Discontinued Pinnacle Pro

The glass piece I received is different from what you guys are getting. It has plastic around it and at the bottom the plastic right above the glass seems to already be slightly cracking. Should I be concerned? :/

Hi Very high
@The Natural That looks awesome just like an adjust a bowl piece shoved into a hollowed out old pong. You got that direct from VB? It looks like an old PC pong with that damage? Is this new piece PES? I guess not as it shouldn't be damaged. hmmmm

Yes exactly, except the diameter of my Adjust-A-Bowl is larger than the PonG interface diameter...

That and the GonG interface on mine is polished.

@The Natural - Please respond if this is a job you did or got from TRVB!!!!
-BB

EDIT- I think what you see are scratches from that clear PonG modification to get the glass insert to fit. This was my orig intent until I got GonGs and took measurements to find the tube has to go...

Oh! Welcome to FC!!!

Edit2- Just re-read your first post @The Natural , you are one lucky bastard! I think you got the PGonG that @TherealVaporblunt or @Engineering showed us long ago. Seeing TRVB posted today, maybe he would like to comment....

Maybe that explains what was meant by both are available. Clear plastic should be fine as there isn't much heat there and looks better with the glass.

Yes, this piece came straight from VB with my Pinnacle Pro. The only problems so far are the aforementioned cracks forming and that it doesn't quite snap on all the way. Besides that I LOVE the thing and am thankful to have stumbled upon so a great resource here to help get the most out of it. You guys are awesome!

If you are having problems with your Pinnacle Pro based on a hairline break in the unit around mouthpiece or battery/heating issues (these are related side effects of the crack). Please email or call Vaporblunt to report your issue. I sent mine back and after many many many many many many emails was informed the unit was cracked and could be caused by a fall or a sticking Pong. Therefore it was Not covered by the warranty.
Total Mind Meltdown Occurs........................
I have finally gotten someone who is saying they are going to check into it and see if there is anything they can do to help me. It would help all who have this problem to unite and voice the common issue calmly and professionally. I love the Pinnacle Pro and want to support the company all I can. I expect the same from them.

I think someone else here sent theirs back to VB and got it repaired, but they were charged $50. I do not know of anyone who has had the PNP repaired/replaced under warranty.

I would prefer to deal directly with Vapefiend in the UK, as I bought from him, and it would be better than shipping the unit to the US.

I do agree with what you are saying though. The problem is known about by VB and Vapefiend, and It would be great if they acknowledged it is a design fault and replaced faulty units under warranty.

BARNBOY 24 HOUR TRVB GonG UPDATE!
Ok folks, I survived the first 24 hours without any mods to the TRVB GonG. You will understand this once you see the photos below after 24 hours of use (approx 5-6 bullets). The thing looks worse than the @emmdeemo GonG with all the particles and reclaim. I also noticed I started to cough on the ride home; I had to do something quick! My first attempt was to try cotton inside the GonG. Miserable failures at every try! I would either over-pack and not breathe, or under-pack and have a wad of un-natural cotton in the back of my mouth. The one time I was able to pull it into sheets, have it stay in place and not restrict too much still was not very enjoyable; little to no vapor and a different flavor (can’t describe, assumed cotton). So I gave up on this approach hitting my SS screen collection with a shear. After a bit of doing, I was able to shape/form one that would stick/stay inside the TRVB GonG. And in time, I know the resin will glue it. I do notice the air flow is noticeably more restricted on the TRVB GonG than the Epic Adjust-A-Bowl. It now gets a bit worse as the bits from the bullet get stuck in the GonG hole and screen…

OK, I do love the o-ring and smaller size (approx 1cm smaller than the Epic) of the TRVB GonG, but I’m still undetermined what GonG will be used for my PonG mod project. Yesterday I was running on the excitement of getting the new tool. But after 24 hours of Camel Bare-Butt bits in my mouth, I’m not so excited. The bits are like that cup of coffee from Starbucks where the barista tilts the pot to fill the last bits of your cup with sediment grinds. Will give the screen mod a go tomorrow and report back. The first session was very nice and butt-bit free… (@GeekVape – I did add a scale just for you; still think 2mm insertion in the front.)

Again the Epic Adjust-A-Bowl has not been cleaned once in over a week!

This next photo maybe explains my strange comment about the PNP AC supply giving me power errors. I really can’t see any pitting, I can feel something like sand grind as I spin the 3.5mm barrel connector. At that same time it grinds, the PNP will go into a power failure light show and shut off. A bit of a bummer if you want to plug in at home, happen to move about and power off the session. My fix for this at home is shown below (yes more BB Ghetto-Toolz!). I don’t have to worry using the Proto1 Car Charger while doing the commute…

Great info and pics, thanks @BarnBoy !:) I can now see that the o-ring looks slightly recessed into the glass which is nice, as it will stay in place. Oh, I see, the restriction is right at the bottom, shame, otherwise you could of simply used one of the spare Epic GonG mesh baskets as a screen! I see you have now given up inhaling/eating herb and fashioned your own mesh screen!

With reference to your charging, if you have sand/grit in the connector, have you tried blowing it out with compressed air? Surely if your car charger works, but your mains charger doesn't, then the problem lies with the lead or 3.5mm barrel connector on the mains charger? The way you have taped the lead, leads me to think you have a bad connection in the lead/connector. The barrel connector's are fairly standard and you could purchase a new one, shorten the lead, and solder the new one on.

So the parcel came. I coudn't help the temptation and opened it. Charged for a bit and loaded the first bullet. First impressions on a dry vape, even on level 1, it hits harder than a Solo. Not as much visible vapor to start with but the heat hits you and its a lot hotter than the Solo. I like the very little resistance to the hits and I found that it hit me quicker than a Solo did and harder.

Put it on charge and hit it with the water tool next and what can I say. Wow! is probably the only word I can use. This is the first time I've used a water pipe. The taste was much better than with the mouth piece and heat is pretty non existent. Much bigger hits. I realised I coughed a lot more with the Water Tool though. Any reason why? Bigger hits? I've never been this high off my Solo which is weird as that is considered one of the best vapes. Maybe convection requires a good technique which I didn't master. Although I used to get big clouds, just never found myself to get this high as I did with the PnP(even though it had less clouds)

Stealth wise, its tiny and very portable but one big concern is the smell. The Solo had no where near as much the smell. I doubt there's anything that can be done to overcome this as it ruins the stealthiness a bit.

Everyone here seems to agree on one thing, the PNP sure hits hard. Nobody seems to understand why it hits much harder than other units, it just does, enjoy it! :science:

I guess you are coughing more with the WT as you are getting much bigger hits, without even realising it, as the vapour is much cooler. Also I think the technique with the WT allows you to draw much deeper into your lungs.

The smell is really only a problem when it is heating up. Some people use it as an indication that the unit is ready to vape. You can get a Ryot smell proof case, as others have pointed out.

Thanks for that but it makes me think if there's any point paying so much for a bag where you end up having to remove the padding? Feel a bit worried leaving the water tool in there without any padding? How does it hold up?

I have one of these! I cut the 2 bits of padding with a craft knife to accommodate both the PNP and WT. I don't have any problems with it, it holds up well.

It's been discussed before, the PnP vape signature includes more conduction from the metal bullet sitting inside the heating chamber which can include a different spectrum of vaped compounds, more CBDs perhaps for a "heavier" effect.

I just got the email saying my glass replacement is on the way! I hope I get this one although I'm expecting the one barn boy got. Either way I'm staying tuned. I don't usually do a lot of diy mods to things but this is a great resource. Thanks guys!

I got tired of sitting around seeing all these fancy doohickeys, so I fitted my PC PonG with a Ceramic tube I cannibalized from an old heat gun-
IMG_20140320_2000089941.jpg

added a little screen; and voila!

I likey, that's thinking out of the box! Ceramic is easier to work with than glass too. What does it vape like, and does it get hot? I wonder about cleaning it?

Very nice! :)

That is not from me. The engineering solution is NOT available yet. I've said this a few different times. When engineering is available, which won't be anytime soon (at least a few weeks) I'll let u know

Haha thanks! It's cleaner tasting than the wood version I made a while back, though that didn't sit like this does- which is just inside the flange on the bullet. I find the draw to be more limited- but I take that as a good thing, because it's pulling straight through the bullet with no leaks whatsoever; as a result, the vapor itself is thicker :D

edit: I'm vaked and forgot to mention that it has insane cooling for some reason, but the bottom section will be super hot to the touch once you finish the bullet/pop the top
also, If you're thinking of trying such an approach, I'd also trim down the plastic around the bottom, only about halfway though, you still want that ~0.51 inch diameter kinda there for insurance sealing the chamber off, just my thoughts on the matter anyway

That is not from me.

That is concerning... :uhoh:

Got a quick question for you Pro users. Its probably been asked before but with 176 pages I figured it would take a week to find out. Anyway is there a good, safe way to clean the screen in the mouthpiece?

BARNBOY 48 HOUR TRVB GonG UPDATE
I am very grateful to @TherealVaporblunt for his GonG! It has some unique benefits, and is a much better option that the MP or PonG. However, after the past 48 hours it will probably sit in my barn as a backup to the Epic Adjust-A-Bowl w/ BarnBoy cork-stopper. In the photo below, you will see that the TRVB GonG to Bullet interface gets very nasty after a session. I needed the BarnBoy Ghetto-Brush to clean it. And once it gets bits in the opening, it restricts the air flow even further. So about the only thing I can do would be to find a way to open the hole in the TRVB GonG (Diamond Drill Bit??). Also the PNP walls needed a bit of care as there is some back vape that get between the glass flat and o-ring. I think this is from the wiggle that happens with natural use. If you use this with your WT, use one hand for the WT and other for PNP, ALWAYS! I got lucky my WT didn’t break late last night. I had to clean the WT after the first 24 hours due to all the loose bits…

OEcIvBh.jpg

So if you look real close inside my PNP you will notice the bullet is dark in the very middle, but pretty green at the edges. Doing a core sample I saw the pattern taper out to full dark. I believe this is getting cooled by the TRVB GonG as the Epic GonG didn’t have that as shown in a previous post. But the restriction and ease of cleaning I think are why I will keep the Epic as my main driver… (stay tuned!)

@Grim Chiclets – That is EXCELLENT work mate! Great to recycle old stuff and suspect you are happier with your PNP experiences. You might want to try an o-ring to really seal the interface to the PNP instead of the PonG PES.

@TherealVaporblunt & @The Natural - thanks for working together on this. I'm sure it is an innocent mistake by someone. Just happy it isn’t a clone!

Has anyone tried the E-juice from VB to mask the smell of herbs???

@ BB,

I think if you were to drop a domed screen on top of the bullet, it would create a gap which would provide the clearance to allow for air to travel above the bullet, and also will help keep the hole in the TRVB glass gong clear of any plant matter.

I think this would help with the evening out the difference in AVB bud at the top of the bullet also.

That makes two of us. That's the box for engineering a solution, but that's not the approved piece. I will look I to this ASAPASAP

This is a nightmare.

Maybe you could explain to me what your CS means by "glass mouthpiece" and "glass PonG" that are beeing shipped to me. I got no answer to this question after several mails and at some point I just gave up.

Dude, I really love your positive attitude, but calling a piece of glass that somebody stuck in a modified old PonG and packaged in a VB carton an innocent mistake...that just doesn't compute.
No offense, I still like the BarnBoy very much and I hope he likes me as well. ;)

Man with the addition of the GONG adapters Im really drawn towards this vape again! I already have a 14mm e-nano gong as well...this is getting pretty tempting!

Every time I get an email back from them they quote my credit card details! Not only have I had to email my credit card details they've replied 3 times including my credit card details.

Is this just me or did anyone else have this experience not very happy about this.
