Hi guys. I'm kind of a noob here... Long time reader and lurker but new to posting... I do believe that The Lotus will be my first vape. I plan on buying the WPA kit and some extra screens, an extra hot plate and the J-hook attachment. I am also looking at the bubblers I see so frequently mentioned all over these forums... On DHgate. My question... in some of the videos I have seen it looks like the bubbler Do20 i think... will i need a reducer to a 14.4? some of the videos I have seen look like the WPA conneccts right at the joint.... any help would be much appreciated... And please be kind... I medicate for my eyes and have read lots on here... but the black page with light letters make me go snow blind... so I can only search so much lol... Thanks guys.

Awesome! Thank you so much! How is the ambient smell of The Lotus? After reading how this may be the best one hit vape ever I was sold... I am a one hit combuster out of a little bong so there is little to no smell.... I am hoping the Lotus will be similar!?

Easily the least ambient smell of any vaporizer I own. Because of it's quick heat up and cool down it's easy to make sure your load isn't heated any time that your not drawing from it. I make a point of pulling some cold air through the load while clearing my hit, so that cools the load down to the point it's not releasing any major odor between hits

yeah, i think @SSVUN~YAH is posting baked again...hopefully not shopping baked too! none of those pieces look like they would accept a gong joint.

My Lotus is working as all you guys said it would. It worked so well on day 1 that I decided to take it with me as my road trip vape instead of one of my desktops.

Thanks to all you guys and your usage posts. My technique keeps getting better the more I read. I adjusted my flame to the width of the lotus petals last night and things got even better. What I love about this forum is I had already put this vape in my top four without even trying it based on the fanfare it was generating here among the regulars. And I am not disappointed in the least. It's exactly what I thought it was based on all your comments...thanks!

Last night I was using it and thinking about it out loud and my wife said I should post that. I told her that's what I usually do...get vaped and post! Anyhow, my thoughts succinctly summed up...

The Lotus is a simple, inexpensive yet elegant design that just works that I can see someone having as their only vape or daily driver. If one were to haphazardly get this vape as their first, they might very well not get another for a long time!

Aaaargh... I've been wanting a VAP2 and a Lotus for some time, but have to spread out the purchases. I had made up my mind to get the VAP2 first, than the Lotus. Posts like this don't do much for my indecisiveness.

Change the way the forum looks. Go to settings and change your style to something like xf. It will be white with black lettering. Hope that helps:tup:

@Tom Funk -- I hear you. At least you are getting the best and cheapest vapes out there! Either way you're good to go with those vapes. Do you want a portable first or a desktop?

Well, the Lotus can be both, right? At least for me it can… @Tom Funk, I believe the sensible choice is to get the Lotus first so you can vape anywhere and when you can get a VAP2 for the awesome taste I am hearing about.

@oklahomie would you mind link the j-hook link ? I bet it was pages ago... Really nice video, much more tempting than a picture !
Also how big is the mouthpiece hole ? I would like a j-hook which can be cleaned fast with water + brush. I like the size of it !

I got that piece from a local head shop. I wish I had a link for you guys because it really is a perfect piece for the Lotus. The hole is pretty small at the top, but I think that helps with the air flow.

That's what I thought. Thank you for confirming. I am so psyched to order on monday. I have been lurking and reading for months. I can't wait to quit combusting!
It wasn't really hard for me to convert. The main reason I would ever combust was not being able to take some quick tokes right when i wanted to. The lotus is always there and reminds you of smoking a pipe. You can get small hits that you can sip forever, or huge lung busting hits that can kill the bowl quick. You will love it!

I agree wholeheartedly about having a portable first but I've got a T1 and a Solo. I'll be selling the Solo to fund the VAP2 and Lotus. The Solo is a great vape and very much an Everyman's vape but it wasn't really the most sensible choice for me. It only gets used like a desktop and the flavor while good is bland compared to the T1.

I still think I'll get the VAP2 first. It will give me a benchmark for flavor then I can work my Lotus technique and see how close I can get.

The thing that tempts me towards the Lotus first is the user control and heating only when hitting. That's something I prefer the T1 over the Solo for too (not so much the stirring, wetting the smooth flow and farting around with batteries though).

T1 will remain in my quiver and will be to my Lotus what the Firefly is to yours (would love a Firefly but my money is better spent on getting some good genetics ATM).

By the way, do you find the SCS grind generally superior to just crumbling the flowers for the Lotus?

Thanks @stickstones for your response. I like your final four. That's what I what I would imagine too just from reading around FC. I would imagine an el cheapo final four to be Lotus, Solo, VAP2, E-Nano.

Work it out your way! That's the sensible think to do!
The Lotus is the best home vape I could wish for!!! A Herbie would be nice as well at some point… :brow:

I'd get a Solo again for parties outdoors, filling vapor lungs and pass them around… :)

And finally a Grasshopper instead of the T1 for ultimate stealth… :p I didn't like my T1 a lot, it got too hot and ate batteries like I eat bananas! That dreaded center hole also caused a lot of tunneling and together with the bits and pieces that fell in the heater spoiled the taste… :disgust:

EDIT: The SCS, especially the 4 piece ones fluff the buds like nothing else and is a perfect match for all convection vapes! But a whole nug that is broken with fingers when dry enough also works amazing with the Lotus! Better than the rest of the vapes in my sig! But I also need a container with ground herb around me so…

I love my LOTUS in fact I use it daily.
I use my other vaporizers the same.
Just added the LOTUS.

The Vap2 is a very good inexpensive vaporizer.
You will be fine.

Get a LOTUS when you can.

I just have to say I love your posts @ataxian . They sound like japenese haiku's in my head.

But my son is my favorite child as my Lotus is my favorite vape. It changes from time to time, I treat and love them all the same, and would never actually tell any of them that.

I don't want to hurt my vapes feelings!
