^ what problem of yours does this solve?
The problem with the pong most of us are having is near the bullet

This does provide a longer path to cool down the vapor for dry hits.

It also allows use with a mini oil rig since oil rigs have male adapters.

But, as for the creeping plastic, lookhigh is right, this doesn't provide much of a solution.

Following on in the tradition of personal mods in this forum, here is my take on the PNP GonG, while we are waiting for VaporBlunt to release the new glass MP's/GonG's.
I ordered the ADJUST-A-BOWL E-NANO GONG
I had a problem finding a cone washer like @BarnBoy . I tried a few DIY stores with no luck, so I went to a local trade plumbing wholesaler and he came up with the cone washer you see below. It is in fact a rubber seal for HEP2O fittings. The o-ring was from a pack of assorted small o-rings.
I modified my original PonG by hacksawing off the tapered end, and then using a half-round needle file, filed out the centre until the inner part of the PonG was removed. It takes a little longer to do it this way, but you don't need a dremel, and you are less likely to damage the retaining lugs inside (as others have done accidentally).
I have since moved the adjustable mesh screen in the GonG right down to the bottom, so it is touching the top of the bullet. No more bullet rattle! I have always topped my bullets with a small cotton ball to reduce the chance of the contents sticking to the GonG/PonG/MP screen.
Observations....as @BarnBoy pointed out, the draw is a little harder. I think it seals better than the original PonG, and/or the original PonG leaks a little. The vapour is much smoother and cooler. The glass doesn't heat up as much as the PES which is good, and the modified PonG seems cooler than before.
I am really happy with this setup at the moment. It's pretty stable, but not sure if I would use it with the WT if I was passing it around.

@mack7one I had the same problem with the MP tip. I got replacement ones, in a pack of 4. They seem noticeably different from the original tips. For a start they are white/opaque, and they are made of a different material. They feel slightly waxy, I'm not sure what material they are made out of, maybe they are designed for higher temperatures.
@Sativape I instantly converted a combusting friend when I took my PNP around to his. At first he said he wasn't getting a hit, but it crept up on him (plus he wasn't getting the baccy hit). One bullet is enough for him for the night, and he normally calls me a lightweight!

Damn GeekVape!

Nice work there!

I think keeping the Pong shell definitely adds to the needed stability.

Also keeps it looking true to the original design.

Hello everyone. Been reading this entire thread and I must say you guys and gals are very knowledgeable!! Just registered today. I've had my PNP about a month now and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! Before that, I was a moderate combuster for over 1/2 my life. I would smoke a bowl in the a.m. before work, a few puffs off the one hitter at lunch, then a bowl or two at night. Weekends of course more more more!!! Now that I have my PNP I find I get crushed by one bullet. I smoke when I first get up (5:30) so when I leave for wrk around 7:30 I'm leveled out. It is such a great tool. I would love for the warm up time to be shorter and the time it stays on to be longer, but oh well, not a deal breaker. I got the device and most of my access. from theyoyokid1...best prices and fast, free shipping. I can't believe how fast it shipped to MA. I do have my medical marijuana license, as I live in MA. We are currently waiting on the dispensaries to open this summer!! My company just got bought out and when I failed the drug test I was sure I would lose my sales job of 9 years. The fact that I came forward to the new HR lady and told her I had my license and had all sorts of documentation....my job was SAVED!!! Talk about heart in your throat moment!! I had a lawyer and would have sued for wrongful termination, as I have a perfect work record, but it could have gone either way. I currently have a caregiver that grows his own crops of many different strains. All of them are very powerful and help my pain and anxiety. He told me he can get me good deals on equipment and some cuttings so I can start to grow my own stuff too. That would be amazing!!! He is very knowledgeable on growing,, THC, CBD, etc. For my bullets, I only use herb, no oils. I pack it and then tap it with my fingers and then add more so it's level with the top of the bullet. I am going to try sandwiching some of my lovely kief in between like I read here. I only use setting 1, so I haven't experienced any of the melting issues (yet) that others have written about here. I get good vapor on that setting and have no issues to report. I do anxiously await the glass Pong and will probably get a few when they come out to the public I did find my mp would get quite sticky after a few uses, so now I've done what others suggest and add a 3/8 screen on top of the bullet. I go through one a day typically. This keeps the screen in the pong from getting too corroded. I clean after each use, using the brushes that came with the device to keep the screen clean. I also like the Vapir No2 brushes, as they are a little softer for cleaning the inside, which only has a few particles in it on occasion. I have used alcohol wipes on the mouthpiece and then rinse with hot water. No issues as of yet. I tried to smoke a bowl for the hell of it the other day, and it tasted really funny. Not at all like my wonderful stuff, more like a dirt taste. Has anyone else had this experience since they started vaping? If so, why does that happen? Am I spoiled now and can't smoke a bowl or joint ever again?

Hello there, welcome. I'm also a new member but I suggest trying level 2 on your PnP! It's definitely worth giving it a shot, you could get at least an extra high out of each bullet depending on your usage and tolerance.

Does anyone have the phone number that may get me to a real person. My Pinnacle Pro has been in limbo for over a month as I sent it back for a new battery. I haven't been able to get any responses from the emails (I have used all 3 emails that I have). My solo has been acting up and so Panic has started to set in. Thanks

Thanks! My work is inspired by the other great members here!

Yes, the Pong shell is needed for stability, and looks closer to original too. The glass stem has a lip on it as you can see in the photo. It sits smugly in the PNP collar, but if rocked will fall out. The cone washer and o-ring bind it to the Pong shell, and once it's assembled, it doesn't come out easily.

I cannot believe how much of a difference an all glass vapour path makes. It's much more enjoyable, cooler, less harsh, and better tasting. The seal to the bullet seems better, and I think the unit works more efficiently. I can now vape at higher temperatures too, but never normally go above 3.

I've been using this setup for 4 days now, and have not noticed any resin build up inside the PonG shell or PNP collar.

I don't know about others, but I am getting 3 sessions from a packed bullet. I use the kief burger recipe posted here, but substitute kief for crumbled hash. I noticed some others only get one session from a bullet. What gives? I carry on vaping until there is only a little vapour when I exhale.

I believe you get most of the good stuff in the first few hits, but I still get decent clouds for 3 sessions. I start off on 2, and when the clouds diminish I knock it up to 3, and then I get big clouds again until it is spent.

I'm very interested in this new grasshopper dry herb vape, have you guys seen it?

@bellas Have you got a tracking No. worth checking if it was delivered.
@Krizzle Nice 6 shooter
You have to send your unit back with signed and tracking. Vaporblunt signed for my Pinnacle Pro on Feb. 8 2014. After two weeks someone responded to my emails simply stating it can take 2 weeks up til a month. Then nothing else. When I emailed to send my Pong back I got emailed right away. But whoever responded ignored my question about my PPro.
Since then nothing. I understand the company is busy with the pong/Gong issues but ........
OI.
I had a lot more patience while my solo was working properly. I had to combust the other day and it SUCKED to say the least.

So I am going to send my pong in today. What kind of experience are people having with the gongs they are sending back right now? I think I remember someone saying it didn't fit tightly enough for them. Curious if I am going to be good with that or if I may have to start thinking about an adjust-a-bowl like @GeekVape went with.

Not many people have gotten them yet and they are only a quick fix IMO.

I also ordered from Theyoyokid1 and had a great experience. I was thinking about buying the 6 pack of bullets with holder but honestly today my PnP died before I even finished my 2nd bullet. I usually do most of the 8 minute session on a single heat setting.. I'll start in the morning on level 1, then level 2 and sometimes 3 in a single session mid morning, later ill start a new bullet mid day, sometimes jumping up to level 2 within the 8 minute session. Am I being inefficient with my battery by jumping up a heat level mid session? Any opinions would be appreciated!

Hi Very high
@Dudefromma I use my unit similar to you, its always topped up on the charging stand unless im out and about. I start at 1 then bump to 2 after a few mins, wait for the session to finish then restart it all again on 2 or 3 using the WT. I have been getting about one session per battery light so just under 50mins which is fine for its size. How long have you had your unit? Sounds like the battery isnt good to me :(

I literally haven't even had it a week yet... I admit all the times that I used it today were outside in my car that was probably 35 to 40 degrees at best.

I noticed I left my PNP in its stand in my cold car, and when I went to start it up it gave me a red light heater error. First time I had that happen, so I figured out it doesn't like the cold. I put it in front of my heating vents for a couple mins and then it started fine. On a separate note, I am getting low on the screens I put on top of the bullets. I currently use 1/2" stainless steel ones and it covers the entire bullet and chamber area, keeping the screen on the chamber cap cleaner. My question is, which is better...brass or stainless steel? I see them both on line so I'm not sure if I want to go with brass. Is one easier to clean than the other? I use one per day so I'm going to get a few containers of whichever one I get. I find they work wonders on not getting my PNP all sticky. Hard to drive, vape, and unstickify (new word?) all at the same time!!!

Well I'm not exactly an expert yet but I think you'd be better off with the stainless steel screens over brass.. I know brass tastes pretty nasty when smoking so I think it would probably be the same for vaping

Krizzle

Hi Very high
@MsTHCvampire go with stainless steel! All my life ive been told to avoid brass. Stainless is the way too go!

@Dudefromma have you tried warming the unit up a bit in your hands first? I did notice myself today, using my unit outdoors it was not getting as hot as using it indoors on the same setting, I could even bump it up to level 3 dry which is a first. Guessing it was cooling down my PnP as it was a only about 10c windy beach but sunny :D

Geekvape, love the Adjust A Bowl Nano. If the Pnp mouthpiece doesn't work out from VB I might try a couple of those. Thanks for sharing that with all of us. You guys keep coming up with such good ideas.

Where else can you get this kind of info.

Hi everyone

Been reading this thread for a while now as I needed help with deciding which vape to buy after losing my Solo just after having it for two months. So it was between the Ascent or the Pinnacle and after reading so many positive reviews about the Pinnacle and the Ascent being a herb hogger, I decided to order the Pinnacle Pro with the Water Tool from VapeFiend yesterday.

I was very excited and eagerly waiting to receive my new vape but after seeing all these issues with the plastic mouthpiece, its making me have second thoughts. I've emailed the manufacturer about the replacement scheme that was offered here but don't know how long it'll be before I receive it as I am in the UK.

Do you guys think I should return my parcel as soon as it comes tomorrow and wait a while before they start bundling the GonG with all new units? Has the Adjust-a-bowl solution worked well enough to be a daily driver yet?

I don't mind spending a little and just buying that as long as it works well. Not very excited anymore after hearing some people's units are having issues only days after purchase.

Sorry for the long post guys but I'm a complete newbie when it comes to vaping. Solo was my first vape and that too was only for a month and a bit before I lost it.

Why wouldn't you buy another Solo? The Pnp is a good unit, it is having some problems with the mouthpiece getting too hot and causing damage. The Pnp gets you medicated, the flavor is harsh above 2 unless you McGyvor your mouthpiece. Some folks may not have as sensitive of a throat as myself. I use it with the water tool most of the time.

It's a good unit if you don't get a faulty one. I have 3 Pnp and look forward to the new mouthpiece that VB will be sending out in the future. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes regarding a vape and the flavor of vapor and how well it medicates and the Pnp does that.

Maybe you will get a regular pong so you can use it with a Water Tool. A glass modified pong to use while using the Pnp dry maybe that is called a mouthpiece. I don't know for sure? I'm just guessing.

I guess we will find out.
Could someone ask if you talk to VB today about the 2 pieces that they are sending?
