Discontinued Epicvape EV-1/EV-2

It's one guy doing everything dude - not only does he design and make the vapes, he has to keep up with forums, answer inquiries, ship units, maintain the website, and you know, live life. I think I read somewhere that this isn't even Andy's dayjob. I don't think you should count the lack of cross-browser compatibility against him, and certainly not against the nano itself.

Figured it out!!!! I'm in the club. This is my first vaporizer purchase and I can not wait.

For some reason I was able to see the maple version separate from the other version on my cell phone. So for some weird reason there is a difference, but this is only if you are viewing the website as a guest.

If you are using your pc, you first have to create an account. Once you do this you will see the separate maple option to choose from just like you would using your cell phone.

I hope this helps anyone still trying to get in on this awesome deal.

Thanks to @bubbha ho-tep for the inspiration to figure this out:)

Hell ya! glad you figured that out! Now we just gotta wait! Cant wait to get my hands on that wood. Lol

This is exactly what i meant by jumping through hoops. No longer interested in one of these if this is the way things are run. I can just imagine if there was a problem with the unit and the the damned nightmare that would ensue. Enjoy whatcha got guys and gals. The grief of resetting my pc, firefox, IE, trying my laptop and ipad to no avail, etc....thinking it was my problem. After trying to get one of these all damned day, would make me look at that device with anger and i doubt id use it. Yes, i am an odd, sick duck. I know this.

Nope. The service for repairs and troubleshooting is the best I have ever received, for anything I have ever bought. Ever! Andy helped me from the other side of the world to isolate the problem, and he is sending out the replacement part to me now express. I have seen the inner workings of his other product, the E-Nano, and it is as elegant as a zippo lighter internally speaking.

These are incredible pieces of work, from a very knowledgeable and helpful manufacturer who gives this board discounts just because we are members!

Andy has been giving things away from the start of my purchase, he gave me a free upgrade to the exotic Nano I originally wanted but couldn't afford at the time. I have no financial or business interests in Epic Vape products, but I think it's only fair to make sure that I let people know how good the service has been. A one day wait from a one-man business is not unreasonable for an email response, I have had far worse from far bigger businesses many times! Especially given that he is updating his website right now (we all know how hard liaising with tech people can sometimes be!). Seriously, don't be turned off by the nature of the business, it is a class operation!

Edit: I should highlight that the damage to my unit was entirely my fault, I connected a 120V E-Nano to a 240V outlet!

Andy is a busy guy ... he works a normal day job on top of making these awesome vapes for us. He does always respond to emails and pms here asap. I am a new customer but many many people swear by his customer service ... hoping I never need it but I know it's there if I do.

Give him a chance. 24 - 48 hours is not a long time to wait to hear back a big corporate company ... let alone a one man gig.

If anything, I'm glad that it's not a big corporate company - no phone trees, no being put on hold for an hour of "your calls will be answered in priority sequence, please stay on the line" just to speak to a low level employee that asks "did you try turning it off and on again?". You're able to get in touch directly with the guy who designed and made the device, someone that knows the product top to bottom, in and out. I don't think I own anything I can say that about...

Andy is an awesome guy. All my questions got answerd in about 24 hours and my order was shipped to me in under 7 days from the U.S. to europe. The service was by miles faster and better than what I've seen from the 2 other vape companies I've dealt with so far. His page is wonky, no question about that. But I rather deal with a wonky site and sort the details out in direct communication than pay premium for the product so he can afford a professional web designer.

@PNWMMJ Have you tried the Epicvape web store today. I picked up a cherry EV2 last night at around midnight EST after it was showing "Out of Stock" for a day or two. I would much rather wait for when their actually in stock before I pay for one. Since epicvape only produces a handful or two of vapes a month You have to get 'em when they are ready. Some people are waiting over a year for other Log vapes they order... True Art takes time !

"Good things come to those who wait." Or so I've been told.

Sorry for the trouble guys. Two things:
1) I know my website sux. It's being completely revamped and has going down sporadically during the day.
I'm trying to update Opencart from 1.5.1 to 1.5.6 and it's a nightmare. (Any open cart experts out there?)
2) I don't make the EV-2 anymore. I'm trying to keep a few around for people with future warranty issues. I put up a few on the site at a time and when they sell you can't put them in your cart. I can't monitor the banner as easily (one of the reasons I'm changing the site.)
Thank you for your patience.

Really, the website scared you off?
If that is the case then you have no experience at all,
with either the vape or the maker.

Of course I don't have experience with the vape ya rocket surgeon, how can I when one is having troubles at the site of purchase? Brilliant thought process there, thanks for your more than obtuse viewpoint.

I will say this about Andy, he was more than forthright and apologetic about the issues I had yesterday in the email I late last night.

Much more than some of the people in this thread. You'd think I killed some of your firstborns. I didn't attack anybody here and was critical about the website and purchasing process being a nightmare and not working. Again, not a lie and was stating my experience with the process. Andy stated as such in this thread.

Can I just humbly add here that whilst PNWMMJ was clearly impolite and derogatory in the quoted response, that we more frequent users probably shouldn't antagonize someone who gets frustrated by a website, even if we know the vendor themselves are incredible. Sure, the video's gave us all a vaped chuckle, but this is/was a potential customer of an EV product, and the best way to support Andy's work is to make his potential customers feel included - whether we agree with their comments or not.

Of course, I am not a moderator, take this with a pinch of salt - but I think we need to make sure that when we have fun, that we don't have fun at someone else's expense! Especially when we don't know what effect that might have on vendor's (who dedicate their time to come here and work so closely with us!) business as a result of these shenanigans).

I have had plenty of contact with a number of the posters I am talking about in this thread, you are all good dudes, but can we just try to keep this consideration in mind? :)

Good point.
My previous post was in the vein of good-natured teasing, but I can see how it may have contributed to PNWMJ's frustration with the slightly-dysfunctional website. If so I apologise.
