No, but on arrival l treat the glass like it came from a nuclear accident site, scalding water, steam, SimplyG, iso99, coca-cola, washing up liquid, soak for 24hrs in SimplyG water after scalding water and steam, agitation, also fill with coca-cola for several days then soak with washing up liquid for 24hrs, finally iso99 again then scalding water and washing up liquid, lots of agitation then final rinse in firstly hot water then cold for ages to remove all detergent residues..I might even rinse them several times in cold water over a period of days, scrubbing where i can, till finally I can hold them to the sun and see pristine goodness!

I reckon, by the time I'v put the glass through the above process, anything nasty that remains will be indifferent to a little vapour and bubbling water.

There is a certain same smell present when I've opened every box, almost a confection factory type smell but not quite, the smell of industrial china maybe or is this how a glass workshop smells?

Hey all,
Just tried to order a D020 from sunshine store on dhgate, but when I went to finalized my purchase, I got routed to a website called "www.securesuite.net" asking for my SSN and various other info. I've ordered from sunshine store before, and I don't remember having to enter such secure info. Has anyone else had to do this? Or does anyone have a link to a store with a legit D020 that isn't sunshine store? I tried Kathy's site, but I wasn't sure if it was a D020 or an LY003 or whatever those are called.

Are you using a different card? Maybe one that hasn't been used online before, thus requiring bank authorization?

My 65 bucks triangle recycler is here. Thanks to a communication error regarding declaration values it turned into a 90 bucks triangle recycler. Nontheless, this tiny thing is awesome. Due to the size everything happens VERY fast and its hard to catch the vortex action, still very fun to hit. Glass feels nice, no major marks so far, came pretty clean. The mouthpiece looks a bit weird but I really like it. I guess due to its size the hits taste WAY better than with my bit Blaze recycler (maybe honeycomb v.s. the simpler difuser of the triangle plays a role as well). All in all really happy about this purchase.

EDIT: Damn, thats the best tasting piece of glass I own so far. Good things do indeed come in small packages.

The Kathy Hu perc to honeycomb came as well. Scratched, dirty, slightly crooked HC and MAJOR glass imperfection above they disc. Looks kinda like the guy who made it smashed the HC in there and caused some slight damage in the still hot glass above it. Can't speak on function yet as it is currently soaking in PBW. Oh yeah, the perc is crooked as well. Kathy ain't getting another cent from me.

EDIT: Ok I have to backpeddal a little bit. While the perc is crooked, at least its attached to tube wall for security. After a good PBW clean, most of the stains seem to be gone - for now. While a bit wonky, the overall shape is much better than with the regular HC bubbler I got from her. Functionality isn't that bad either, at least when you hit the water sweetspot. The can itself could be a bit wider to prevent the straw effect when you empty it. The base is smooth and the alligment of the HC seems to be quite good. The welds, though, are bubble country. Especially the base.

He doesn't have that recycler on there anymore :doh:. My lhs has one and I really liked it, and now that I know he doesn't have it anymore I may need to buy it. Damn you GAS:science:
