I didn't understand from the update whether all HTs broke or only some.
As an Early Bird, do I still have the option to take one of the HTs that didn't break or I must wait now a few weeks if I don't intend to add more money?
Anyway I don't know what "we will be working over the weekend" means if the most basic task of responding to my ticket hasn't been done.

A I understood what SM was saying, it would've been a free upgrade to the swagger recycler, or puck?
I could be wrong about that though, might've been a paid upgrade.
Either way, as I understand it, they are offering for some of us to upgrade to one of those tubes (which they have in stock) so that they can still ship out all the orders without having to wait for replacement EB tubes

In my understanding, they dare to ask us, the intl contributors who have been waiting for 8 months, for additional 95$ (or wait a few more weeks).

That doesn't make it clear at all if you have to pay the $95 or if that's just the value of the tubes and its a free upgrade.

Last week I purchased a mobius 60b stereo matrix bubbler from aqualabs paid $68.00 postage and it took 4 days to arrive,so why when you buy anything from vapexhale you end up getting hammered for extra postage this end and have to wait over 2 weeks for delivery,like someone else said sending out the newsletter to us really does take the piss.still not even had a email to confirm my shipping address,oh we'll at least the solo and plenty work well with the mobius.
ps thanks to phil at vapexhale for replying to my email last week so the waiting goes on and on and on

The $50 we have to pay is less than te shipping you paid to alt, and I'm guessing the package is gonna be the same size or a bit bigger than your 60b...

Did you get an automated mail confirming your support mail came in and a case was opened?
If not it' s best to resend the mail to make sure it comes up in the support system from what I read

I was yet to be disappointed from the automated reply - it ALWAYS works :-)
It seems obvious to me that as Vapexhale have broken some of the Earlybird Hydratubes they are offering everyone a free upgrade to the more expensive tube rather than make us wait for replacements so they can get the international orders out. I'm sure that there are still some HydroTubes left if some people don't want to upgrade as I imagine most of us would choose to go for the pricier tube.
I may be wrong but given Vapexhale's excellent customer service (international delays withstanding) I can't imagine that they would ask us all for another $95 before they send the orders out.
Whilst frustrated that the Evos still haven't been dispatched I am very impressed with stonemonkeys prompt explanation and apology- 99% of companies would have left us in the dark given that it's the weekend. I'm sure that we'll get a tracking email come Monday and I personally don't mind an extra couple of days delay as long as I'm kept updated as to what is going on.
(On a side note I know I'd be devastated if I smashed my HydraTube so can you imagine dropping 14 of them!?! I'd probably have to go and become a hermit in the desert or something:-P)

There is no fee to upgrade, we just need 14 of the Early Bird contributors to volunteer to switch HydraTubes so that we can ship out the remaining balance of orders. I'll be syncing up with the team shortly to see how many have answered and how many are still up in the air.

SM55 - Does the Early Bird HT come with a HydraFoot? I see the SwaggerCycle and SwaggerPuck don't come with a foot when purchased normally. Also, how would the breakage affect the ones that chose bent/straight tube?

They don't? Seems a bit weird given that they're the most expensive two.
I can sorta understand with the 'cycler as its weight is really off-centre and even with a special wide-based foot it would stress the male joint in the foot. It'd be nice if they revised the design to place the whirlpool chamber directly over the barrel in a concentric fashion, and route the plumbing with a couple extra kinks. Would solve the balance issue, and also make it easier to store/transport. The kink that'd need to be added below the whirlpool drain would even serve as a flow restriction to help control the level in there, though I imagine some degree of diameter choking would still be required.
I doubt it'd change the manufacturing cost much, either?
