How often are you all refilling?
The included torch in my kit does not last me a full day, but will get me through the most of the afternoon until I get home. Mine starts dying down around 7-8pm, I top off in the mornings before leaving.

Is there a way to get more butane inside the torch's tank? Mine stops filling at about 3/4 full.

How many refills can I expect to get off a 300ml/ 10.1oz Iolite tank?

@ataxian I think those bigger torch are too much. That " center cup " on the plate is pretty small. Would have to see how they operate. I have some kind of similar torch, I'll give a try but I was already thinking the flame is too wide.
Try the last link rekrab posted. Xing from Dx or Honest are just operating correctly. Like @jambandphan03 said pages ago, sometimes the flame is getting just a bit longer and more powerful for a fraction of second. But I don't find it to be annoying if acting in consequence : you put the flame at distance to not get the center red and when it will increase suddenly, the plate will get a bit red and give a pulse to the heat, which is not that bad for big ones !

@VapeNStone
Hooooo was talking about that pages ago..Contacted them and they can't ship here. My intent was a custom cause the center plate wouldn't be visible nicely with those adapters imo. Still waiting answer from another blower. But if they are willing to do custom, would be awesome for some of you to send it overseas . I posted only few pages ago what kind of custom pictured with adapter to give an idea ... Or better even if some EU Lotus Cullender are interest, we could make a group buy.

This $5.00 knock off called power I will give a try today.

I hate not to achieve the same results as the experts do!

The LOTUS is most likely fine.
It's the operator!

edit: ended up using the red one!

I'm in the same boat. Still in the first week.
I'm definitely getting very medicated from the Lotus.
I'd say if I put the same amount in my Solo, Vaporgenie, and Lotus, I would definitely get the most baked from the Lotus. It extracts the most goodies. Although, I do have some trouble knowing how long to let the orange dot glow for. I've probably been able to get bigger rips off my Solo. But that's because I need more time getting the technique down. I got some charred pieces on my first bowl, so I've been a little hesitant with the last few bowls.

Took me a while however I got the LOTUS to work well with changing the fire source.

It's a quick dose apparatus!
The SOLO's I will continue to operate however I will add the LOTUS in to my daily routine!

F^&k'n lighters!

My technique is lousy at best, but I am starting to get better with it. I still get a few dark spots during a vape but it is less often. While anyone can get a huge rip, there is a learning curve for getting it right.

In spite of the inconsistency of vaping with a butane lighter, I so very much appreciate the ability to be off the grid vaping without electric power. I am about to go camping for a week and this is going to be priceless.

A few questions for a poll:
-How long does one fill of the butane lighter last you?
-How long does one butane tank (300ml/ 10oz) last you?

As a new lotus operator myself I think I've got to grips with it quite quickly. My approach has been to fill half to three quarters, and position my tongue just in front of the end of the pipe. *Slowly* heat for around 5 seconds until you see a little red, then start drawing. You should feel a warm stream of vapor against your tongue. It should not be hot. You want to maintain this warmth by adjusting your inhalation and/or lighter position. Circling the hot plate, or pulling away and gently licking the hot plate with the flame I find are the best for controlling heat. Draw for 5-10 seconds depending on how big a hit you want. Exhale.

For me at least this provides beautiful hits every time. I've also found that applying a lot less heat on the first draw rewards you with a really flavourful hit. Of course just not as cloudy as a standard hit but the flavour makes for a wonderful welcome to the bowl :)

I was doing a few thing wrong despite the torch ligher factor.
I found that 3/4 bowls are better than completely full ones.
Changing my lighter was a huge factor.

I like the LOTUS and the taste is very good!

Effect wise it gets me very medicated.

I don't really keep track but I'd say a full lighter tank lasts for ~week. This is mostly just between my roommate and I. Not sure how long a 300ml can would last, but if you estimate the tank holds 10ml, you're good for ~30 fillings.

I think many would agree and IMO any part of the plate glowing is a false operating announcing overheating for plate obtained by too much heat from torch or too much airflow hence heat running out from equilibrium.

The solutions could be more preheat and less airflow to have high temp point of equilibrium or put the flame more far away from plate.

I am learning to dance with the Lotus, but still getting a pretty uneven vape.
Huge rips, but borderline combustion. Any tips or advice?

I have found it does help to spin the wooden top back and forth during a draw, it does help give me a more even and consistent draw. I am a heavy hitter, and having trouble getting more than 2 pulls without over-toasting my buds.

I find the LOTUS to be very powerful and takes some manual skills to operate.
Then again automatic transmissions are easier to drive. Manual transmissions take more effort.

For a analog device it works.
Takes some practice for some people.
I like it and will use it however I'm too lazy to have it be my main driver. It does have very good flavor and will get you beyond medication.
Glad to have one!

Just lower the flame a bit or increase the flame distance from the hot plate... :)
