Ugh. Well, I just dropped my GonG, freshly loaded with the first bowl of the day. Slow motion exploded all over the filthy concrete floor of my garage. Such a poor start to my day. :bang:

It's lucky that I ordered a new GonG a few days ago. Maybe it was a premonition, who knows. The irony is that it is sitting at my local post office right now, and since today is Sunday, I guess today is the day I will learn to be patient once and for all. No problem, right? :ugh:

Ah whatever, not that big of a deal. Got my stem, got my portables. Main thing is that I just got this new glass a couple days ago, and I was really enjoying getting acquainted with it. It's basically a slightly smaller generic version of Caligula's big honeycomb tube. Milks up like a dream. Oh well, it can wait til tomorrow. I'll try to get some pictures up soon.

I have a feeling I better order at least 2 more GonGs now.. and it's always just when I start to think I am immune to dropping glass, you know? Can anyone comment on using an 18mm GonG vs. a 14mm GonG coupled with a reducer? I would assume it is not much of a difference, but I'm just curious since my new glass is 18mm, and so far I have been using 14mm through a reducer. I think I will probably order 1 of each just to have options.

in such situations I usually take some silicon tubing around the draw end of the stem and create a fitting to 14mm adapter which then fits an 18mm, ghetto setup but works till the next gong arrives (got that from the Solo thread I believe)
with different size tubings even 18mm is possible :2c:
Enjoy the glass :peace:

never tried an 14mm so far, can't coment on them but since the stems are also little thinner I'd daresay more restricton and cloud, tough not to much

I would assume 18mm will allow for larger bowls, and possibly less drag. Given that it is a wider tube.

Also, want you guys to know I have a custom made fluidization/roasting tube for the E-Nano on the way :) Cheers to Alan from HI for designing it for me! It differs from the standard HI roasting tubes insofar as it works for the Nano, and can be used not only for direct draw, but also can be connected to 14mm and 18mm GonGs!

Will report back with a video of this in action once I get it, for $25 odd, this is a steal though!

Im SO down for a roasting tube. Please keep us posted!

Also @Lahey, the bowl part of the gong is the same diameter no matter if its a 14mm or 18mm version.

Length varies from gong to gong regardless of joint size as well.

I use 18mm gongs because all my glass is 18mm. If I had a 14mm piece id use 14mm gongs as well.

Sorry to hear that, but I did chuckle at 'filthy'. I think a spare is a good idea. With computer data, car wheel and vapes, I always try to have a backup. At least one off-site (at a buddies house). So if my place exploded, I could still keep vaping.

Fortnight? Is that even a legitimate measurement of time? I wasnt aware people outside of Colonial era reenactments and the Amish still used that term.

Maybe in America, but I still hear it from British folks.

I've been rocking the nano with a pnwt and after putting a bit of silicon on the gong so I can grab to clear and I'm really enjoying the experience. Just hope no one accidentally blows/coughs into the tube!

Would be nice to have a bigger chamber to milk but hey ho isn't GAS great

So sorry for b2b posts but the edit time has expired.

Last night I grabbed myself some organic cotton and decided to give some Moroccan hash a go. Worked like a dream and tasted amazing even at 10. The only thin was the cotton wen a bit brown?
I tried a stem of just cotton and although it didn't taste of anything it did change colour (became light brown at the end closest to the heater). Am I vaping too high? I could roll the temp back but it seemed the right level for the hash.

Let me know your guys experience and advice please!

Either way I was so high I turned my pnwt upside down to look into the bottom and spilt bong water all over my laptop. Lol.

Keep vaping

I guess I should travel by steamer and auto-gyro more often. Ill become more worldly in these matters...
Interesting. I still use 'fortnight' quite often. Must be a Colonial thang :)

@davesmith - sorry about your spillage but that was so funny. I had a similar incident recently. Completely medicated. Broken glass. Doh.

I have decided the E-Nano is going to be my next desktop and first log. I wonder how long before those maple Burls or other exotics come back in stock? Hmm ... I might have a better chance going for the maple in regards to not ending up divorced :) God damn this vas and gas.

Introducing the E-Nano from Epicvape.

My goal in designing the E-Nano was to blend the efficiency, beauty and ease of use of a log style vape with the power and benefits of 120v ac. Here are some of the key features and benefits that have been achieved with this hybrid.

  • Fast 2 minute heat up time = No more waiting.
  • Rotary variable power/on off switch = You chose the temperature from 0-460F.
  • 11 watts of full ac power = Plenty of power for concentrates.
  • 7' power cord plugs directly into a 120v outlet = No bulky external power supply.
  • Body hand crafted in the USA from a solid piece of sustainable American hardwood = No laminates, no glues.
  • Custom designed all ceramic heating element = 100% Rohs compliant.
  • Pure EZ draw air-path = Pure taste, big hits.
  • Isolated heater core = No wood charring or taste even at max power.
  • Natural shellac finish = No Voc’s No Lacquers, No paints.
  • 48 hour factory burn in = Ready to plug and play when you un-box it.
  • 3 year warranty = We stand behind our products.
  • Stainless steel heater core accepts standard 3/8" ID wands.
  • Gong adapters available.
  • Soft Neon blue power indicator light varies in intensity with power input.
  • American designed and built

My new e-nano shipped out today. Why do I feel amongst the luckiest vapers in the world?

I use regular cotton.... sterile 100% cotton balls.
They do not discolor, because they are processed. Proceesed means free of anything but refined cotton.
Every time I have used organic cotton, I too get it to discolor.
That is because it is unprocessed.. not refined.. some organic componants that can still vaporize are present.
Two schools of thought.
Some like to use organic, because it makes them feel that they support a pure and organic/holistic lifestyle.
Some like regular sterile cotton. They feel it cleaner, refined and pure.. like a screen or glass.

The only discoloration I get on my McFinns Organic cotton is where the oil soaked into the fibers as it melted. Are you saying you dont get this? Or are you talking about discoloration if you were to put a dry piece in a vape? Ive also tried that with no discoloration.

I only use McFinns cotton from W9Tech.com %100 Organic.

I wouldn't trust any old bargain brand cotton ball..
