Great Scott!
So for those of you who have had your LL rebuilt, or those of you who are simply happy with the LL the way yours is working, how many bowls do you get per battery? I know there are many factors, but I thought I was common with 1 bowl per battery, and half a second before it died. I want to send my cera LL and my cera EO in to be rebuilt, but honestly I don't know what I should be expecting in terms of performance.

I want the LL to be a good option for me again. I was impressed with it once before, but as it is now I dread being forced to use it, so it definitely needs a rebuild. Sending the whole unit in to see if they will PLEASE check it all over if I'm paying for 2 core rebuilds the rest needs to work.

The EO rebuild is worth it for a fresh ceramic alone. That thing has seen some nasty oil when I first started making my own when it came out. I've really raised the standards for which oils I'd throw in there, and to be honest I don't think I want anything that isn't clean enough to use in the cera anymore.

I get 3-4 bowls per sony vtc 4 battery on my rebuilt core. I pack pretty full and get like 6-7 tasty clouds per bowl:)

Cores vary some, total battery capacity more (some have 50% more than others). I'd say you can expect 30 to 45 minutes of useful heating time in the Cera LL core with good batteries. Enough for say 5 loads if you're careful? The 'at least one, and part of the next' sounds more like T1 with it's lower capacity (half of some Cera batteries) and considerably higher power usage (over 50% more, closer to double in some cases).

That should not change much with rebuilds in LL cores, perhaps it's battery? What sort of run times are you getting now?

OF, I remember you saying the Cera works well vaping hash. What is the best packing technique for this? I just looked for the search box to find it back in this thread but where did that go? I just got a gram of Durbin Poison in a nice chunk and would like to vape it up right:tup: Thanks!

Yeah, search is missing, I assume part of the server change over? It wasn't all that much to start with, it's sorely missed though......

I've done lots of bubble (in the LL core). Most does just fine, some tend to get gooey and all and can lump together and block the air (meaning lots of stirring....). Most seem to vape really well Old style pressed hashes work great as well, I chop them up first to get more surface area. I tried freezing and grinding but chopping seems to work just as well and is faster and easier.

I'd stay away from anything that melts at all, those go in Revolution, DART or Cera EO cores.

Ok so 2+ bowls would have me very pleased with performance. They are definitely going back. Whats the best way to initiate the rebuild? I can't find it on the store. Email? I'll just email haha.

So my last concern is that my sony flat top battery doesn't really work in the cera. Most likely the spring being stretched out or something?

I've had good success communicating with the company on e-mail. They've gotten back to me pretty quickly.

I've been considering getting an oil vape. I could get a revolution from Vapor Envy (or an AVA and then get a DART loader from TET) to add to my T1 (sold my Cera LL as I am one of the odd ones who preferred the T1).

Or

I could save up for a Luna

What are the advantages of the Cera/Luna EO over the Revolution/DART and visa versa?

Priorities are flavour and changing strains easily without mixing flavours and effects.

I have a low tolerance, or at least I will have again soon when I bring it back down.

Oils used would be QWET and or QWISO.

Not entirely sure I will go down the oil route. I just don't like vaping through the popcorn with flowers but am also am too much of a tight-arse not to (which is entirely irrational as I produce far more flowers than I use lol).

Id probably go with the ava/dart route.

The advantages of the cera/luna are it holds more oil, and you get better battery life cause of the bigger battery. Thats about it.

But its also harder and more time consuming to clean which means changing between strains could get annoying if you want to clean it between loading.

Also youll save quite a bit since

Thanks mate. Sounds like the Cera/Luna isn't really ahead on anything that matters to me. Battery life and oil capacity isn't an issue for me. Hell, I'm usually done before the flavour runs out on the T1.

The main thing that shits me about the LiPo batteries on the T1 is no one seems to ship them to Oz. I some from Australian Vaporizers recently but if I get more I'll try to get newer ones. Theirs are as old as their T1's.

When the time comes, I think I'll have to hot someone on the forum up to do me a favor. Same with the AVA from Vapor Envy. They only ship to the US and France (???). Either that or I'll see if they will send to TET and get them to send them over with the DART loader.

By the way, @Haywood or anyone else who knows, do you store the LiPo batteries at 50% charge like for LiON batteries?

Yes, I store my Lithium batteries at about 60% charge. Not actually sure if the RCR123A batteries I have for my T1 should also be stored at reduced charge, but that's what I do.

Finally got my Cera back. Apparently it was the strap, which supposedly had already been fixed by the previous owner but I guess not? Anyway, hits like a champ. Hopefully it will help me conserve a little more as I think it will, if so this is the vape ive been searching 2 years for! Ill report back in a couple days with further thoughts, but so far im stoked on my purchase, totally worth the month's wait.

Hey guys, I ordered my Cera and its on its way. I am excited and been tracking it since they shipped it out on the 20th.

I just have a question to you experts and those who had time to use the Cera, how would you smoke Hash? I have several types (powder, chunky and hard, and softy putty) do you recommend using the E.O or the L.L for this?

There's a chance he had it done before a solid fix was worked out.....or he may have been telling you what you wanted to hear.

Glad it's sorted out, I'm sure you'll find it worth the effort.

Enjoy it, it's a great vape for sure.

Bubble and hard hashes (broken up or ground for more surface area) go in the LL core. No oils, full melts, partial melts, putty or anything else that runs when hot, that goes in the EO core.

Bubble in the LL core is great, semi liquid extracts (full melts, putty, taffies, etc.) are kind of a pain in the EO core (need cleaning out often, unlike clean oils, shatters and so on). For my money bubble in the LL core is a better idea.

In general because you're getting them too hot.

I suggest red ones (higher temperature) for use inside under the cap where temperatures are higher.

Hey OF,
For the ll cart, if your material are dense nugs that aren't as dry per say. What would be the best way to get em dry before you load it up on the ll cart, other then grinding.

You can air dry them (think warm air and circulation), but I'm a grinding fan. By breaking the bud up, it drys much faster and more uniform. I feed it to a coffee grinder personally. I don't mess with hand grinders except when I'm in the mood.

However you dry it out and break it up is fine, but no real vapor for you until it's dry......
