My solo was left in the rain and no longer turns on. When plugged in with charger it lights up so it's not completely dead.

Do I blow dry or dump it in a bag of rice?

DOOM,

Only thing I don't like about re-vaping is the last sessions will give me horrible couch-lock, not much euphoria at all just pure tiredness and feeling like greening out...Instead of baked I feel more like torched:whoa:

I've noticed this too and I need a higher temperature to get any vapour from ABV.
I'm guessing it's because most of the more easily volatile components such as THC are mostly gone from ABV and you're dosing up on CBD and other less easily vaporised material which tends to be sedative - which is exactly what some people want for medical purposes.
I prefer the more energising psycoachtive lower temperature volatiles from the first few hits so I think I need to find someone who wants all my CBD rich ABV for those sedative effects.
Reminds me of "Jack Sprat would eat no fat..." etc

Ouch.
First thing is it got wet, not good. I hate to say that when ever electronics get wet. NEVER turn ON, or attempt to. Needs to be completely dried out.
You might be lucky. First thing is to carefully remove the bottom 4 screws and take out the main unit.
Open battery case and remove the battery. Some shaking at this point might reveal some water drops. Get as dry as possible and can use a hair drier for this.
Follow up with a couple hours in the oven at lowest setting. 125-150 degrees?
Now you can re-assemble and cross your fingers.
Good luck.

Take a small screwdriver and undue the 4 tiny screws at the bottom, then unplug+remove battery. Unscrew the top cap. Now leave everything to dry (I left everything in the sun for a day). Dont try turning it on until its dry if you want a chance at bringing it back to life.

Over the past little while I've had a few people contact me about water damaged solos, and they can usually be recovered after they have been carefully dried out like @Pipes described above. However, unless you get the battery dry within a few hours of it first getting soaked; it's usually dead. Do you have access to an electronic multimeter by chance?

Standard High Efficiency or standard standard? Do you have a favorite?
Definitely the turbo (high efficiency). The drag on the solo is more than I like and the turbo makes it much more manageable. I can make my recycler function easily with it.

I thi k a standard non HE gong is the only kind I havent tried yet. Oh that and a non-shorty turbo.
I have a 14mm standard non HE and as soon as PV has them again I'm going to order a 14mm turbo shorty, the standard limits the draw a lot.

I like the standard stems. You have more control as far as rocking the stem while your inhaling. A little to the left, little to the right move it all around....to your delight? Sorry I know ...lame.
I'm waiting for PV to even get the standard straits in stock. Ebay prices are too high with the shipping and all. Thinking of getting 2 or 3. They do have their mishaps.
Anyone know a different source that has a fair price for Canucks?
TIA

That site has everything. Nice find. I think I even see a Pax heater there....

:peace:

I'd say there's a good chance it is the source from that pic. Wish they would sell one or two. Could have a hay day....
Shows how they make something to a customer's spec and sell to others as well. Should be part of the condition of sale you'd think.

Fuck... I said Pax, but I meant Ascent. Too many model names combined with too much herbage seems to do that to me.

In any case, this is the Solo thread..... pardon the interruption.... nothing to see here.

Loading a Solo stem as I type this as penance for my sin of thread derailment. It may be Ash Wednesday tomorrow, but tonight it's all about ABV Tuesday.

:peace:

Vaporizers.ca is fair. $4 shipping

Just slightly OT, but... I've been looking to make my cleaning area more glass-friendly and on the lookout for rubber mats / sink liners / etc along the lines of what I'm staring at behind that nice piece. What is it / where from? :)
