Underdog Log Vapes

The only thing I would really add is that I personally would think twice about using my Dog just for aromatherapy as all those hours of aroma use are going to be subtracted from the Dogs lifespan. :2c:
I normally use my pup for aromatherapy when people are going to be coming over, but my UD is on 24/7 anyway.

Normal days I tend to just use candle warmers for the aromacups.

You should be able to find these at your local Walmart for 5-10 dollars, I bought four for 2 dollars when they were on clearance.

But I understand not all of us have a local Walmart with products in stock,

@iVapeTooMuch Highly recommend getting a peppermint or cinnamon oil to add as those are very strong and can cover smells quickly.

Thanks underdog and paytonpenn and the person who first replied to my post :)

My thought process to buying a UD now and not in a few months is that I really like the Two Faced Red Elm and the Rustic Streaked Hackberry Twig and they might not be there in a few months. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush though.

I could always buy one now and not use it but that's no fun :)

After being unable to consume for the past eight months (and the next four months) due to drug tests, I can't wait to purchase an Underdog!
I'm thinking of buying one now and using it for aromatherapy until I am able to use it worry free :)

My questions are how strong would the smell of the lemon and orange essential oils be in a room that's about 10' x 12'? How often would I have to replace the copper cups? And I believe I already know the answer to this, but there will be no residual tastes of the essential oils when I start using the unit for herb, correct?

Thank you in advance for the replies :)

The lemon, orange (and other citrus) oils have a fairly subdued smell so it would probably be detectable but not overpowering. The copper cups will last 'forever', I rarely even clean mine but have a dedicated one for each oil I might use. As someone else noted you can mix the oil with beeswax to make the oil last longer at the expense of a slightly less intense odor. Also as noted unless you spilled some of the contents of a aromacup down into the Dog there won't be any odor lingering on the vape.

The only thing I would really add is that I personally would think twice about using my Dog just for aromatherapy as all those hours of aroma use are going to be subtracted from the Dogs lifespan. :2c:

@ Rude Boy - glad you're enjoying the Pup man..

Gotcha, that makes sense. If you like them both you could always buy them as a set, every Dog should have a friend, I'll make you a deal. :brow:

When I bought my UD in a birthday sale I knew I wouldn't have been able you use it for a while but I couldn't pass up on a chance for an UD. So happy I got it when I did, I even was lucky enough to get a unique piece that wasn't a plain ash cylinder too. Even though I couldn't enjoy the tasty usuals I got much pleasure testing cloud production with Balancing Bleus for a few months.

I definitely could buy them as a set, but I set aside a certain amount of money I could use for my vaping utensils.

How does the smell of the essential oils compare to incense? I know it will be much better, but I need to be able to justify the purchase to my mom

@peytonpenn, that does look intriguing. I might pick some up when I fully decide when to get my unit

There's an 'a' in there, I'm not one of those Payton's that likes to be referred to with an 'e', but..

For balancing bleus, it's nice they are inexpensive but I personally don't recommend them; I honestly wish I got Feelin Fine, but my main issue was being disgusted by how all of the plants look and it looks more sickening when ground.

Taste was okay and I do have good memories of when I did use them.

Incense burn my eyes and make them irritated as soon as I walk the in room, there have been some higher quality ones that don't cause this issue but some people only go with what they're used to.

Oils do emit light vapor but my aromacup is less than 3 feet from my face whenever I'm home and no issues. Also no consistent cleaning of ash, I'm not going to make this post about my families poor incense usage but I also find aromacups to be less of a hazard.

Smell is cleaner (pure), you can combine scents, and you'll save alot of money not buying incense.

Also aromatherapy is just great in general, there are many recipes in mixing essential oils to help you in many ways.

What's the price range difference? I'd probably be willing to pay :)

The B&W Ebony pieces will be $275+ depending on the grade of the wood. That would include custom work.

@Buildozer The car adapter is just a straight-through 12v adapter - no transformer or anything. Do note that the car adapters will output different voltages depending on what your car is outputting. So just make sure to pay attention in case it's running too hot. So yes, you can pick up any adapter that's just a regular, non-transformed, adapter.

Thats a 4 cell QIDIAN Mobile Power Bank. There are 2, 5 and 6 cell versions of it as well. You can get them on Fasttech and various other China direct sites for around 25$ without batteries. They have a variable voltage output, but from my testing I've found it's not very reliable and fluctuates up to a volt depending on the state of the batteries. Perfect for pairing with a voltage regulator though. The LCD does double duty as a voltage adjustment and capacity display.

It also can charge the batteries from USB power supplies like the ones included, though it takes a little while. With my 3400mAh cells it can take over 12 hours, but it runs for nearly 5h so I guess that's a worthwhile tradeoff.

Just a quick update from the shop:

A few of you out there have been asking a picture of what a worn out Purple Days looks like, I think specifically when they're beyond repair (within reason) and I just came across one so figured I'd oblige. This one, IIRC, is Cherry and was run 2-3 years 24/7 on the standard PD wall-wart. Obviously doesn't have 3 halves - just a little Photoshop so you can see different angles.

The answer to that is yes, sort of. In fact it's funny the topic comes up now because I just finished off testing of the latest prototype this morning. I've come to be quite happy with it. For this first model I wanted to focus on size and portability, so I am using a 3 cell power bank as a platform with the same technology as my Solo batteries to make a very high performance, yet pocket-able battery. Here is a picture of it beside one of the miniVVPS cases for reference:

ps5oqK5.png

It's got a couple extra features, such as the capacity display and there is an extra USB port on there you can use to charge phones or other devices with. The batteries they came with were kind of low quality and would last about an hour and a half when run at 13.5v. After upgrading them, I'm getting much better results, this latest test just ran for 3h and 21m at 13.5v the whole time.

After getting some of these out to users, I'm going to start focusing on a 5 or 6 cell solution for long term trips and festivals, things of that sort.

Havent quite come to a conclusion on that since I'm trying to find a cheaper source of the cases that I don't need to buy with batteries. At the moment these would cost around 65 - 70 dollars for a complete package with a charger and cords, but I'm hoping I can offer them for less soon.

Centizen will you need the vvps to use the battery pack or will it be just the battery pack and a cord ?

Either way I'm in for both in a month or two.

Would these work:

http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/...34-x-18650-batteries-holder-case-box-mobile-p

@Buildozer it displays the battery level unless you click the button then it switches to the voltage setting for a couple of seconds.

I'm at 2 hours and 10 minutes and I've got 56% battery life left using 4 ntc18650b batteries. I've been watching the voltage using my fluke multimeter every half hour or so and the output voltage has been at 12.71 (which is just about perfect for me) the entire time and the battery pack has been set at 13.0 volts.

NTC18560B? I'm not familiar with those. Could you link me to them?
