When it comes to frits I would rather go with a US based company because I don't mind paying a premium for QUALITY CONTROL considering the potential danger of a poorly made frit. I never said Chinese frits were made poorly...hell I said that I was probably being paranoid but that is my stance regarding that specific type of perc.

I have purchased a lot of stuff from china as well as glass, a fake pax and a couple of atmos raws. I purchase clothes, golf equipment, watches, etc.

When you get a good deal it is amazing. Great quality at extremely low prices. I have been fucked over a few times but I would say 90% of my transactions have been satisfactory.

Regarding glass, it is a great deal for me to pay $30 or less for a functioning piece. It is only a matter of time before I smash my glass an I can deal with breaking the cheap stuff. Breaking a $500 or above piece would be very disturbing.

I definitely agree with you as far as the price tag not being the defining factor with glass. I would put my D020 up against any US made showerhead bubbler and while it may not match up as far as being aesthetically perfect it functions up there with the best of 'em for sure.

I have ordered twice from DHgate. Both my pieces were clear (no colour). Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it is just a matter of you get what you are sent. You may be able to discuss it with the supplier but I have not been able to chat with DHGate sellers the way I do on Alixpress or Alibaba.

So, on friday my delivery from Kathy Hu came in, got the HC bubbler and the hammer bubbler with 4 arm-perc http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6026553600.html

The 4-arm perc bubbler is great, except for the kinda ... SEXY design of the mouthpiece. Could only find one tiny scratch so far, glass feels nice and the perc works great. Really great piece for on the go.

The HC bubbler is ... just horrible. The glass is coverd in scratches, red marks and general glass imperfections. Everything about it is crooked, the base, the body, the GG, the HC, everything has its own angle. The inside looks dirty and foggy, tried to clean it with everything at my disposal, no chance. Will try again when my PBW arrives but I don't think it will help. Gave it a few test runs anyway after giving it the salt & ISO shake twice followed by soaking it in a dishwashing detergent. When you get the water level just right and hold it in a way to counteract the crooked angles, the HC seems to work very good, bubbles stack nice and there is hardly any chug. However, if you put it down on the table, it chugging like there's no tomorrow. Really sucks, the HC disc itself seems to be done pretty good.

In other news, my stemline perc to HC got sent to the wrong adress. In case any of you guys is from Italy, you may get a glass piece in the mail soon. For free.

Videos will follow, cought a bad cold and spent most of the weekend in bed :zzz:

Sorry to hear about that hc @Herr_Dampf but I do agree that hammer bub is sweet. No confirmation yet from @Meghan but they do appear tinier than the first batch. Which is cool with me, I dig the size of mine.

Maybe I got one from the first batch because I can't imagine this thing be any bigger and still comfortable to use (oh my, all the sexual innuendoes...). It's a really great piece and I can only advise anybody who wants a mobile bubbler to get it.

Mine was a 14mm joint, so I'm not sure whether they've shrunk or not. I do agree about the phallic nature of the mouthpiece, though. I couldn't use mine without my wife giving me a lot of crap about the image it presented.

Great function, though!

IMO it looks very very nice for the price! The perc seems kind of high which might throw water up into the mouth stem, but then again it might not do that at all, IDK. If it does all you'd have to do is fill the water to a level a bit below the top perc. In any case, looks well worth it to me!

It could work (depending on the size of the can) but it almost certainly won't work well.

That perc is way too big in way too small of a can to work properly. You will be pulling water into your mouth constantly. A taller can and it'll work better.

I will wait until I see a video in action!

In the meantime I wait for two new pieces this week to arrive. However the D020 from ghate has become my driver of late! I have expensive pieces I haven't used because my D020 bubbler works better?

I was looking at a very expensive glass piece made in the USA and it is nice however I feel more comfortable taking the D020 to my back deck outside with a vaporizer.
The weather is so sunny and warm.
I'm afraid to take expensive glass to the back yard. If the weather stays this nice until next fall I don't think I'll use my expensive stuff. I hate to vaporize indoors. Last nice I was wearing a T-shirt in my back yard with no chill at all! The D020 I take with me wherever I go. I love water path. So I bought 2 more pieces from ghgate to fill this need.

Some of the designs are totally lame.

However even a squirrel finds a nut sometimes!

So do you find that a bigger piece gives you bigger hits? Sometimes I want something larger, just to make it easier to use with a plug in like the 'nano.

Thats not been my findings. My Apollo atomic perc piece and my Everest Glassworks recycler are both smaller than my Mobius and they give way bigger hits than the Mobius.

Larger internal volume + more percolation gets me the biggest hits.

The inverse gets me the best flavor.
