Discontinued The Herbalizer

lazylathe

Almost there...
Forgive the questions, Lazylathe. I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to this sort of things. Will the Evo mouthpiece work on the Herbie without modification? Did you stick something on the end to make it fit Herbie's bowl?

No worries!!!
I used a bit of silicone tubing that fits over the barb and snugly inside the glass mouthpiece. Works really well!

Does anyone know what Herbalizer's flat rate is through? USPS priority?

Edit:Most likely a better question for Sheila, sorry.

My 10-14mm adapter came in today from mtn. glass, but it doesn't come close to fitting :uhh:
So this is the best I can do for now, it works great with the swaggertube

Herbie's a bit dirty in this pic, apologies!

@grokit - If you are still interested in pursuing this, check out the 10/14 adapter I linked a while back from oregonglassblower on ebay. It is quite a bit more expensive than the ones you found but mine fits the barbed end of the adapter really well.

How are you connecting, into the airpath?

The narrow part of the gong buts right up to herbie's bowl connection, it doesn't fit inside or out. At first I was a bit disappointed in this, but then I realized that with the ssv tubing connecting the two that the tubing wasn't really in the vapor path, and that the connection is somewhat flexible which is good for me because where I have it set up I have to lean forward a bit to hit it with a ht. The flexibility of this adapter combined with the bend of the swagger mouthpiece accommodates this quite well.

Okay here's what I don't get: how is a 10mm adapter gonna fit on a 12mm wide outlet?

@grokit, I think he meant the 10 mm goes in side of it. Edit:nevermind
At 12.09 mm, some 19mm male joints may fit over it, the inside of my evo is 11.92.
One thing to keep in mind when using ground joints with non ground glass connections is that every joint is slightly different, so 2 of the same joints from the same blower may not fit the same.

D'oh !

@havealight101, that's interesting but not quite it.
I'll post another pic soon...

here ya go:

10-14 adapter

with both 10-14 and 14-18 mm adapters

Now I don't know which way I will like better;
if I wasn't bone fucking dry I could compare the two setups!

Does the 10 mm joint restrict the draw anymore than the herbie itself?

@mvapes - That piece is interesting, looks much shorter than all those tubes I have seen. Was it modified? I have the chandelier version and really like it with Herbie, but mine is so much taller.

One thought:

Although not good for a lot of weight, the ballon mouth piece does just about perfectly fit an 18mm adapter. (An O-ring would help a tad to keep the end from dropping entirely in.)

Thanks to @lazylathe for introducing me to Herbie yesterday! Didn't spend alot of time with it but wow what a piece of technology! More testing is required before I bring forth any thoughts, but the common theme has been smaller clouds but very nice effect. The taste was incredible!

I had a great session Saturday night with a couple of family members. I went straight for the gold by doing bags on 440 right from the beginning. three bowls almost full took care of us for the whole night. Vapor was thick, potent and knocking me and my smokers on their asses. I hadn't been that high in ages.

Herbie is going to force us all to think differently and learn a lot about vapor. My paradigm is officially shattered!

So I got this thing hooked up to the HTs. My original Cloud HT is in an ISO soak and will be available later. But I used my PNP WT with it and all I can say is... 'whoooof.' Smoother, tastier, and maybe even stronger, as I am rocked. I had a 14mm gong to a glass tube end that I slipped into some silicone, which I in turn slipped on the outside of the bowl stem. So it's nothing but glass after the bowl. I don't know when I will ever pull out that whip again!
