If I warm up at max and after green dial down to 2:00, it is about 20-30 seconds of red light. @biohacker, do you have a IR thermometer to test and see if there is any temp change between the two settings?

My unit does seem to have a difference between 3:00 and 5:00

IIRC SM posted not long ago that the difference is approx 20 degrees.

I found it difficult to get very precise IR readings. Besides distance from the object affecting the reading, the shape of the joint/bamboo bends the beam also affecting the reading. And note that the differential at the heater will not translate linearly into temps at the joint, etc. So within only a small 20 degree range at the heater looking for a reliable comparison, not sure that can be done w/o opening the unit. With patience and multiple readings I was able to get an average for approximate comparisons at the joint; I would hesitate to use those for precise heater comparisons though.

....this past weekend I was doing "honeycomb hash" with my flowers...mixed in a layer on top of flowers, than covered up with another layer of flowers...works great...elb just requires more diligent cleaning....but other than that evo is fuckin great....

Still loving my EVO, by far the best vape I've ever used.

I'm psyched for the new concentrate attachment. That's the one thing I've been wishing the EVO could do. Tried it once to less then satisfactory results. Was going to try experimenting some more, but won't need to with the real attachment coming out!

Just to echo what others have said: I too find the EVO is more then usable when the light first turns green, but it's without a doubt better after it's been on for 10+ minutes. I usually flip it on whenever I get home, and by the time I'm settled down on the couch, it's ready to go :)

Well guys Im in the market for some new glass that will pair up PERFECT with the evo. I have tried nearly all the hydratubes except the brand new ones and the recycler so Im not looking at those. Just a nice HEAVY hitter. Is there anyone out there that feels they found a piece that really compliments the evo?

Mines supposed to show up today, better get to cleaning my glass. Giddy with excitement. I got the Turbine tube with mine, but will be trying it on my current combusting glass line up as well. Interested in the sidecirc for compactness, the swaggerpuck looks great too, if it only had a bent neck on it.

Some of the heady glass out there for the EVO is beautiful. Would love one of those to be added to my lineup, but they're a bit out of range for now.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

Well, I have about a dozen glass pieces I rotate through. From cheap-o Chinese glass up to the HTs and a Mobius Ion. I like the variety. But in the end my favorite is the Ion. Perfect combination of diffusion and volume. And easy to clean...perhaps the easiet of all my pieces.

I really like my early bird double-chambered swaggertube,
but find myself reaching for this just as often:

It supports the evo well, and feels balanced when I hold it with one hand.

Does anyone else feel like the EVO takes about 10-15 minutes for optimal operation?
I can go from cold to visible vapor in under 5 minutes with the EVO, if I want.

Just start heating it up at max and hit it when it turns green!
You could turn it back down from max to stabilize the temp,
but hitting it at max when it first turns green is the fastest possible time-to-vapor with the Vapexhale EVO.

Please give us a trip report after trying out to Evo + Turbine, that's the exact combo I want to purchase when I order the Evo and I can't wait! :D

Also, are there heady glass/heavy Hydratubes made specifically for the Evo? Where at?

Im really considering the matrix tube. I have one being offered to me for 320 shipped which isent too bad IMO. That little thing does look nice though! I just like big volume pieces but I might pick this one up too!

My favorite is the GBD fritted sidecar. Incredibly smooth and I love the big volume. This allowed me to take bigger hits than I'm able to tolerate with my Swagger Circ thus getting me even more medicated. The day I got it it was like an instant Cloud upgrade! However, I do prefer the convenience of the hydratube so I use the Swagger Circ most often.

I am dying to get my hands on a Mobius though. I suspect that could be my new favorite if I had the opportunity to try it out. Same goes with the Swagger Recycler HT.
