@swanky sounds like a bad top bro. I'd submit a ticket on the site. It sucks you got a bad one, but at least their customer service is great.

@ataxian I only have an sr71, but if you are using both coils it should be the same as my cut coil. So .3 to prime, and after melt in .2 to .3 to vape

I've fucking had it!

Where did the open a ticket function go on w9tech.com?
Called during normal business hours, no answer, can't leave a message!
Why am I even calling? My nibbler xl I got I haven't been able to use once! First they don't send any orings, then they send 2 instead of 3 (got a spare okeanos oring I think though, don't own one) and it's entirely pointless because the nibbler is so loose it doesn't seal at all!
Sick of the fanboys talking shit about customer service that is obviously lacking. I'm willing to drive there and show them the blatantly obvious problem with what they sold me, but I'm more inclined to call my credit card for a chargeback at this point.
@THCscientific WTF!?!

What part of the nibbler is loose? As for the submit a ticket it's on the website and has not gone anywhere.

Gary my friend, I'm having to use my phone at the moment rather than a bona fide computer, so that may be the issue with opening ticket.
I've had it with the nibbler. It doesn't seal against hercules case at all. I've been to Lowes 3x and bought every size oring and they're either too big or small. Ones you guys sent, too small.
At my wits end with it. I'll come show you Monday if need be.
Hercules 74 ceramic rod keeps slipping too, have to adjust it every session. Can't believe it has a threaded cap to oil chamber either, requires blowtorch, pliers and weekly cleaning to access. Fucking great when it works though.
Back to nibbler, either it takes specialty orings that I have never received or glass tube is slightly too big. Painfully obvious it'll never work in current state.

My NXL was like that too.....I used a 906 s70 oring on the top and it fixed it right up....still searching for a black solution...

Bring everything on Monday I'll get you straight and fix all your issues. Make sure you clean the Herc so that I can work on it.

when opening the threaded cap to the oil chamber, if you hold the button down for 10-20 second it should come off fairly easy.

I just finished my Tahoe OG! Lol

Well like I said I only have an sr71 and thats how I load...if you're using one ti coil you may want less. Idk I havent seen the consistancy of your wax. But as a rule its .2 prime and .3 load for me on a 50% ss coil.

So another night playing with the Hercules! So, yesterday I was saying how my batteries kept dying really fast, well I was wrong. What's happening is that for some reason the Herc loses contact and doesn't heat. If I unscrew it a little and then tighten it, it's fine. Last night it lasted ALL night until I passed out and was still hitting this morning!

So, is this "normal"? Or maybe it's the way the Herc was assembled? Maybe it needs an ISO soak already?

Speaking of that, do you also soak the coil when cleaning the unit?

EDIT: So, after typing this I couldn't get it to heat up again. I took it apart and there was oil that got down into the second chamber. I guess that was causing the spring-loaded pin to get gunked up and not make a connection. I guess I need another coil in there!

I'm soaking it in ISO now- everything except the tank/coil since it still has a bunch of nice oil in it.

Gotta say, I am loving this thing
mine constantly needs to be adjusted, after some time the rod somehow loses contact with the bottom chamber. This has prevented me from even using the herc sleeve, as when I screw in the top mouth piece into the sleeve it somehow over tightens and pushes the rod of place. Any tips on how to keep the rod in place? nothing more annoying than having to keep adjusting the rod as it's covered in gooey goodness

also I noticed that if I heat my rod while tightening it has a higher chance of staying in contact with the lower chamber. One of the most annoying things is when the chambers are stuck together and your rod won't heat up. I've ran about 10 grams through it though and I'm loving it besides having to adjust the rod all the time

Yea, when I put it back together after the ISO soak, it didn't work. Turns out the rod wasn't making contact. I pushed the rod out a bit more and now it's fine. I was just telling my wife that the more I mess with it and think it's broken, the more I learn about it! She thinks I'm nuts, but yea...

I got my Nibbler XL the other day and at first it was frustrating the hell out of me. I would hit the Herc without the NXL and get milky clouds, then I'd slip the NXL on and get whispy weak clouds! It was like a magic trick that made clouds disappear. Eventually I realized what was happening. The orange O-rings that came with the NXL are actually not all the same thickness. The diameter was the same but the gauge of the rubber was a little thinner on one. I had put this thinner o-ring on the mouthpiece and it wasn't sealing to the NXL. Once I swapped the o-ring for a thicker one it solved everything! I just figured I'd share in case anyone else had a similar issue. Now to Lowe's to look for extra o-rings.

As for some of you guys having issues with the rod pushing in, I eventually started using a tiny pair of needle nose pliers to tighten the retaining collar to avoid this problem. My fingers are too fat to tighten it by hand. It solved this issue for me.
