No worries, I was just afraid I'd missed out on some exciting new technology. As for the battery box you linked earlier, I had been looking at them a while back and ended up settling with this one because of it's capacity display feature and integrated protection. Might have to change back if I can't find them cheaper though.

Not to start a pissing match, but how does that compare to others?

Awesome picture.

Edit* It had a barely used PD in my hands for a short time a few years ago. It had a taste that the neither the CRZ nor UD have/had. At the time I assumed it was just the wood. The more I think about it though, I'm convinced it was char. I spanked it when I first got it, and thought that the lack of HC screen let a lot of herb fall in there due to the amount of bits that fell out. Either way, that pic looks pretty charred.

Got a new leash for my dog ...

She's ready for some hiking.

If anyone is interested the battery pack finally died after a little over 4.5 hours. The voltage was very stable at 12.71 in the beginning and finished at 12.68 on the 13.0 volt setting. I thought the voltage was going to lower significantly as the battery pack drained but as you can see it was a mere .03 volts so no noticeable difference in heater temp.

Just bought an underdog twig last night, anything you guys feel I should know before it arrives? Super stoked to have one coming finally!

Is it OK to fully discharge these batteries?? do you think it might wear them out?? I don't know shit about batteries, but I remember hearing some don't like to be fully discharged, or it can damage the batteries.. IIRC the batteries in the Solo might be that way??

Good question ... I went until the display read 0 then put it on the charger but I don't know what the remaining voltage in the battery is when the display reads 0. I'm going to drain it down to 0 again then take it apart and test each separate cell to see what the remaining voltage is. I believe you don't want to go below 2.7v on 3.7v li ion batteries but I'll have to double check that number. I don't know a whole lot about this stuff either ...

I have a question about the new GonG stems @underdog ...how high above my glass piece will the log be when using the GonG stem? From the videos I have seen everyone is using the WonG, which I did not see available, and the log seems relatively close to the piece. I am just curious if these GonG are the same length, or longer, than the WonG stems. Sorry if this came across silly, im very medicated. Its just a thought I had after ordering.

Thanks in advance!

What do you guys think is the best smelling essential oil?

That's like asking what is the best tasting flavor of ice cream. Everyone is different and moods change. I tend to lean more toward the citrus-y oils like lemongrass and orange during the spring and summer months. Simple, easily recognizable scents that make the air a bit sweeter. Of course, come fall and winter I'm using tea tree and eucalyptus more often.

If I never tried ice cream before, I would probably be asking the same thing just for ideas. ;)

When are we getting new stuff on the site?

We should be adding 5-10 more in the next few days..

My likes are much like SirEltons, citrus-y smells when the weather is warm and more powerful earthy smells when it's cooler. Lemongrass and Peppermint/Tea Tree are my specific favs currently.

Guess who's getting a souped up and sexified custom pup?....If you didn't guess Lampshade, guess again!

What, no pic Lampshade? :brow:

Hey Dogs I'm caught up on most of my work for once so thought I'd drop by with a general update from UD country, you know what's been going on around here lately, some random thoughts, etc.

I've really been having a lot of fun with custom orders lately, it's too bad though that so many of the people commissioning them (probably 90%) don't want pictures of them shared publicly. Not you guys here on FC but mostly people that don't trust putting this kind of stuff on the net. Bummer the lack of pictures really but their wish is my command. :)

The rain finally stopped here in my area of NorCal so now I can throw all the shop doors wide open again and get back to work. Lots of pretty pieces in the works including someone who I think is going to have me make them a Space Modulator in high-end Bidwell Walnut.. that should be fun, I'll post pictures if they allow.

Had a handful of people who happened to be driving thru NorCal stop by to pick pieces up and visit for a bit which is always nice. Any of you Dogs who are ever in the area and want to visit are more than welcome just let me know, my only requirement is that you don't be an axe murderer, grouchy or a crazy stalker or anything since we're still running out of our humble home shop. :brow:

On the subjects of shops we're still working on moving to a larger/nicer location but it's going pretty slowly. We did raise some funds towards that goal with help from the Holiday Sale but in the end only brought in about 10% of what we need to change shops. We'll keep on plugging away and do it the slow way no worries.

Once we do manage to get into a larger space we'll be having an UD get together for any of you who are interested. Food, vapor, live music, the works. We'll also have the ability to once again run workshops for people interested in coming in and making their own Dog(s). More on all that later, getting ahead of myself here a bit lol.

Alright enough for now, I'll let you all get back to your regularly scheduled programs.. :peace:

Which accessories do you guys recommend? Will I be safe using the standard power supply with an extension cord, or will I need a VVPS? What's the difference between getting a screen kit vs a screen insertion tool?

I know you're probably looking for independent suggestions but I'll chime in anyways..

For most people the standard power supply is fine, though some people find it runs a little too hot (too close to combustion) and like to add an extension to drop the voltage a little bit. That being said a VVPS is really great to have as you can dial in just the right temp for any given usage.

If you're looking for a VVPS I'd suggest looking at CentiZens mini-VVPS kit it's by far the best VVPS solution I've used to date (after trying literally hundreds of different ones): http://vapepower.ca/product/mini-vvps-bundle-std/

The Screen Kit on the site needs to be revised to allow for the selection of different kinds of screens but generally speaking is just a quick/cheap/easy way of getting a variety of screens to go with your stems. Now that we've condensed our stem offerings to just a few types that only use a couple different screens it's less handy to be honest.

The Insertion tool is really just for legacy silicone stems and makes putting screens in those much easier but is really only useful for that purpose.

Hi all - I'm new to the dog park here but I've just ordered my pup and have a few questions.
link - http://underdogvapes.com/16025?search=black walnut

I've heard the twig runs hotter than the larger models? Can someone confirm this?

Does anyone's pup rattle? Does the core loosen over time? If you give it a shake does the core move at all?

How is the heat retention? Can you unplug your pup, take a hit, then put it down and plug it back in?

Thanks all! Clearly these aren't serious concerns, as I've already ordered mine.

Beautiful pup! You'll love it. I think they (twigs) just warm up faster. No rattle whatsoever. Mines too new to say if it WILL rattle.. I've never tried hitting it unplugged. Someone else may chime in.
