The second email sounds like the only one they should have sent! Very good customer service and communication there. Looks like you really found a seller you are happy with. I was looking at the first piece you got from them for a while...thinking about pulling the trigger on it next month...I reeeally would like to see a video of that piece in action from someone!!!

I have one, I just dont have anywhere to host it. Im not in a legal or medical state so I really dont want to toss it up on YouTube.

I just tracked my DHgate package and it was delivered this morning at 4am  I wish I knew as I would have checked the front of my house before I left for work....but at least I have toys to go home to.

Ok, I got my toys. My D020 has 10 slits, I thought I counted 11, but no it has 10, hits very smooth, fits in my hand REALLY well. I used it with my Pinnacle Pro and it was super nice smooth draw, percs fired well and it purred like a kitten (I swear, the performance of the PnP could rival some desktop plugins:mmmm:). D020 is a winner for me. Plus, it's SO CUTE!

Helix Pipe, I also used it with the PnP, it cooled the vapor well but I couldn't see much thick clouds so no visible vortex, I did get vapor when I exhaled, just couldn't see the intake. I plan to try it again on a higher heat setting. It's really just a novelty pipe so far, even if it vortexed vapor well I'm not sure how long it would keep my attention. Maybe as a handpipe used with its bubbler attachment connected to a whip.

All in all, I'm very pleased. The glass was packaged VERY well in Atombomb proof bubble wrap, it was a lot to unpackage, but worth it for no breakage. All pieces seemed decent quality, some slight imperfections but nothing bothersome, funniest thing was seeing the faint but permanent thumbprint in the depression of the Helix's flattened mouthpiece tip. Plus I ordered on 3/2 and it came today 3/12, 10 days to the East Coast USA, impressive. I've ordered domestic stuff that took longer.

I'd post pics but too busy right now, maybe later. I'm not supposed to be posting so much right now anyways :evil::evil: (self imposed break) but I owed you guys a report on my DHgate purchase. Thank you to all the pioneers who paved the way in this forum.

I haven't used it and I don't know if it'll embed, but maybe look into viddme?

We're here to fuck shit up.
Portrait video....in 2014....the inhumanity...
Hey... it's a technical video. I didn't think anyone would be interested in the rest of my blanket backdrop, I assure you it's gray. It also allows you to view the piece at a higher resolution...

I always shoot vertically. I showcase the piece, not everything around the piece that doesn't matter.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
You should be ashamed. It's not just aesthetics, with the modern standard aspect ratio of 16:9 it's a middle finger to anyone with who wants to full screen your video.

As opposed to the ancient standard whereby one expressed gratitude and/or thanks to an individual for making an effort to post any kind of video....

Ashamed? I'm not. I've never had a complaint. Don't like it? Don't watch. To say I'm giving a big middle finger to those that want to full screen is ridiculous. I post the majority of my videos for those who want to see how a piece functions. Who wants to see what the rest of the room I'm in looks like? Are a couple of blank spots on either side of the action something I should be ashamed of? Nonsense.

Sorry I could resist, I'm guilty of it to because it can be hard to frame a taller glass piece without it being tiny in the shot when horizontal. I have found it best to upload vertical videos to Vimeo because I can watch it full screen on my phone at least. YouTube won't let you view vertical videos in full screen the way vimeo does.

All I've used around 5g through my d020 and I love it, but I like to use a high water level and I want more bubbles. I've been thinking about trying a showerhead downstem with it, has anyone tried this?

I wouldn't. True it would function more like the reti perc but it wouldn't really be doing anything since the water reservoir is outside the angled showerhead. A 90° to 45° angle adapter and ash catcher works great (if a little top heavy).

Probably my favorite thing about the d020 is how stable it is, I don't want to do anything to effect that. But you don't think the downstem would benefit it?

I doubt it'd do enough to be worth it Considering the cost of the D020 itself. You'd also have to get the length perfect.

Even with being a little top heavy it's still quite stable. It would take quite a bump to tip it.

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
I use a 6 slit downstem in my D020, I find it helps bring clouds with my LSV. It also was much more enjoyable with the Lotus. The water goes inside both downstems and both function (well, the downstem serves its purpose at least). If you feel the need for more resistance like I did, pick one up and you won't be disappointed.
