Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

I was unaware that heat was such an issue. I can let my Cloud+ run for days and only the screws get uncomfortable. Interesting......

That is because my OG Cloud got so hot you couldnt touch it. The EVO will get really hot if you run it on wide open boost mode for extended times. Otherwise its not too bad at the top.

....mine gets hot at the top too....not that big a deal since the bottom is more than adequate and I can handle that very comfortably...

Great Scott!
I had to open a ticket today. I was wondering why my evo never really grabbed me like the OG ticker did. I cranked the evo to max temp and waited over 20 min. Still only getting very light brown abv. No good!

Today is a very sad day. I got home from work and turned on my OG ticker Cloud, and heard nothing. After 10 minutes still no noise, a red light, and a very cold Cloud unit. I can't seem to locate the search function on the site right now, and didn't have much luck with google, but I was wondering if VXL is able to repair the original Clouds, or if they are offering any upgrades or trade in's still? I went ahead and filled a support ticket, but I'm just so anxious at the moment, I had to ask here as well.

I can't believe I'm vaporizerless at the moment, let alone Cloudless! :ugh:

From the first post of this thread, here is an addendum to address this issue:

VapeXhale continues to have difficulty obtaining replacement parts for the original Cloud due to circumstances that are beyond our control and unlikely to change.

In an effort to support affected customers we are offering a discount towards the all new VapeXhale EVO to those who own an original Cloud and have purchased the VapeXhale Cloud through an authorized reseller.

The upgrade will include getting a new Cloud EVO which features:

1. New improved heater, stronger and more durable
2. Modular bamboo, repairs are much easier, faster, and cost effective
3. New One Year Warranty
4. Broader temperature range for flowers and concentrates

I know a few of you that have been around for a while may have heard this pitch before with the Cloud+ but this time, we do ALL THE MANUFACTURING and based on early feedback, this unit has none of the failure issues of previous models. If you are interested in an upgrade, just contact support@vapexhale.com

Sorry to hear about your ticker. :(

:peace:

All you dragoncloud submitters are pretty boss! Some of those set ups look like it took some real courage to risk the glass :) Bravo FCers!

I'm going to be hitting my evo pretty hard in a few hours, and this stuff is just very inspirational! (my team got trounced in the first round :(. )

I really like my early bird double-chambered swaggertube,
but find myself reaching for this just as often:

It supports the evo well, and feels balanced when I hold it with one hand.

Had to come back to this because I also own a Blaze Showerhead and I agree, it's shockingly good. People often can't believe it's China glass. I think my Can is a bit bigger but yeah, these bubblers are GREAT with the EVO.

That was the third hit too. I find this piece super efficient. Where as my beaker polishes off in a hit or two mostly, this one I can get more, especially at lower temps.

Well, that's a pretty accurate representation! :freak:

I love your photograph.

I broke my swagger circ about 10 days ago. Have a china $35 coming and a SSFG Hydraline. How exciting is that!?

Its like the picture on the tv is foreshadowing what the Evo is going to do to you. KNOCK OUT HIGH!

I am still pretty new to this scene. Can you please elaborate on the efficiency comment here? I would think it was the opposite - if a piece was polishing off an ELB in one hit, is that not more efficient?

I am currently doing 1/4 fills at ~2PM and rarely get anything useful out of a second pull. After a stir, there is some more to be found, but ABV is coffee dark. I was feeling pretty happy about this and it would seem to be the opposite if what you are saying - so I'd like to understand this better. Is it that you want to spread it out for efficiency of being able to physically absorb to content?

I have a "re calibrated" EVO, it was one that was just running too hot and had to be sent in for an adjustment. I can run mine MAX at nearly 6 o clock with close to a 1/3-1/4 full bullet and completely and utterly kill it in one draw. It definitely puts me in a knock out like state for a few seconds, thats for damn sure! This is after letting it warm up for about 20-30 min as well so I am taking hits when the EVO is at the hottest it can possibly go.

I tried a normal sized dab the other day and all I did was SMASH it in the elb cap on the bottom, that way when I put the cap on the dab was basically upside down and on the inside of the elb. Running it at full blast got me 2 really good tastey hits but they were on the whispy side. There was no residue or messy clean up after either.

Yeah, basically I want to spread it out.

Doing one big hit is nice and all but sometimes it's too much or I don't wanna polish a bowl off in one hit. So that's where the bubbler is nice.

I just find I go through weed a lot faster when I only take one big hit because then I want to do more big hits like that :p

....yeah..pretty iconic phrase of the American sports arena...of folks of a certain age...of which I'm one...
Doing new ones now with the evo....lavestan...and honey-comb hash...and NCAA tournament ....sweet.

Could you guys comment on the efficiency of the standard 30$/waterless glass attachment?

I'm not so certain that I want a hydra tube right off the bat. Would I still love this vape after coming over from Da Buddah? Or does the hydratube really add that much to the experience and separate it from other vapes? Anyone use their EVO dry?

I'm going to scan the profiles of all the major pieces into my computer and CNC machine a really solid wooden tray to hold my EVO, glass and accessories.

You can always user your HT without water if you want. If it was me, I will always buy an HT.

I've never used my tube dry. I always use with water. I do not regret ever my Hydratube purchase. That's the main reason I bought the Cloud, was the tube.

I would def recommend a Hydratube with it.

I cannot comment on the efficiency of the dry piece, but I can say that IMO, the HT does in fact add that much to the experience. I cannot comment on how much it separates the VXL lineup from other vapes, but I can say that I have not seen one other that can replicate the ritual that I was so accustomed to when I would get home and do a bong rip or three. For me, the closeness of that experience has made the transition more of an evolution than something foreign and new.

I do not think there is another device on the market that could say the same for me. The water conditioning coupled with the dense, thick vapor produced, the shape of the designs, the versatility - all of these things lend to an argument that the HT's are almost a necessary luxury that is worth affording yourself.

The dry piece is fine, it beats a dry whip because it's made of glass.

But I would rather use a whip through water than glass alone,
and being able to use water without a whip is part of what makes the evo special.
Hope that helps :science:!
