The Lotus Vaporizer

Slacker Extraordinaire
Was at my weekly poker game and a friend of mine got his Black Leaf lazy sunny afternoon inline. It is beautiful and works great with the Lotus. Expect lots of compliments with a setup like this! Its on my wishlist for sure! http://www.planetvape.ca/black-leaf-inline-diffuser.html

I thought you said you were gonna post about it. It did seem to work pretty good huh? Its quickly becoming one of my favorites to use vaping or combusting. I had my eye on it for a while but finally got it. Its super smooth and mostly spill-proof. Great for on the couch or in bed.

It's too late to edit my post but I have a suggestion for Mendocino therapeutics @Max Jitter you guys and gals could probably make a lot more money if you offered a portable water solution specific for lotus users on your website.

If I could suggest calling these glass blowers to see if they will make something like these but with a 14mm female? Could be worth a shot?

IMO the WPA already solves the need for persons wanting to filter through water; you can go commission any piece you want for the WPA- big or as small as you like.

But for my needs, having to transport a glass water pipe totally defeats the purpose of why I got this. Simplicity, Durability, Transportability, and Ease of use. I am also using mine a lot "off the grid," without power or water, so that biases my position...

That is a nice recycler, but a little to nice for me to be cramming in my backpack and banging around:)

A great idea that we have been looking into. Of course we wouldn't be selling water pipes on our website (PayPal), but we may be selling 'hydrators'. What are your thoughts on the Grav Labs Nano?

I looked it up and it would be a little too big for me. Anything water wise will be a great piece. I just like something small and portable with the lotus. I'm still trying to find a way to make the lotus top more portable I'm just always worried about my keys or something poking the top.

Nice piece and I have some nice glass myself that I utilize on occasion. When it comes to the Lotus, however, I have found that the use of water 'lessens' the deliciousness of the vapor imo. I prefer my Lotus vapor dry and not water conditioned.

As beautiful as those pieces are I would destroy them in a week with those tiny bases and big overhead glass realestate. Tip-over?
See now that is why I wanted something small like I posted. Should keep the flavor while giving a slight improvement of hit quality.

I need to put a little padding in it, but I am using the case from a Futaba remote control receiver and it fits perfectly.

I am constantly shaking material out of the cap; I am curious, how does this happen? By design, isn't airflow supposed to be moving through the cap and into the stem? If I am not blowing into the stem, how come my material is being sucked into the cap?

There's a region under the diffuser (plate with holes) that can trap debris. Probably happens when the cap is put on the bowl.

We are thinking about a 10 mm WPA, if there is interest.

As in a 10mm WPA for male joints (the adaptor would be female)? That sounds amazing!

I'll try to get some pictures up tonight for you guys of my SSFG travel beaker with the Lotus. It is a match made in heaven. Cheap, too.

So the other day I was emptying out a bowl, and my stir stick popped out. The stir stick is one of my favorite things about my Lotus! I can stick it back in, but it's constantly falling out now.

Any tips for getting it to stay? I was a bit nervous about using glue or anything along those lines.

I'd love to see anything that makes the Lotus even more effortlessly versatile with various glass pieces. I currently use it on my 14mm DI recycler via adapter...I don't have any 10mm pieces currently, but frankly, I'd love the option to use the Lotus with every single piece of glass I ever buy, because it's my favorite vape!

Here it is, sorry for the not-so-great iPhone pictures. Stands around 9" tall, shower-head downstem, ice pinches, and blown in the USA by SSFG Glass. I got it for $85 shipped, and it included a slide.

It's a little fogged up at the bottom due to the cold water.

My only criticism is the joint is pretty sloppy, and the 18mm female part for the downstem could easily be an inch or two closer to the beaker base, which would also push the showerhead farther down (resulting in less water used). Overall though, great piece. SSFG really treated me right too.
