In the solo thread someone told me you can put a screen in the ss heating chamber and you can vape hash with no mix

For hash I would get a lighter based vape as they will get to the temps needed to vape hash

Can organic cotton be used with the solo? It seems like it would work. Or roll up a fine mesh screen into a ball with the has inside.

If you're talking about cold water or dry sieved stuff, you can just throw it right in the Solo, crank it to 7, and hold on.

charliedontsurf,
I've used hash in my Solo a few times but it really made a mess. It worked well enough but I think you need something with a bit more power to really get good results. I have also used it in The Plenty. Also worked but made a mess.

Wait til you use your E-Nano mate, you won't ever try anything else again with hash.

I won't risk using hash except for with my Nano, with glass/water path. I use an empty carbon filter filled with 316L Stainless wool and a basket filter on top with a finely mulched slurry of hash/a tiny bit of bud. The bowls last forever, the hash tends to stick to the bud, keeping roasting going for a long time, and everything can be reclaimed :D

In any vape, you can always vape hash alone off a small ball (not too squished together!!!) of 316L Stainless Steel. Make sure the vape is upside down so the hash doesn't gunk up the insides of your vape!

Out to lunch
A chunk of hash sitting on a screen is going to be hard to vape due to the high density, and the residue will make a mess. Shaving thin strips for easy vaping is always a good idea, and cotton is good for avoiding a mess.

personally I get good resultsa vaping hash with my underdog vaporizer. I do however have a vvps(variable voltage power suply), so I can turn up the temp for hash.
it depends on what kind of hash you mean though, when I talk about hash it's usually imported(maroc is especially common around here).
to get it vaping well you have to stir it after the first few hits, when it has gotten soft, to expose more surface area. if the quality of the hash is too high it won't vape as well, since it will immediatly melt together into one puddle, losing the extra surface area.
my vaporgenie also works well with hash, and it's less bothered by the quality of the hash since the screen is bigger, so I can spread it out more so it won't melt into one piece again.
also, I replace the screen every time I refill the bowl/stem with hash, since it gunks up the screen quickly and so decrease the possible airflow trough it.

I never used a solo, but I have read of people using it with hash with good results.
