@Caligula its not technique, think mine is bad. Probably gonna return it and buy more Persei stuff. Should have done that in the first place. Fuckin YouTube convincing me to buy shit. Lol.

EDIT....looks like I got a bad power cube. My luck strikes again! Thankfully have some 12v cubes around so....giving it another go...

Long time since ive heard this song. Im going with the 3.7v titanium kiss cart for now, and figure that shit out later. I think they suit me best depending on how much they will last me.

I'm not an expert like some of these people however I've tried many things.

I have a HERCULES SR71 & SR74.
These are PERSEI attachments.
Powerful!

I have the OMICRON and OPHOS and those I really love for maintaining medical levels!

If I had to do it all over again this is what I would do:

OPHOS or OMICRON LITE
OMICRON 2.5 (2.0 is on sale!)
PERSEI (so many gizmo's)

Start with the 2.4 carts.
T2 K.I.S.S. carts 3.7 and 5.0's I want someday!
In the meantime:

In fact I have a lot of stuff however currently I use a OPHOS with a 2.4 cart. This is how I stretch out my wax.

Do what you want to achieve.
This spring it's the PERSEI with a SR74 for devastating medication.

Are there more advanced usage tips for the Ti KISS? All the manual really says is to hold the button for 5 seconds, and wait 20 minutes SECONDS (thanks @Caligula) in between to cool to coil down.

I've read things like pulsing the button - is that for a longer draw? Is the idea essentially to get the coil hot enough to vaporize the extract, but not hot enough to turn red?

Yes that is pretty much true. I find that if I hold it down too long the taste starts to be harsh also. The flavor is best for me when I pulse the button. 1 second on 1 second off etc. Length of draw will depend on your lung capacity. This is what works for me with a 3.7v Ti. With the standard 3.7 I find that I can hold the button longer. You also want to be careful not to disturb the coil too much when loading or cleaning. Don't touch a hot/warm coil with anything metal. Just my :2c:.

I too am curious about usage technique for the Ti KISS cart. Will eagerly read any advice people write. Even basic stuff like how much do you load? When it shows up brand new do you need to clean it? At 3.7volts roughly how long can you hold the button before it can cause damage?

I had to take out the tiniest piece of the SR-74 Essential Upgrade for the Hercules to work fully screwed on. When I left it in, I had to make sure I didn't fully close it for it to work or it would move out of place pretty quick or just wouldn't heat up, while the blue light stayed constant. What does this piece exactly do and am I going to regret not using it in the future?

Haven't tried the TI coil yet since I didn't have much time tonight to test out the 74 but will have more free time tomorrow!

Edit: I was wondering if anyone tried cutting their non-stick mat before? The one I got is a little big and I was wondering if it would fall apart if I cut it in half.

Dunno about cutting the mat by hand, but i have cut mine with a laser and it came out perfect and cauterized the fibers so no fraying. If you are in CA hit me up and Ill laser it to whatever size you need if you dont mind waiting to ship it back and forth. Ive been doing some custom trays as well so if you wanted a whole setup tailored to your specs send me a message!

Re seat the bottom oring and use a small bit of Vaseline. Should fix it. If not let me know. Well get you fixed up.

Hey G, i tried your suggestions here and I think we're all good. 45 minutes with a 1/4 full chamber and not one drop leaking yet. Didn't even have to take off the o-ring, just put a little vaseline on a qtip and brought it around.

Okeanos rocks, glad I waited for it.

the little side holes on the bubbler tube clog after one hit with shatter.

i should have gotten a nibler xl because my sr71 rocks better than any portable i have ever used
I'm on the exact same boat.
Also, I iso bathed the Hercules, tried the SR-74 rod again but it keeps moving out of position after I screw it in with 1-2 mm sticking out of the white rod. The 74 rod is loose and doesn't heat up while the 71 rod works on first try.

i don't yet have the 74 rod to put in my sr71, but the assembly is the same. tighten the shit out of the nut with pliers

actually the sr74 you dont need pliers to tighten down the rod, even the sr71 i have yet to use any pliers or the people who tested it used any.

as tight as i could get that nut to squeeze the rod (by hand), it still would slide up and cause a dead short when the rod's upper contact bridged to both points.

many many many grams have been through this sr71 since i started using a tool to tighten the nut.
every few days/grams i take the rod out and torch it and re-install it.

After G helped me figure out some vaseline on the Oring was all i needed it's been great.

It's been all assembled and I've been hitting it all day. I knocked it over a couple times. I would be worried about the boro cracking if it fell over but I haven't had it leak on me ever since the first time i filled it after reseating and vaselining the o-ring.

Agreed nothing touches the Herc, but the Okeanos has been amazing for me.

I regularly use concentrates of "questionable" quality at best since most of the stuff I use is manually made and not as refined as the "good stuff" and as such I have noticed in the past I have clogged up W9 products pretty quick as they are usually designed with cleaner stuff.

That said I have done a lot out of my Okeanos since getting it and have been unable to clog it.

My Herc needs a good cleaning and then I will give the SR74 rod and new titanium coils a try :)

PS I always have used pliers to crank down the nut to keep the rod in place. I always did do this and I plan to do it when trying the SR74 rod in the SR71...

Well I received my Hercules about 10 days ago along with a few KISS carts (always have to do larger orders as in EU). Extremely happy I went to ISO soak my Hercules and whilst waiting put on the 7.4v KISS cart 5ohm with the 7.4v battery set up as I always have done. After about 10 secs I noticed it heating up and suddenly smoke was coming out the side with burning plastic smell. I immediately unscrewed the top, let it cool down and tried again with 3.7v set up just to see if still worked and sure enough looks like the top burnt out. Can't understand why as did nothing different that had been doing last couple months...suppose the new cart may have had something wrong or Persei got too excited with the new cart... : /

Anyways, feeling pretty devestated created a support ticket immediately as being in EU will always take longer to resolve and also far more costly. I purchased mine from eBay from a legitimate seller (mainly as shipping costs were so reasonable) and therefore would need to purchase the warrantee at $60 on top of shipping so was wondering whether was worth even creating a support ticket.

Support responded fairly quickly and really kindly said that they were looking into sorting a replacement top for me! Was extremely happy as thought would either a) have to pay for a new one which couldn't afford right now having spent near $1000 on Uptech products last 3 months lol and b) the time this process would take is too much for me staring at my Herc day in lol.

This was about 8 days ago and have messaged a couple times back to see if any news but haven't heard back from support yet? Was hoping that maybe THCScientific may read this and try help me out as I know how great you guys are at support which is also why bought into the brand ;)

Am dreaming daily of using my new Herc 7.4! Also very much hoping to purchase the triton as soon as available to improve my okeanos experience as has been somewhat difficult to say the least - broke glass - my fault, replaced glass, glass now little too big and leaks, added orings, added another oring as per suggestion but still clogging : / Actually works ok without water tho! And I still love it. I'm sure it's a very sound investment though as have full confidence in the makers!

Be really appreciative if support could help me out or let me know an ETA/Update. Obviously if have to purchase a new one I will reluctantly do so in the next 2-3 weeks as have all the attachments and moreover LOVE my Persei :) Has literally changed my smoking life!

Thanks and apologies for rambling..

P.S Where is it possible to buy a replacement cart for the Okeanos? I was just using another KISS cart which worked fine until I read that a specific one was need to work with it. I have so many I cant remember which bottom part it was in case wanted to recyle...Thanks

The Okeanos KISS cart has a small air hole in the center of the contact pin. Visible by looking at the thread side up.

Thanks @DieHard for the info! Now to see if will be available through W9 website or planetvape, vaporwarehouse etc. Be great if so as always good to have a spare.

@HerbalHighway theres been a thing where if you tighten the KISS carts down onto the head too much you can cause a short, frying the top. To prevent this you need to stop tightening once you feel resistance. Its possible to tighten the cart a turn or two more after that point which is why caution is needed.

There is a fix we are working on that will get incorporated into the tops currently in testing. Should eliminate 99% of all issues.

Also Okeanos kiss carts are available tomorrow online.

A GoPro oring solves it just fine too. Think 906 for size. Allows for a tight fit, and lines up logos.
