The Lotus Vaporizer

Dang-it.
I just noticed a hairline crack in my top plate. It follows the lines of the dimple and goes about 1/2 way around the bowl....looks like the Lotus might be grounded for a bit. I'll post a pic up later.

Have you all had to replace the top plate often? I am hoping this was a fluke occurrence.

I got home from work just as the mail man was running. He got to my box and drove went out...damn no lotus. He backed back up and handed me a package...my lotus is here!!! unwrapped, read instructions, watched a video, loaded her up and went at it. This thing is what the supreme vape should have been..and I own both models of the supreme. same concept except the supreme has a temperature thingy. i am using a strain called animal cookies. all i can say is damn. this thing is good. @steama i now understand your comment. this is a damn good vape. i made milk and plenty of it. over the last few months my Vape rotation has gotten small, today it is gotten smaller. only using 2 FF, and lotus. The taste of this thing is un fucking believable! the FF is great, the lotus is just plane INSANE! i have never licked my lips after hitting a vaporizer. i did today on this lotus. thx for the recommendation @steama

So I went to the LHS today to buy a J-Hook, and just as I was about to check out, this little piece caught my eye. I just tested it out, and I can say those were the biggest vapor clouds I have ever had the pleasure of inhaling. Being able to see the vapor form makes it even easier to use. I've got mad love for the Lotus :peace:

Who is the maker of that glass piece...i am looking for a smaller j-hook style pipe

I got my Lotus today, love it!
Lighter didn't last the first bowl, gas just stopped coming out.
Click... No hiss.
Emailed MT and they replied quickly, instructions to purge and refill. Try again. Wear gloves, that's a lot of butane to purge.
Will report back on that.

There are many lighter links in here, what's the best?
Someone mentioned buying the Honests by the dozen, where?

Fasttech.com will give you a good bulk price ($2.66/per for 5+ lighters). Comes from China, so 3-4 weeks until delivered.

Got the double/single flame torch in today :) gonna give it some testing. I really like everything about it but the fact that there is no fuel window. It does fit the hand well, and I like the trigger, flame control knob underneath instead of having to use a tool. Showed up with fuel already loaded from China which was a surprise. Gonna see how it performs for the next few daze...

Very Nice Find!
"VNF"

Just bought one!

Thanks!

D020 tonight with LOTUS!

It works!

On a Möbius plane
slowly and lovingly, a fat wooden dowel (this is going to be a phallic morning) inserted into the metal cavity and wedged at an angle should give you a handle on getting her loose...LOL.
Thanks @samirfuzzywuzzy !

I managed to get the metal ring out with some gentle back and forth motion with a long dowel :brow:

Using my 18mm PVHES Turbo GonG for the bowl. Really works well. I have taken the top o-ring from the metal Lotus WPA and it fits nicely in the groove below the PVHES Turbo bowl and ensures a snug fit into the Lotus cap :)

To all~ I am curious what storage containers are you all using for your herb?

I want to get something that will be:

1) Airtight
2) Fit into the Lotus pouch with everything else
3) Also fit in pocket
4) Something that I can get into easily with the scooper

The JyARz storage containers first caught my eye, and people seem to really like them, but it does not look like they will easily accommodate the scooper. I typically pre-grind, so something I can get into the corners of would be most ideal. What do you all recommend I look at?

I'm using Jyarz, and love them. I use my measure spoons (from amazon: link posted a few pages back) in them for scooping. One word to those trying the double flame torch, go easy... it covers more surface area so you really don't have to apply it for long. I usually pull back as soon as that cloud starts to form in the bubbler, and ride the residual heat for the rest of the hit.

The small Space Case container is the best solution I have found! It's a match made in heaven with the Lotus. No need for extra scoops! :D

It can hold up to ten grams super compacted herbs in that tiny space!

The fine folks at MT were kind enough to send out another torch to replace the faulty one I received.
I went ahead and ordered 5 more from fasttech. Thanks for the link @Fenton Mewley.

I'm really enjoying my new Lotus.
Amazing clouds in a couple seconds! It has changed my vaping routine in a couple days, no more powering up the EQ and waiting for it to warm up.
I'm already feeling good by the time it would have warmed up. :smug:

I paired it up with my 16" tube today, I like it more than the bubbler because I get a better visual of the vapor. It's heavy diffusion kills the flavor though.

I wanna get a decent quality bubbler sometime in the next year. I've got 2 ash catchers and a j hook that i'll probably sell to fund it. I wanna get something as close to 1 piece as possible to use with my mflb and lotus. Looking around the $100 range. I love when there is color, wood, metal, and frosted glass worked into the designs. Logo's really bug me. I really want a pinched mouthpiece. The orbiter looks cool, but idk how i feel about the whips. I saw someone using a mini hydrator on here a while back with a 45 degree adapter for comfort and to make room for the stir stick. It seems like by the time u add the adapter the Vapor Brothers High Performance Hydrator (pictured below) would be better (even though i think i would prefer smaller and cheaper).

vapor_brothers_bong_bongs_marijuana_hash-14.jpg

Do u guys think it would have enough clearance for the stir stick without an adapter (close up below)? I could always bend the stir stick.

Im not too worried about heating without the 45 degree angle.

What is your favorite glass to use with the Lotus? Any glass recommendations (particularly smaller)? Am I just gonna end up using my 12" bong with the Lotus and keeping the bubbler for the launch box (in which case i would be better off with the mini hydrator)?

I finally ordered my WPA earlier today, and have also been looking at all glass options... I was overwhelmed by so many choices, I just said screw it and went with the stock metal. IMO it tastes great anyway;)

I am going to mate it up to this mini tube first, then will try the bubs next:D
I am also a fan of the pinched, flat mouthpieces.
