like i said a million times, they aren't melting. I also clearly said that the glass mp wasn't ready yet. have you ever heard the term "rome wasn't built in a day"?

the solution for those that are overseas that do not want to return their pong will be as follows.

A. return your pong and we will ship you a new glass mp.

or

B. do not return your pong, email us and explain you do not want to return but you would like a glass mp. However, with this option you will need to pay for your shipping. when you email us someone will contact you with a shipping quote.

I appreciate your help and participation in this thread, I sent an email and have not gotten a response. I have a clear thin-walled PonG (came with WT) that I would like to return in exchange for the GonG with a silicon oring. I know its a busy time but I would just like an answer to my question so I can send what I need to send and get the right replacement. I dont need to wait for engineerings version as I prefer glass only.

No need for the attitude, your customers are keen to get this moving as it is a health concern, something not to be complacent about. Maybe you didn't say they were melting, but Engineering did, and, well, he's the 'engineer' :

A further update on the GONG project:
We will be rolling this out soon, it is a modification of the original PONG with a glass insert in the center that will seal off the air path to glass only, while allowing the same attachment and sealing that the current PONG has.

This will keep hot gasses from the bullet from touching any plastic, and should eliminate any melting issues with the PONG.

Stay tuned for more!

I will email about shipping to Europe, as I am interested to know how much this will cost. It's not really standard practice to charge customers shipping to replace faulty parts but you do seem to do things very differently at VaporBlunt. Can't you just fix your problem for free please?

Its going to cost you either way most company's would request you to send in a faulty item at your own expense. be happy enough that you are getting a free replacement, Not many companies would go to the trouble. Some company's would just trow in the towel and start again under a different name.
TRVB can u just confirm, can we return the MP or do you require the PONG.

I don't believe I have any warranty as I bought it second hand.
@VapeNStone -Contact person you bought it from. Ask for their receipt or point of purchase info. Then use that to contact reseller or TRVB for a RMA. With secret identities, do we really know who is who? Or Christmas gift???

Warrantee is 1 year/90 days. Doesn't say anything about non-transferable....
So sorry man!!!

What's up everybody? I've been following this thread for months and I finally decided to join the conversation. lol. So I've read this entire thread and I am still curious about one thing. The smell. I still combust here. Pretty much a one pull, one hit burn out of a bong. I vacuum up all smoke and smell. Soo.. With the PNP while it's heating up does it reek? Would it be possible to heat it up... Drop the bullet in. Turn off the unit take a rip or two and stop? Will the bullet stink while sitting in the heating chamber as it cools? Will I get the same type of odor free results? And ps... Kudus to TRVB and crew and everyone on here... I think this thread is a great microcosm of how the whole world should operate. Much Respect!

Welcome Yoduh.
There is not much smell while heating up and virtually no smell if you keep the pong closed ie yuor finger on top. smell is very low on this vape but that's also strain dependent. Smell will be much less than bonging and not recognizable for the non vapist.

UnderMist

Technically its vapor but UnderVape sounded weird
Smell is minimal with normal use, even during heat up. With the Water Tool the smell is more noticeable. It dissipates quicker, but it will get pretty obvious what you are doing when you use it. :ko:

When you first own the PNP, a lot of people use the smell appearance as an indication of when to start hitting it. But yeah, for complete stealth, put a finger over the opening until your lights indicate it has reached temp.

Some people here do not put the bullet in until the lights are solid, but I think they do that for the "heat soak" technique rather than odor, but maybe one of them will comment about the effect on smell. I don't do the drop in, so I wouldn't know...

I have found my pocket and clothing a teensy bit smelly after using the PNP and putting it back in my vest pocket, but not too smelly to be a problem, you have to lean in close to smell it on me.

You know that one nug.... You have in two baggies in your pocket and people still think you stink from two feet away? You know that fresh off the stem scent.... It can be super potent... And if I remember correctly vaping intensfies that. Almost like cooking it?

UnderMist

Herb, and the smell of vaping are two different intensities. If you want to prevent smell even further pack it where the herb smell won't affect the area you will be vaping at. When you vape with the PnP the smell is negligible. The smell goes away pretty quickly and it doesn't smell that much. If you are close enough you can smell it, but its not dank or anything like that. Its really good for stealth. I would recommend keeping a window open just to be safe.

The Pnp will be the smelliest when heating up your herb in the very beginning, when the herb is just heating up. That fresh herb scent, you know what I mean. Not so smelly after the first couple of minutes, very easy to use a scented candle or car freshener. If you're home pop some popcorn if you need to mask the odor. No vape is odor free. But does not linger, not intense like combusting and goes away quickly.

It's important that VB gets this new piece right, not rush through it half assed. It's only been about a week or 2 since he said he would be making a new glass gong/mouthpiece. It's not like putting something together for yourself or friends. This is something that's sold to the public. Be patient people. It's important that they care about what product they put out.

There was a portable vape company just recently that just shut their doors and left their customers high and dry with an inferior product that's dangerous to use. With all the new vaporizers coming into the marketplace. It's buyer be ware.

Awesome, seems like that was the solution from the beginning was it not.

And maybe not 'melting' but heat degrading.. there's quite a few cases and there's plenty of chipping ones and we know that the PES used is unable to hold up against the temps the vape runs at let alone iso wash (pg156)

Im sorry if you take this as me being impatient, im well aware rome wasnt built in a day however i think the many people unable to use there devices would appreciate a swift replacement. Fair enough if your trying to get it perfect however the original glass o-ring one posted a week ago seemed quite fine for a free replacement to fix every ones health concerns. :2c:

I think your wrong, the problem seems to come from being half assed in the material selection department in the first place, designing a glass insert with an o-ring dosn't seem like a month long task.

VB is not a new company and therefore i don't think it should be buyer be ware at all.

Anyway thanks for the support so far VB looking forward to further progress :peace:

I sometimes let my PNP heat up in my case, and then whip it out (that's what she said) when ready for the first hit.

I will sometimes make use of the Vapexhaustor to kill the smell of the vapor.

Tai Sun, When I said buyer beware, I didn't mean VB. They are trying to make things right. You misunderstood me I meant the up and coming new companies that have pieces of junk vaporizers out there that they sell to people. They are here one day and gone the next.

I was talking about companies that all of a sudden go out of business after they get your money.

BARNBOY EPIC ADJUST-A-BOWL GonG UPDATE!!! Well I got home tonight and found the Epic Adjust-A-Bowl mentioned before. It came in a nice bubble envelope that fit in my rural mail box. Inside the envelope was a nice hand written “Thank you BarnBoy” on the invoice with the GonG and spare screen inside a nice little white box. I took a ton of measurements and was upset at first by some of the imperfections in the glass. It is not self-stable, flat, nor will it directly fit in a PonG! But the glass stem of the Epic GonG does fit inside the PNP on the Teflon surface; just not air tight. With the silicon tube that came with the Adjust-A-Bowl, I was able to make a simple skirt that fit over the PNP wall. Even though it would hold its own weight, I hated it and rushed off to the local hardware store. Started out with an o-ring, but the bugger would slide down the shaft of the GonG when I inserted it into the PNP. @TherealVaporblunt version must have a ridge to keep the o-ring in place. I have not heard back from them regarding the TRVB GonG; will just be patient as his email requested.

I eventually found a cone washer. It was really too small, but I was able to force it over the GonG stem. It plugs into the PNP like a cork keeping things air tight. But here is the neat part; the screen on the Adjust-A-Bowl can be slightly pushed out to keep the bullet contents in and packed tight. There were posts long ago about adjusting the PonG screen to keep the bullets secured and not rattle, and the difference in performance in vapor it made. BELIEVE IT, there is an amazing difference! As you can see from below, I used the silicon tube rolled up as a jam for the cone washer. Will eventually sandwich the clear PonG skirt between these two once I modify the PonG tomorrow (have to remove the tube completely and mode like @Philreal187 did in his post)…

I also noticed the back wall on the PNP doesn't have residue...

JSM65IE.jpg

So what do I think now? This was the best frick’n upgrade I have made since my WT arrived; SERIOUSLY! There were times at the beginning of my PNP experience where I thought my old Steinel and glass bowl w/ whip tasted better than the PNP. I now think the PNP with this mod tastes on par with my old system and much cooler vapor experience than the PonG. The Epic GonG has a smooth 14mm glass tip and doesn’t get stuck in the WT like the PonG does. I tested this up to setting 4, the orange cork and rolled silicon tube got very warm (approx 60C) from the glass/vapor but far from melting. I am one happy BarnBoy!

So now to comment on the smell topic from @Yoduh, there was a suggestion to pre-heat the PNP before dropping in a bullet. I found this to be a great idea. There is less initial odor (than if dropped in and warmed up), and the first draws are more tasty. Combine this with the GonG, oh-my goodness!

PNP PonG is now in retirement…

Just bought my pinnacle pro a week ago. It is a great product but the other day I was using it and the mouthpiece was kinda stuck. I pulled it off and off came the little circle the little black plastic circle that surrounds the bullet. I am very upset because I thought I bought a quality product. Has anybody had this issue?

@BarnBoy

This is what I came up with using my E-Nano GonG. I used basically the same method as @Philreal187, @emmdeemo, and almost certainly several people who I am forgetting. You know who you are -- I took inspiration from everyone in this thread. This forum is a breeding ground for good ideas and information.

The recent flurry of mouthpiece mods is what inspired me to try this. I always sort of wished in the back of my mind that the Pinnacle had the option of a glass mouthpiece, just for luxury or whatever.

I currently have the "all-glass" GonG, which has the built in honeycomb. I don't think it makes much difference in terms of drag. I have an "adjust-a-bowl" GonG on the way. I will have to see how it compares.

I used a small bit of the silcone tubing that came with my E-Nano to make an air-tight seal between the bored out PonG (I used one of my extra PC PonGs that came with my PNWT.) I also use a rubber band to keep the whole thing snug while its upside down, since drilling out the center sleeve seems to have stopped the outer PonG from effectively snapping into place. Eventually, I would like to replace the rubber band with a larger silicone sleeve that I can use to seal the outer PonG to the PNP, like @Sativape has done (I hope that is correct.)

This setup works really well for me. I can't say yet whether it is objectively better than the standard PES PonG, but I can say that it works very well, and that the flavor is marginally better.

That's all for now. Thanks to all for your contributions to this thread! The PNP is not just awesome for a portable -- it is a really good vape. :worms: :science:  :peace:

Welcome to FC Sald!

If you read the past 20 pages you will see that the pong and mouth piece degradation has been confirmed. Vapor blunt has two solutions in the work. Don't fret you will get a new glass air path one, through the trade in program.

Before you get any new vape always check here first for reviews. Not all vapes are created equal and most new vapes have plenty of issues. Make sure there is a warranty and you will be happy when you stick with companies who have good track records.

I've just ordered one I took a gamble after the melting mouthpiece issue.

As long as I can buy a new mouthpiece ill maybe wait before using it? I'm guessing not everyone has an issue?

I have some concentrates to burn up some G 13 hash and some G 13 oil I'm guessing that these need a higher temperature to vape properly which would concern me over the melting issue

Just be safe. Don't use it till you trade in your old pong. Everyone's pong might not have completely melted yet, but it is an issue that concerns all pinnacle owners.
