hi everybody,
@Dopevape , hello neighbor , i am from luxemburg and also did not receive my login etc, yet,,,
¿¿ maybe it's because we are 'international customers', it could be they do them at last, because of different post code/adress formats then in the u.s. maybe there are difficulties for their 'web-guy', getting all this done ??
...just a guess...
...but....i try to stay patient...:rolleyes::chill::bigleaf::chill::bigleaf::chill::bigleaf:

any word yet? I still haven't received my login and such.. sent a mail to let them check it out. Has been 3-4 days still no new after they said they would let it get checked with their webmaster.. beginning to think they lost my info ... and 160 dollars down the drain.

I'm not sure what good writing e-mails on A4 and sending them through the postal service would do, if you don't have an account on the site. :-)

We did not "mess up with the data", no. The data is a combination of the data given to us by Indiegogo, e-mails sent before we created the contribution form, and data put into the contribution forms.

Validating and transforming the data is what is taking time. A large majority of the contributions were fairly simple and went out easily in the initial e-mails.

Of the people who filled out the form, over 800 people filled in the 'special requirements box' at the bottom. So I've read through, you guessed it, 800 responses, and had to do something, either clearing the nice message (thank you to the people who had nice things to say :-) ) or taking action on whatever the person had to say.

To put this all in perspective, 2,500 people contributed. If I spend 3 minutes on average per person to get them an account on the website, that's 125 hours of non-stop working. That's over 15 straight days of 8 hour days.

At the time of this writing, there's about 300 accounts left to be created. If you're one of these 300, I apologize for the inconvenience. It's taken time, and I've focused on getting the largest number of accounts out as possible to begin with. The ones that remain are ones which require individual attention from me (and are some of the largest contributions, which may be the reason for some of this vocality).

If you'd like to hand write me 2,500 letters on A4, I'd be glad to give you a mailing address. ;-)
------

That was a few days ago, though. I am sure if you have your IGG confirmation, they'll be able to sort it out.

I don't think so, from my perspective I thought the manufacturers for their parts and design improvements were their biggest distraction, plus this is very beneficial if it is what I asked them for. Which was the ability to buy more grassHoppers for the original price if we backed initially and decided we wanted more later.

Just received an email from the Grasshopper team. Looks like the estimated shipping date has been moved to July. There's an update coming April 1st (my anniversary, no less ). Part of me is hoping they'll post on April 1st as an April fools joke and say that shipping is starting soon and the July ship date was just a joke.

Here's a copy of the email I received:
Hey Everyone,

Below is a list of the major elements of the project and the status of each. We’ve received production samples of many of these parts, and are beginning to move forward with mass-production orders. These shipments will be arriving at our new facility, where assembly will be taking place.

Completed:

Charging IC

Charging Cable

Rear Button

Temperature Adjustment

Rear Circuit

Pen Clip

Main Body

Battery

Front Circuit

Heater/exchanger

In-Progress:

Packaging

Safety Certifications

Still to go:

Software Tweaks

Tolerancing

Assembly Processes

We’re trying to keep a realistic timetable, which is why we’re again going to push the delivery date back. When this project launched, we had little idea of how the scope would change over a few short months. What began as hundreds of Hoppers assembled in a garage has become a complex effort involving dozens of manufacturers in multiple countries.

Some elements have proved more difficult, others easier. But working with manufacturers on a large scale has proved incredibly time consuming.

The Grasshopper is a complicated device and requires precision machining, advanced PCB fabrication, and production-scale 3D printing. Each of these manufacturing elements has presented its own challenge, but progress has been steady and results are on the way.

To keep our shipping date realistic, we’re moving it to July. The delays are frustrating, especially to us. But our goal of delivering a great product stands above all else. We will not cut corners to save time or money, which is why you supported our project.

See our next schedualed update on April 1st!

No, we are not kidding. We were saying from the beginning that it would be incredible if it were to release when they first said it would. And there was a delay. And we said it again, and we're at July now. I was hesitant to pitch in for this reason mostly. I would much rather give my money and obtain a physical item in a few days, at least I have something to hold. The new delay is really really frustrating, I agree with you. Very few vaporizers ever release on schedule, but still it really sucks to have been pushed back... But we were saying February was unrealistic... 5 months after hopefully. I really do hope when it comes out it hits harder than his $250 vape.

Yeap.
I didn't really believe that release would be in February, expected something like middle/end of April all along. I thought that 2 months more would be enough but apparently it isn't, it makes me really disappointed. I had wrong approach, should have thought it comes when it comes. If there will be time when they start to deliver these things, like end of July, it takes 2 or 3 weeks to even come here and suddenly it has taken 3-4 months from my expectations. :(

At least should be best possible vaping experience what you can get from Grasshopper.
