This is why I love the core but since the iris is portable it's 100x better! That ohm reader feature it's fucking awesome! I'd love this for the bender, it's pretty fucking cool with the hercules being able adjust the flavor on the dial but the bender really succeeds in the VV department! So far its very nice. Dialing in your rips is awesome! I don't know how I have been living without this in my life! It is a world away from just switching out an sr74 rod for an sr71. I am talking custom city. Flavor and cloud chasers will want this for sure! Heavy on the button? This will solve it. I can't seem to force oil into my bottom chamber at some voltages, yet still pull crazy flavorful clouds. Its my first day with it, and already I love it.
Later I will test it with my other sr71 and the sr74 rod. For now though ...being able to dial in hits is just what was needed on the go. I can see this being a major factor in the "on the fly" adjusting of loads and rips in different viscosity oils. Thin oil...lower your heat (voltage)...thicker oil....raise it up.....etc.
The heads up led display (this is NOT the final version!) Is awesome.
I love being able to see if my herc is assembled correctly at the press of a button (holding the "+" tells you your ohm/resistance and holding the "-" shows your voltage. Voltage can easily be adjusted at the press of a button up/down.
It is also very cool to finally be able to LOCK my persei. Its just gonna be awesome to throw it in a backback/surf bag/wherever and not have to worry about killing a cart, or wasting oil. The 5 button press on/off is cool on its own....but the fancy scrollwork of System : On really sold the nerd in me. I hope this remains in the final version!
I will be testing this in every way I can think of for the next week, so if you have any requests, questions, or whatever......fire away! I'll be happy to help answer them as best I can!
