Why wouldn't you buy another Solo? The Pnp is a good unit, it is having some problems with the mouthpiece getting too hot and causing damage. The Pnp gets you medicated, the flavor is harsh above 2 unless you McGyvor your mouthpiece. Some folks may not have as sensitive of a throat as myself. I use it with the water tool most of the time.

It's a good unit if you don't get a faulty one. I have 3 Pnp and look forward to the new mouthpiece that VB will be sending out in the future. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes regarding a vape and the flavor of vapor and how well it medicates and the Pnp does that.

The Solo was £149 and PNP £159 and the only issue with the Solo was stealth, so I thought why pay similar price for a two year old product when I can get a new PnP with its stealthy look and optional WT attachment which I went with.

I think Solo will still have a better taste than PnP but thats expected with glass vs plastic(soon to be changed). On a positive note, however worse off the plastic flavour is compared to Solo's, it'll still be 100 times better tasting than combustion I think, so its just a matter of getting used to it.

What I am worried about is durability and all these issues people are reporting. If the glass replacements are sent out sooner rather than later, I can hopefully put my worries to rest about having spent £190 on the wrong vape. Lets hope I'm proven wrong.

To add salt to injury, I just saw one of the cleaners in the building and asked him if he had seen my Solo(showed him a picture). He said he picked it up, had no clue what it was so chucked it in the bin. OUCH!!!

Soo I bought my PP Saturday, lightly used it that night and once last night..go to turn it on and I get the dreaded rainbow lights. Seriously bummed it didnt even make it a week.
Welcome to FC djlasagna! can you cook me up some musical noodles
Don't fret contact vapor blunt and get a new one.

The mail said glass MP and GonG, so I hope they don't send anything plastic.
I'm totally with you there, I think the mouthpiece one is the glass-lined pong thingy... maybe?
I think the engineered new design is a pgong. Plastic outside with glass air path. Witch is plenty suitable for me. Its not manufactured yet so if you send in your melty pong right now, you will get the macgiver rubber seal and glass tube.

Gee-Grover, You can always get an Ed's wooden stem mouthpiece to use with the Solo. The newer model Solo has better air flow.
I like the Pnp but until this mouthpiece issue gets resolved and the splitting of the material around the sleeve area gets dealt with, you use your own judgement, because they are good little units, but could be better.

I think ex combusters would really like this unit because it's a bit harsh, and that is what combusters
are used to.

I have 2 of my 3 units that have hairline slits in the sleeve area, they both work fine. But when you pay $239. for something as important as a vaporizer you don't want to deal with defects. The slit gets larger when the unit is hot. My WT is a bit wobbly, but it works for me OK I have e-mailed about this issue 3 times and gave up, that was a couple of months ago.

I found out here on FC from the Engineer at VB that the splitting of the material that the sleeve is made from( area by the mouthpiece) was a problem with some of the units. I have noticed a few other FCers with the same issue. I don't want to deal with returns. The units seem to work fine with the defect, but folks need to know that's an issue too.

I haven't heard about the fix for the splitting of the sleeve area where the mouthpiece attaches, hopefully that's not continuing to happen, evidently that was from high heat. Maybe that issue has been resolved? VB back in October was really great in the customer service department, but has slipped the past few months.

Hopefully things will get better, maybe they have already, I don't know.

Welcome to FC geckoxiong! I managed to grab one off mass drop. The yoyokid seems to be legit. I know there are a lot of pages here but many of them answer the question better than I can.

On another note if you buy the pinnacle now, you probably will get the melty pong.

My Pinnacle Pro DLX just arrived! After browsing this forum I was a little concerned about the melting issues so I requested a gong with my order. I'm happy to report that it was in fact included with the package. :) This thing looks so sleek, I can't wait for it to finish charging so I can give my first vaporizer a try.

I got my pinnacle pro about a week ago. It sure hits hard. I haven't had any issues with the mouth piece yet. Is it worth spending effort on getting the glass one?

First day I used my PnP the mouthpiece melted...

Now the small part of the mouthpiece that connected to the bigger PonG is cracked and has melted into the PonG so I no longer use it. Kind of gave me a bad impression for the first day or two and made me regret my purchase.

I only use it for herb for now as it appears it can't really handle concentrates well....

This thing is by far my favorite. Just waiting on my LHS to get some of the glass MP's in as I am unable to send in my melted one... (Kind of stinks to have only been able to use the MP for a day).

Overall I believe this is the best portable on the market once the new glass MP's are out.

Hi Very high
@SirDarkened what temp did you use it dude?

This thing kicks like a dinosaur, you guys must have some real iron lungs temp 2 tickles my throat and makes me cough a little even with the WT :smug: I wonder if the next revision of this vape will be a metallic shell like the Pax but with glass mp/Gongs. Although I guess the whole unit would, then be too hot then to hold.

The smell of the Pinnacle IMO is more than a Solo but less than an MFLB. I am very glad I bought the Ryot case at the same time, the natives in these parts regrettably don't get lifted and or High:doh:

I have emailed away for glass replacements looking forward to them

I was told both the TRVB GONG and ENGINEER PGONG are available.

Who told you that? I am currently emailing back and forth with thevaporblunt@gmail.com, since I just sent in an old PonG for replacement. There is some uncertainty on their end.

Me:
Also, if both glass mouthpiece options are available now (I'm referring to the straight glass tube with o-ring, and the regular PonG with a glass sleeve inserted through the middle) will you please send me one of each? I will happily give you my payment info for one of them and any additional shipping cost, just let me know. Thank you!

thevaporblunt@gmail.com
We currently do not have the glass replacements for sale but I can find out which mouthpiece may be available.

So I just said to send me whatever they have available. I don't know how the person handling my emails could not know what they have available, when I assume they have already been handling these replacements for a little while now and should have already sent some out. Furthermore, there are only two glass replacements in question; the Engineer PGonG is either available now or it isn't.

Anyhow, I will report back when I find out more.

Please do. I'm going through the same process with even less information. All I was given was an address to ship my mouthpiece to and no real choice of what I would receive back.

Man this whole mix up of information and lack of information about when the mouthpieces will be shipped out to US customers, let alone us in the UK. Its all making me want to return my PnP when it arrives tomorrow for a refund and go back to rethinking the original dilemma between Solo, Ascent and PnP.

Yes, the manufacturer needs time to get it right and get it out to all of us correctly but I don't understand why glass wasn't used in the first place? Maybe cost saving? The whole reason I ordered the PnP so quickly without doing too much research is because I've been without a vape for a week now and went with the most convenient option. By the looks of it though, I think after receiving my parcel, I'll be without a vape again after a week and that's the last thing I want after having lost a Solo and spent another £200 on a new device.

So I'd like some advice guys. Do you think I should return it and consider between Solo and Ascent? Or is there a semi-permanent solution to this mouthpiece issue? Some sort of mouthpiece or GonG replacement I can purchase? I saw something called Adjust-a-bowl earlier on this thread but not sure how that would work out as I'm inexperienced with these things. Would I be able to just use it as a stock piece without too much effort?

I really want to like this vape as its stealthy and seems efficient from what I've heard. I don't mind paying a little bit for something that will solve the issue as I've paid £190 anyway, £10 - £15 more won't hurt. But if despite the spending, the solution isn't very effective or requires too much effort then it just defeats the purpose of me hurrying to buy a vape to replace my lost one.

What do you guys think? As much as my disappointment is making me think about returning it tomorrow, I'm secretly hoping you guys would point me to a solution which means I could open the parcel tomorrow and vape away!

I've had mine for just under a week and honestly it's great. It COULD be a bit better in a few areas but overall I'm impressed.

I've used mine with dry herbs on settings 1,2, and 3 and have been using the pong (right in my mouth) instead of the MP. Also haven't used it upside down or with a bong or anything so the hot bullet isn't coming in contact with the pong.. I see no signs of melting or plastic degradation but obviously it's still early.

Battery is pretty lack luster so if you think you are going to be bouncing all over town vaping a ton you may find yourself looking for a power outlet.. Still not a deal breaker but could be better

Edit: As long as the pong/MP exchange goes down easily I'll be very pleased overall

Just a note, I have experienced zero issues with my mouthpieces and I've had my PnP since around October. I love it.

Gee- Grover, Your unit is coming tomorrow, if you open it you can't get your money back. You might as well give it a go, this may turn out to be your fav portable vape. You've already experienced the Solo and decided you wanted the Pnp.

Just be careful with the hot bullet next to the mouthpiece. I never use it without a bit of cotton on top of the bullet. I think that helps insulate against the pong or mouthpiece. It helps cut down on the hot oils sizzling against material it's made of. Then you can vape the cotton after about 10 uses when it's all stiff with oil.

I highly recommend the Water Tool that's mated to the unit, it really mellows out the harsh vapor.
I have the Ascent and have been using it more than my Pnp. There is a learning curve. Check out the Ascent pages. Very goooood flavor with the Ascent.

Tough decision, do you have any back up vapes? If you have enough funds get one of each the Pnp and the Ascent. It's always good to have backup vaporizers so you don't go back to combustion. Good luck

Yeh I can't return it if I open it thats why the sudden panic to decide whether I want to keep this or not. The only reason I gave this a go over getting another Solo is the stealth aspect and to try the WT experience. I won't be using it with oils, just herbs. Does that help in any way? Lower temperature? I won't be going above 3 I think, even with the WT or do you need to go higher with the WT?

Good evening all -

This is my first post on the forums. I've been a combustion smoker for the past 12 years (since 16). My first vape experience was 7 years ago in Amsterdam on a Volcano at a coffee shop. I haven't vaped again until a month ago when a buddy of mine offered me a session on his DaVinci. Ever since then I've been doing my research.....

I'm up to page 100 on this thread and my PnP will be delivered tomorrow. Like many other members, I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. My unboxing and initial thoughts to follow. (As long as I don't get too medicated and forget lol)
