I guess your right,I just like to think that everyone does research before purchasing a product,In reality it doesn't always happen that way.
I still have some old GPen stuff sitting around my house somewhere(don't want to throw away, but I don't want to give it to someone I like either)

Looks overly complicated. Extremely flashy. So flashy that it would make me wonder if some or most of the money paid for it would be based on quality in performance or instead overly done looks.

But I do have to admit it does look nice.

The Little packing/pick Tool that comes with the atmos raw is nice.

I took the hit for us all... the nasty bong fuckin hit... I knew there was gonna be a "grain of salt" approach this the MicroG Herbal Snoop Edition... but its a coil that gets red hot the second you hit the button... how is it NOT going to combust... makes no sense...

The reviews out there LOVE This thing... hard to find a bad one... but this is retarted... I get how the oil one at least makes sense... I think I just bought a hash lighter... which I ended up hitting because at a certain point just wanted to get medicated!! Did the hash in no time flat, effcient at that... but its not vaping in any way shap or form... not even close...

Portable battery powered one hit pipe and thats all... tool is cool and the glass jars...

Thanks for taking one for the team. The great reviews out there is why I never buy a vape unless it's been through the ringer here first.

News flash... the "Beats" products suck wang and no self respecting audiophile would disagree with that statement. Why would this be any different? Also, if I'm getting paid by a company to put my name on a product you better believe that said company is going to make sure you also back up and rep said product.

The mere fact that Snoopwhathefuckever is hocking this makes anything he says about its performance suspect.

Basically he can go eat a bowl of dicks, it doesn't matter what he has to say about the product. Grencos track record speaks for itself.

I told you so?

DO NOT BUY!! The electric coil only lasts 5-6 weeks as a rep informed me. To replace you need to buy a new tank costing $49.99. This ends up being over $500.00 a year! This product is absolute garbage! Our coil split after a month of use...my husband isn't even a heavy smoker! They do not warranty this piece either.

Do yourself a favour and purchase a higher quality product. While the initial price of the gpen is attractive the long term costs of having one is not at all worth it.

they make it quite clear on the site, life expectancy is 4-6 weeks... thats why there is 3 tanks... but your right... don't want something I have to buy supplies for... hence why I dont like the plax concept... For 100 bucks I had to try... will not recommend or repeat from Grensco again.

lucky I am in a city that has shops/resellers... couldnt imagine having to inet this stuff every couple weeks!

Let me start this off by saying that I am usually very good with researching and reviewing most things I am going to purchase. Almost a little on the anal side about it.

That being said, while I was shopping for my first vape, I come across the Snoop pen. I was pumped, I have been a huge Snoop fan since he first came on the scene. Just showed my age a bit lol. I bought the pen right as soon as I saw that he endorsed it. I figured how can this be a crap product with his name attached to it?

I bought it, and a extra tank. Pumped after I made my purchase, I start reading the reviews, and discover that it is not a true vape. Ugh.

Anyways, mine is supposed to be here tomorrow. I have read in some places that a 3/8 Honeycomb glass screen will fix the design flaw. Has anyone here tried this?

Just to calm your concerns, my friend had one of these on Friday and we bunged some Amnesia in it.

It went round the four of us and you know what - we all enjoyed it.

Yes, there is a trades description issue going on here, in that you get grey ash and it definitely burns. I must say though, it's not as hard and dirty a hit as people are saying. Went down nice and smooth for me.

Sure, if you're a vape purist you might be disappointed, but this thing went round a room full of smokers and there was zero learning curve. The loading process was ram the herb in the bowl, ram the pen in your mouth and press button - very easy.

So yeah, while it's not strictly a vaporizer, it only cost £30 and I imagine it could be useful for anyone who is out and about at a concert or festival. Also useful for someone who is trying to make the transition from smoking.

It also wrecks you, cos while the herb on the coil is being burned, the herb on top of that is being vaped.

Probably a bit healthier than a big spliff too. I advised my friend to get a honeycomb screen as he was worried about burning (he has stealth needs) so I will let you know how he gets on.

I use my gpen now everyday... but not for the intentions I bought it for... its a great hash burner... kief is extra nice because if you heat it up and tip the pen upside down... it melts the keif into goo! once you find that spot, its nice.

Tried a screen between proda and coil, kinda works better still burns though, but not as bad. Should have had a filterer from day one.

@misanthrope - thanks for your review. So basically you liked it although it did combust right? I would have loved an electric pipe back in the day.
Yep, don't be disheartened, I think anyone who combusts will not mind it and will enjoy it.

The whole package is very slick and it feels good quality, it just isn't a vape.

I would be interested to know if the honeycomb screen thing works.

Due to the replacable nature of some of the parts it's unlikely to be the main choice of people here. However, my friend smokes weekly, not daily; so for him it's been £30 well spent.

For any big Snoop fan it's a pleasant thing to own, the design being a map of his home town. I would like to see a similar design on a SSV or something.

In short. It's cool, it gets you there but it is not a vape.

Salutations Misanthrope,

...not strictly a vaporizer...

This sounds accurate enough for a quick description!

Since i happen to be a VG user i thought of ceramic for an electric insulator and hence a thin disc cut from a VG ceramic filter should prevent conduction and most possibly delay combustion i figure.

How's it going with your friend's Snoop Dogg once modified?

So do these type of devices just instantly output a temperature that would combust?
Is it not like a MFLB where if I hold the battery too long and/or don't inhale properly it would combust.

I've never used any pen style vapes so I'm not really sure how they work. Besides the fact its "conduction"

I enjoy my Herbal G for covert ops. It's discreet and heats up very quick. It's the first pen I've tried that offers "one toke" capability. The Atmos jr requires a sesh to enjoy the bowl. The herb cartridge heats up slowly and people often burn their herbs by heating too quickly. Snoop's Herbal G is quick and powerful. It oftentimes requires a stir to finish the sesh, but I find if you know how to manage the temp and airflow it produces decent vapor for a pen. The key is to heat up the herb slowly, don't hold the button down too long, and don't burn the herb. This pen is much more user friendly than the Atmos. I'm looking forward to getting the new grasshopper! Pens and pocket-size vapes are gonna be wicked 2014 coming soon....

Peytonpenn:

I have some confidence to offer you in pens that is often overlooked especially with herbal pen vapes. Each vaporizer requires a little technique to maximize your vapor experience. At our shop we have the Buddy Vape, it's a metal version of the VaporGenie. I call it the "caveman vape" because you need to apply fire to heat it. But it's also my favorite beginner vape because the process of controlling heat and airflow is very manual, but it's difficult to burn the herb with this one. Once my customers master the Buddy Pipe, they move on to herbal pens for stealth or style, I consider the one touch pens to be intermediate vapes, because you control the temperature and it's important when vaping not to heat the herb too quickly. For all the herbal pens I've tried, they work best when the chamber is primed(hot). So if you are in a situation where you need a discreet vape, remember the one-touch pen requires a slow rise in temp for a true vape sesh. As I said Snoop's Herbal G is my choice for most powerful herbal vape pen, so far....

I can't believe the Snoop G-Pen only has three pages on fuckcombustion. Grenco-Science is the original pen vape. I do like my G-Pens. Where is everybody at?

JoshyBalls,
Come on maaaate - we all know these things combust herbs. Why would anyone bother with these things. They have been proven repeatedly to not work with herb. It's flogging a dead horse IMO. You can pick up any of those pens for just a few bucks from China.

Agree to disagree. Learn to use it and it works great! I only recommend American made vapes, mate. fuck combustion ;) pens rock!

American made?

ooook
Well I prefer Made in USA, like Herbalizer. Herbie is the best! At least the good company's certify their product. It may be made in China, but it was done under American supervision to meet quality standards, like iPhone.

I wanted to suggest this thread be closed....then I thought if it's closed no one will know how crappy this product is....and it's manufacture.

First off, I avoid combustion like the plague, but I love all my vape pens. They all work if you're using it right. Some are more difficult than others and there are many cheap knock-offs out there.
Secondly, the way I see it, I'm from North America supporting American made vapes. I definitely have a Solo and an HerbalAire in my arsenal. But the solo is a home portable unit only. It's like a brick, but made out of glass.
Finally
I understand the frustration some people have with the pens. I agree Vapes require lots of product and market development before there will be a pocket-size vape that satisfies everybody's desires. But you are wrong. Vapes pens do not combust herbs unless it is not operated correctly and cleaned regularly. It takes some people a few days of practice to get the hang of it. Snoop G-Pen is an easy pen to use. Just three second puffs and I get a nice complete, discreet vape sesh.
