This is the only other picture that was on the site but the final version is suppose to be slightly different and have a few upgraded parts. I'll post up more pictures when I get it. I also bought this ceramic nail from the same place for $30.

What website/company did you buy it from?

I'll be sure to post a review when I receive it and if I have the chance, I'll compare it to my DIY E-nail that I have

Awesome

Have you written about your DIY e-nail on here? I'm considering making one but most of the builds I've seen cost over 200. For that price it's not really worth it personally.

No I haven't but if you have the money to spare, I say you should definitely build one. Assuming you have a dremel, soldering iron, wire cutters, etc., you could probably get all the parts and coil for under $200. I have a few regular coils for the infiniti nail w/ XLR connectors for $70 if your interested (5/8" coil w/ silicone sheathing). The PID should be $30-35, SSR - $10, Rocker switch - $5, Power Cord - $5, XLR chassis mount - $5, AC Adapter - $5, Wires - $10, a plastic case $10-20, and some wire connectors and shrink wrap for another $10. You can get all the parts on eBay and Amazon but check eBay first because lots of the listings have free shipping compared to Amazon. Also if you want, I have an extra 5 pin XLR chassis mount + red 3 pin rocker switch I could sell you for like $7

Nice. I'll probably be interested in a week or two. I have a rarely-used whip vape that I'm going to try and modify into an e-nail first. Basically I'm going to model the dbv dab kit (ti nail attached to the ceramic element) but I'd like it to mount directly to a bong, so it doesn't require plastic tubing.

Sounds good, just let me know. Good choice on the dbv kit ! Just be sure get an extra globe or 2 if possible. Seems like a lot of people have problems with them cracking due to the tension bar "upgrade". Also for anyone that was interested in the analog, the price raised from $100 to $150..

Here's how the updated analog e-nail from domeless.com looks like.

Anyone try the Dab Easy D-Nail 2.0 yet? Local club is selling the shit out of them recently. Sorry in advance if this was already covered.

after four weeks i finally have my very own enail
vAZ66wZ.jpg

flights got delayed 4 hours on my way home but managed to get back around 1am with this waiting for me, no chance i was gunna go to sleep without testing it out (especially after a week break from dabs)

friend from back home always had a knack for building these sorts of electronics so i figured i'd hit him up see if he'd be interested in making me one. sent him the instructions and he said looked easy enough. $200 for parts and gave him $240 for labor (probably would've done like 50-150 but wanted him to know I appreciated it). i'm very very happy with it

tried it with the highly educated infiniti nail first and worked real well, just sandwiched the caps and it fit pretty nicely. doesn't heat too evenly but it's titanium so it doesnt really matter cus the heat transfers so well it all gets hot. haven't tried low temp carb cap dabs yet edit: forgot to mention, highly educated is apparently going to release electric nail caps for the infiniti so you can just buy that on its own, definitely going to get that once it comes out

trying it with my ceramic nail as well but i've run out of wax, forgot that my friends got the last of it before i left  hopefully will get some shatter tomorrow

I haven't tried the D-nail but you should look on E-nails Only or Electric nails for sale FB groups for reviews. You can also find the owner on there if you have any specific questions. Every post I've seen about the d-nail has been nothing but good and the remote start seems pretty awesome. Customer service seems to be great too.

hishighness: You have a really lucky friend.. He got about $50+/hr of work lol. I'd be down to build one for $325 if I had the people to build for haha. You should tell him to throw another rocker switch on the front of the case, it would look a bit nicer and you can turn your coil on/off when you want. Also what do you think is the best temperature to use on that ceramic nail? The last time I used it with my regular coil, a bunch of oil just pooled up so I went back to my infiniti.. Regarding the HE nail caps, they're already out for sale. I seen selling them for $45 or $50

lol yeah i know i overpaid but my friend goes to an ivy league uni so i assume he's a busy guy with school/the other lil projects he does. didnt want him to say "oh yeah sure" and then just put it off for a month. is a rocker switch just the on/off switch? if so, it's on the back :D

havent done enough tests with the ceramic yet, was planning on doing a more complete write up in the ceramic nail thread. doesn't work very well at a low temp but i just threw it up to 900*F and it's looking much better (cleaned to white after ~10 min). i ordered one of those new non-glazed heads and i think that one will clean much quicker. if it doesn't i think i'm just going to get one of those flat coils and the washers solely for use on the ceramic

are we talking about the same thing? this is what i mean:

like you can buy just the top enail cap and screw it in, is this what you saw? task put this up on ig a couple weeks ago but he only said wholesale orders so i figured itd be a bit before it made it to ALT, etc.

Instructions? Any chance you can share them here or shoot me a pm? I only dab a couple times a day at most so I never really thought an enail was worth the cost for me. If I can put one together myself for around $200, I'd love to give it a shot.

oh yeah i'll edit that post, it's just the reddit diy enail (as shitty as 99% of reddit is, it's worth it for those 1% posts like this lol)
http://www.reddit.com/r/CannabisExtracts/comments/1kczbg/diy_enail_howto/

edit: nevermind i guess this forum has a time limit on editing

edit again: also forgot to mention it cost me $200 in parts because i got the more expensive coil at $110, you could get a coil for $75 or even $50 if you want to save some cash, no idea how much "better" one coil is vs another

Only birdshit and fools
I was just using a buddy's dnail with a
Domeless quartz nail. I really feel in love with this thing. We kept the temp at 550 with a carb cap and it slowed down the hit and made it really tasty! The difference between quartz and Ti is night and day. I would like some directions on how to make on of these also. Please pm me

Yeah I'm talking about a 2nd on/off switch. One is for the main unit, the 2nd is for the coil. Check the reddit link wiring diagram to see what I'm talking about. I just think it would make your e-nail a bit nicer and it would be nice to add another function to it since you paid $440 lol.

Regarding the HE Nail tops, the guy selling it for $50 is LukeAt DowntownFog on Facebook. Just send him a message if your interested. If I see anyone else selling it (hopefully cheaper), I'll post a link. Here's a pic he posted. You should also check out the new v2 nail domeless released. Seems pretty cool and you won't have to purchase a flat coil for the regular nail

another switch for the coil? would that let me keep the box "heated up" when the coil's off? that'd be neat but honestly can't say it matters enough to me to get it switched. probably if i need something fixed i'll have him throw it on, thanks for the heads up. appreciate the link as well, i've kik'd him so hopefully grab one of those soon.

i had seen that new domeless.com nail but in my haste overlooked its use - saw "17 mm" and assumed too big for my coil but now i realize you put the coil inside the ceramic element, that's pretty creative. may need to check that out, really with the carb cap i dont notice that much of a pooling effect but it would be nice if it cleaned to white more easily (right now bout ~3/4th the cap cleans to white and takes a lil while)

Got my post deleted but here's the picture I posted of the analog for those that were interested. Overall it works pretty good with the flat coil but the coil life is shorter then the regular barrel coils. Although you do get better way better heat distribution, you can burn your coil out faster if you turn your temps up high either on accident or just to clean off your nail. Apparently you're not suppose to turn it up past 700-900 ( not exactly sure) but the barrel coils can go up to 1100-1200 with no problem. I might look into wiring a barrel coil for the analog to see how well it works with my HE E-nail insert. Does anyone have recommendations for a decently cheap small tip soldering iron I should use for a Mini XLR? The pins are bit too small for this cheap $25 soldering iron I have lol.
