Planned Glass purchases for the famous 420 sales...

What the hay members, anybody got the typical GAS lust for the month away yearly 420 sales?

I'm getting some harcore GAS itchings to pick up a N8 piece...

Space work just does it for me, and his seems to be top notch

Most of his work I've seen is outside my budget though

Hoping to get a custom nano piece from Apollo gw started around that time .
Maybe my lhs will have they're Earl Jr recyclers on sale

I'll be getting a fat payday in April and will be investing in a nice heady recycler I think

I'm torn between the ion and clear, but I will be getting something!

Either picking up a Mobius Ion Matrix, M&M Tech Sidecar Lattice, or something custom and heavily worked. Assuming I don't walk into an LHS and find something that I just can't live without.

I'm leaning towards a custom heady piece though... probably not at a sale price. Any thoughts?

Damn, that's like a list right from my brain
The ion matrix is awesome, I seriously love the lack of drag and great diffusion matrix percs give.
My Lattice bub has a very similar drag/diffusion profile to a matrix perc too.

As for heady stuff, as I said above, Space work like N8s stuff is my personal favourite kind of work

I think fishbone has a pretty decent waitlist ATM, but I think I'm gonna have to get some more space stuff from him soon...
For less than the price of a moderately worked N8 piece, I can get a fully custom fully worked fishbone space piece.

If you like small volume pieces, go for the ion.
If you like large volume pieces, go for the clear.

If you're unsure, IMO go with the clear

After a recent stint of IG window shopping I learned that EA, JsynLord, Ski Mask, Slum Gold, Geoff Platt, Dave Park, Dublin's Toy Factory and Arsin glass are all based out of the same studio which they call the cool complex. I've decided that I'm going to start focusing my oil rig collection on those artists. I'm going to try to score a good deal on a used piece from someone looking to take advantage of the discounts. If nothing comes up though I'll probably pick up a slum gold piece from ALT.

I'm going for the items that typically don't get reduced. The Mobius ion or clear matrix for me.

Or a Quave or EA recycler. I don't have one from them in my collection yet...

On the EA shop having many known artists. I find that typical here. Several artist share shops and do colabs together around yere.

I have seen Platt's work and it shows EA influence nicely, I have one in my future. Slum Gold does colabs with EA to as several of these artist.

@PhotoRider~ I have been going through your jaw-dropping Galleries and your posts in the Recent Acquisitions thread. You have most excellent taste!

I am curious, all your glass has to start to take up a lot of space. Do you display all your glass, or do you keep them in cabinets? I would imagine you need an art gallery or an aircraft hangar to display all that

Nope, not in the glass industry except as a consumer...
5 bookshelves full, sofa tables and a couple more...

I am going to put a rotating display at a couple local shops just for fun...
