that you get what you pay for.
