I know it's tough, but can you recomend two "best" vaporizers?

Hello good people.

I started vaporizing a couple years ago with The Buddha from 7th Floor. Did thorough research on it, and what I liked most was that it was basically all glass, and a ceramic heater.

Picked up a MFLB for portable needs a short while after. Been happy with both, they're still working well. Over the past year about though, I've been seeing more and more oil pens around. I know it's hard to pick a best one with all these pens and new brands of dry herb vapes. It's very daunting. But none the less I would like to buy two new vaporizers. (Home vape and a portable)

As for the Buddha, I have it rigged to a bong, use dry finely ground herbs, inhale slowly, mix frequently and vape at a low level, and you get thick, delicious clouds. Great hits and saves a lot of bud.


But, I've been getting a little lazy, and the prospect of a big bag auto filling with vape is becoming more attractive. But I'm wondering if bags taste as good as the Buddha. And if their air to vape ratio is noticeably different. From what I've gathered, ceramic is the healthiest type of heating element.

Willing to spend a decent chunk of change.

Based on hit flavor, density and health factors, what would be the best bag vape and best portable dry herb vape to get?

I'm a bit biased because I own one,but the volcano is really sturdy and well built.
And it's on mass drop right now for a good price.It's a stainless steel heating element

Other than that there is the herbalizer which does whips,and bags.it uses a halogen lightbulb to vape.but it's more expensive.

And the arizer does a bag but it's the least recommended out of bag users because it fills slow and has a small mouthpiece

I love my Arizer combo, EQ & Solo.... Love the adjustable temps and water tool compatibility.

(Dreaming of a Herbalizer for instant temp realization, but I can wait a minute for $600.... )

As far as I know, the Volcano is number 1, but lil' Herbie might trump it once I try one. I personally would take the plunge on it if I could..
As for portables my current favorite is the Pinnacle Pro, but they're fiddly. I'd say for portable use I'd get the Firefly (haven't tried yet) or Cera (steep as hell learning curve), only because the Solo is a bit bulky, seems more like a good 'at-home portable' design.

I do love me a VaporGenie though.

Gotta go with my beloved Firefly for a flower portable! No torch, no glass to carry around, and no waiting... unless your battery runs out. :ko:

So you better buy an extra battery.

Since you have a bong, I'd recommend a lotus. It's the best direct-to-bong vape I've used. If you get a stem/j-hook it becomes more portable, although I'm not personally a fan of hitting the lotus dry.

But if you want a bag vape, I'd just get a used volcano. Compared to the DBV, the volcano extracts more evenly, however it's difficult to get dense vapor unless you crank the temp and use a lot of bud. A load that's fully extracted in the DBV in 4 hits could take 10 or more hits in the volcano.

Does anyone know why I shouldn't suggest a Hammer, and an air pump then you can make bags with that.

But even without that crazy mod you'll probably be screwing bags, as why wait for vapor when you demand it. I don't think you can call dealing with a bag less of a hassle than direct draw.
You would be much lazier if you just loaded the stem and started inhaling from it.

But I vote the Hammer for portability, its phenomenal and probably the one of the most versatile vaporizers I've seen.

I also support the Herbalizer. But I don't think you'll notice bags to be as great as a glass stem.

I doubt you'll use any from your old vapes when you make your new purchases so just get a Herbalizer (best plug-in in the world maybe) and for a portable depending on where and how you are gonna use it either a Firefly, a Lotus or a Grasshopper when it gets out next month!

Zen hopper already in you portable triumvirate @natural farmer? In response to OP if money is no option the word on street is Herbie can't be beat. Portable can't go wrong with Solo, Lotus, or the FF is catching on quick too. I have an LSV and a Lotus and let's just say my VAS has been cured but my GAS is so bad I thought of cutting up my credit cards. Lol, but I know if I did that I would miss out on that next unbeatable deal, that happens here seemingly everyday! It's a vicious cycle...

Of course it is! :brow: It's the ultimate stealth and it's how I like it! Convection-y!!! :p

Today was also a big revelation for me and my Firefly! I started using a silicone tube piece and a screen as a bowl and the Firefly as a log and now it's all coming together! Lotus for the no-outlet situations through the pipe stem for on the go and paired with glass/sherlocks at home, Firefly for when near electricity with the standard vapor pathway top on the go and through the SonG stem and a glass piece/sherlock/Lotus pipe at home! Grasshopper will close the circle very nicely but it is no longer a must. Nor is a desktop with portables that perform like the aforementioned… ;)

I'd recommend the affordable Herbie- the herbalAire. The Herbalizer, IMO, is way too much money (unless you're loaded) for someone who's just wondering about filling bags. Bagged vapor is as easy as it gets, since it's automatic. I wouldn't consider the Volcano, due to price, and the fact that it does bags only.

Air to vapor ratio is higher with bags, since you get a steady stream of air, and just to be clear, a high air to vapor ratio means thinner, more diluted vapor. Your DBV has a pretty low air to vapor ratio, meaning vapor rich hits.

Pen style vapes can be iffy, especially the ones that are just converted from e-cigs.

Why is everyone concerned about the price of the volcano?
It's on sale on Mass drop for the next 9-10 days

The herbalizer looks great,but I still find it inconvenient that you need to replace the halogen lightbulb occasionally

Since nobody else brought it up, I've read good things about the zephyr ion.
I haven't used it myself, but if bags are desired it should probably be considered as well.

Herbalaire for $140 shipped is a better value, as it can do bags, whip, direct, straight to glass, all while being durable and precise.

if you want a cheap bag-filler with convection heating, the herbalaire or extreme Q is your best bet. i'd personally go with Extreme Q.
