It could depend of the strain of herb, how dry it is depends on how long it will last before it's spent. You could have a lot harder of a draw than another person. There are a lot of variables to consider.

I could use a bullet with the Pinnacle Pro for a least 2 seven min sessions, before the herb was done. While others would go just one 7 min session and everything was spent after that.
I was thinking one user only, to minimize variables. At least ten loads of each strain to spread the data out. If you time how long it lasts, or better yet the number of draws at a fixed temperature, you should at least be able to calculate a rough difference in potency. Not that your head shouldn't be able to give you that info, without plotting data.

All this talk made me decide to make some keef hash today. The screen in my grinder is a little too fine and gets gummed up easily. Still managed to get about 1/3 of a gram out of it. Mostly Snoop's Dream, some Blue Dream. Compressed in my pollen press for an hour or two. Right now I'm vaping a few small chunks of it, mixed with some finely ground Snoop's Dream flower.

In case anyone is curious, this is the grinder/pollen press combo I picked up:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/300370481296

It is a very good deal, just make sure to clean it before using it. I used 99% iso. The instructions recommend vinegar. This is only my second time using the pollen press. The internal pieces are TPU. I have been using a pair of dimes inside of the end caps since I am only pressing a very small amount of material at a time.

Fozzie Bear,
no i didnt charge it before i used it, i didnt think i had to because the device was supposedly already charged? i just tried to soft reset thing, hopefully it'll charge if not will try hard reset, btw what is the device actually meant to look like when charging? because i haven't even charged it before.. currently mine has the green charge light blinking and the blue idle light on

It sounds like it was drained right down to the point it kicks you out. A safety function to prevent the battery from over discharging.
When shipped they come with whats called a storage charge. Generally 60% capacity is recommended for storing these type of batteries for any length of time.
Also note when using a PA, the battery still gets used so it still cuts out when the minimum battery voltage is reached. I would suspect the same if using the charger while heating with the newer units.
Just let it charge and hopefully the green indicator lights will start to come up. If no lights start to come up then you most likely have a battery problem.
Good luck.

Thats what pissed me off about the VB Dabbler. It runs a lithium polymer battery and comes from the factory fully charged.

My Solo just crapped out after around two years of use. Upon cold start, the temperature readout displays 4/7 or higher right away (at this point the heater is actually completely cold). It reaches 7/7 almost right away and then stops heating. It seems the thermistor is off by 4, making the unit unusable due to there not being enough heat for vapor production.

A similar issue happened with my Extreme vape. In that case, the heater stopped working due to continuous beeping noise. It was just out of warranty by like a matter of a few months. I was offered by Arizer to get a "discount" on new unit, which was more than what I paid for it from Got Vape.

We're almost to page 1000. What are the cliffnotes of the different solo versions? Like a changelog from m107 to current versions.

Thank god I own a HI vape, this thing is built like a tank.

I don't know what it is and couldn't find it on eBay currently.

It was advertised as a dabbing stem to be used in a solo. It looked like the chamber end of a solo stem but instead of a glass stem it has a glass "skewer" in it's place. I just remembered I had seen it and meant to ask on here of anybody had info.

Break it up like you normally would first.
I just wrap the concentrate in a small piece of cotton.
Just to keep the bowl clean.

You don't need much!

I got the same ones 2 years ago.
To make POLLEN PELLETS.
It's all scared up however works fine!

I just put thin o ring in. Stems fit more snug. Especially bent ones. There is a little gap where cap didn't fit on as well after.
Is this a problem? Will it let more air in and change flow, create airer hits? Any issues if cap fits tight but not all way down after o ring insertion? May sand down thin o ring further if there is issues?

I put "O" rings under the caps of all my SOLO's!

The fat one is for the old ones.
The thin one is for my next one!

I was doing the manual adjustment of the black factory retaining ring because the threads on the cap barely catch. But once I got the # 113 "O" ring installed, it was fine. Works with all my stems. I find if the stem is taken out before the Solo cools the diameter of the opening will shrink a bit giving you a tigher fit next time you use it.

Is there a little gap with how the Cap fits back after inserting o ring?

This is different from unit to unit as the caps differ in thickness as well. Also it seems newer units need thinner rings.
As for is it a problem.?
IMO, could very well be a source of the outbreak of reports of bottom cracks around the screws. Pushing down on the ring is directing that pressure right at those mounting screws. So any bumping or extra force inserting stems or water tools will be multiplied.
Also, the caps tend to jump threads easily if pushing too tight.
Hope this helps.

If you notice, they block out the critical part (the bowl area of the stem) in the two pics they have of it. Aside from a VERY tapered mouth piece, there is no way to tell how this differs from a stock stem.

My guess is that its bullshit and this is simply a stock stem with the MP end stretched out.

Also lol @ "surgical glass".

Edit: I dont even know what to say at this point...

So it's a crack pipe? He wasn't even using a solo on that vid.

Forget it. I'm all set.

Hi everyone, first post.

I've had my solo for about 6 weeks now. Last night the infamous cracks at the screws appeared. I am anal about taking care of stuff so I was surprised. I even loosened the screws upon arrival. After reading Pipes post about the O-rings I have a theory. I've been using my straight stem which fits much tighter then my bent. Last night I wanted to use the bent with a new strain, so I took the cap off and pushed down the black ring for a tighter fit. My theory is the pressure caused the cracking. I'm wondering if anyone else thinks this may have caused their cracks? Maybe place the solo on a table to counter-act the pressure?

Anyway, I've been lurking for a while learning lots from everyone and want to say thanks for the info. I won't be a stranger.

I asked the seller on ebay for a link showing Solo use. He sent me this:

Im still going to pass.

Okay, he never says that the device he's waiting for is the Solo, he has whatever it is cupped in his hands so you can't see whether it's a Solo, the hits he takes don't look impressive, and you can barely hear over the wind noise. That last bit is not really a problem because he says nothing of real interest anyway.

Nevertheless, I think it will work with the Solo, although how well remains to be demonstrated. Whether it can deliver 1000 hits is not clear to me either. If they are all as wispy as that video, then maybe it can. It looks to me like something that at least some Solo owners might find use for. For $20, my guess is that we'll get some reviews soon enough.
