When I first got the Dual Cart PERSEI I double fisted a second one with C4 cartomizer!
I over medicated at first!
So, I got my 3.7 KISS cart and the better batteries yesterday. Only thing is I forgot that I needed the 3.7 long battery to use it! Can I buy these locally maybe? I'm thinking Radio Shack, maybe? I don't have enough time to order on before we leave.
BTW, for anyone who read my previous posts, I've decided to mail the stuff back. There happens to be a post office right near where we are staying

Turns out I had a lot of oil in the bottom chamber and an iso bath and water boil fixed the problem. The Herc is incredible, awesome product so user friendly. Thanks for the help before @Sleepin in CA and others

Well Guys.... I joined the club!!! The 20% discount was too much to resist! I bought the black Persei, NibblerXL, SR-74, Black Omicron Ti Series, Extre Ti KISS cart, 4x AW IMR 18350, 2x AW IMR 18650.
I also Just ordered this battery charger from Amazon... Now I am off to the dispensary to load up on some BHO!!! to remedy this all you have to do is cool it down.
Example if you take a 30 second hit try 15 seconds on 15 seconds off, the herc still produces vapor because of its design.
The reason for this is we wanted all around heat not just a single point offered by heating wires. Take a look at other oil vaporizers and youll see that the oil is getting vaporized thats in contact with the wire while whats not in contact is still there. when other wire heaters lose contact with the oil it starts to glow and cooks up the impurities and causes bad taste not with the Hercules because of the ceramic heating rod the heat is projected outwards and vaporizes all around, but since the surface area of the ceramic is larger then wire heaters it continues to produce vapor.
Big pluses here because it saves you battery life and it lasts longer then others. The math on the heater itself is what proves it.
lets take a 1 ohm wire heater and compare it to the hercs 1.5, 2.2 and .8 ohm ceramic heater.
1 ohm at 3.7v = 3.7 amps this is constant and needs to supply 3.7 amps at all times to continue its operation. This translates to lets say a 2900mah battery into about half an hour continuous use.
Now lets take the Hercules SR 71 white rod
1.5 ohms at 7.4v = 4.93 amps, but wait this isnt constant once the herc gets up to power it only requires 2.2 amps of power to keep it there. This allows a 700mah battery to run for 15 minutes continuously. 700 goes into 2900 4 times so you would get about 1 hour of use if both batteries are the same mah.
Now lets do the Herc SR74 white rod
2.2 ohms at 7.4v = 3.36 to start and then use about 1.8 amps to keep going. This translates to about 1 hour and 15 minutes of use if both batteries are the same mah but the 700 will only do 23 minutes
Now lets do the math on the Herc Black rod
.8 ohms at 3.7v -4.62 amps, but wait again this isnt constant as once the herc gets up to power it only requires 2 amps to keep going. This translates to 50 minutes of battery life on a 2000mah battery and if you do the math and use the same batteries on both the herc produces 1 hour and 15 minutes of use compared to the half an hour found in other vapes.
Now going into ego batteries lets say a 900 mah with a 2.0 ohm cartridge will get you about 40 minutes of use before it needs a recharge.
No matter how you look at it, the Herc is more efficient then anything currently available.

Can't find a rechargable battery to save my soul. Finally just bought two Energizer Lithium 123 (CR 123A). The book and battery guide card seems to indicate that they will work with the 5 ohm carts provided (though not ideal), but when I press the button the light flashes instead of staying steady. What does that mean? Did I ruin it?
no you did not, during the redesign of the tops the 6v option was taken off and we are in the middle of redoing the instructions. The older tops are capable of the 6v option only atm.

Thanks for the speedy reply. So if I have a 2013 version that also came with the double top, neither one will work with the CR123A?
try to power it on with the cartridge. If its 6v charged but under load the battery voltage will be 5.2v if im not mistaken.
All you have to do is put the cart on and try it. The range 5.4v-6.4v is blocked because of the low battery voltage indicator for the 7.4v

Yeah. All it does is flash when the button is pressed. I thought by carefully following the instructions, I would be O.K; but I was wrong again. Is it okay to use the 18650 with the 5.0 ohm cart. The card shows red, but the manual shows this configuration for priming? Will using it this way damage the cart?
No visable vapor, but seems to work a little bit.
you can use the 5 ohm with the 2 x 18350 just go easy on the button dont hold it down for long if you want light vapor.
and are you over tightening the cart? or once you feel resistance you stop?

The problem is I only have one good 18350. The other one charges to 3.7v, but after putting a load on it in the Persei, it only reads 2.7v. And the light does not come on when pressed with this set of batteries. And no the cart was not over tightened.

I just recieved the unit yesterday. I hope the fact that I got it from an ebay seller doesn't end our conversation as I do intend on buying addons and such from your company. I do understand that no warranty applies in this case. I attempted to buy the unit on your site and even had loaded the shopping cart and was about to buy it. Then I realized it was a new set with the KISS cart and I really wanted the double head. I suppose I should have asked if any of these were in stock, but I didn't know that contact could be made on this thread with the manufacturer.
I believe the unit works as I can get a bit of an effect with the 18650 and 5.0 ohm cart, but I have not bothered to even try the double head yet.
I confess I have not read the whole thread yet. Only about 100 pages in this thread so far.
I probably based my decision as much as anything by comments and pictures of the Persei by another forum member:Ataxion over on the Solo thread. I hope he owns stock in your company-he sure buys alot of them. LOL

Well, I've experienced the Persei with KISS carts (7.4 so far, 3.7 yet to try) now and I am in errrrrl love 
What an amazing vape! Between this and the nano for convection dabs I see NO place for the torch and nail in my errrrrlife. While I definitely liked the Persei experience with the old carts, the KISS carts bring it to another level IMHO. Now I can't wait to try the Herc, I'll be grabbing one shortly
Thanks to @Sleepin in CA for slingin' me my first Persei gear and the good advice... didn't freakin take long for the Persei bug to hit! lol Now I have a purple V3 with 3 KISS carts (2x 7.4, 1x 3.7) and my double top is now in trusty back-up mode. Time to read about rebuilding and pick up some kits from Sleepin so I can be prepared when my carts do give up the ghost.
I've been KISSing the Persei through the lips of my ION Matrix all morning and it's goddamn sublime
What an amazing vape! Between this and the nano for convection dabs I see NO place for the torch and nail in my errrrrlife. While I definitely liked the Persei experience with the old carts, the KISS carts bring it to another level IMHO. Now I can't wait to try the Herc, I'll be grabbing one shortly
