I sadly just broke both GonG stems that came with my dog.. :/ Gonna have to order some new ones soon. Quick question for any of you GonG users, I'm thinking of buying a new glass piece for the dog and was wondering if a bong is preferred over a bubbler for vaping, or other way around? Also, I've read a lot about sort of the air-vape ratio or something like that.... so, is smaller the piece the better? BTW, I love vaping with my bong, the hits are much smoother, though the taste is a tad sacrificed IMO. Favorite taste has easily been through the direct draw. Everyday I look at my pup and admire her... she seems innocent but she definitely can bite ;)

I think water tools are all personal preference.

But for what it's worth I like a highly diffused, small chamber bubbler. But if my lungs could handle it I would go with less diffusion for the added flavor.

Received my dog a few days ago. Unfortunately, it's been sitting on a shelf since then, because I am lacking the preferred plant material until this weekend. Figures, the first gap in plant material possession in months, and it happens the week I get my UD... :(
I have shown the doggie some TLC in the meantime by rubbin some of that "underbutter" on it. (I feel I should follow with "Is that what she said?").

The contents of the box were packed intelligently. Which is good, because said box went through some violent shit to get to my neck of the woods (good ol' careful USPS!). I am very appreciative of the extra goodies that were in it! Thank you, Dave!!

The unit itself is made very well. Solid. Light as a feather though, which surprised me. I cannot wait to try it out. Everything else looks great! I will post initial usage impressions and pics this weekend, assuming there are no hiccups in my intended acquirement. So far, with everything up to this point, I am very pleased. :)

Hey everyone our internet (a large part of NorCal AT&T) was out yesterday and most of today so we weren't able to answer emails/messages and we were not able to ship any packages today. Everything should go out tomorrow though so no worries your Dogs are on their way. Thanks for your patience! :peace:


@ dklkse - glad your Pup arrived safe despite the beating the package took.. we do our best to pack them well, looks like it worked out. ;-) Hope you get a chance to play with it soon. That particular wood is indeed crazy light, let us know how it holds up over time if you remember.

Happy Weekend UDs! We just got finished putting up some DIY stuff on the website -- resistors, mono plugs, etc. If there's any other DIY stuff that you'd like to see up there, let us know and we'll work on getting that up as well.

Side note, sometimes I like to check on Underdog in the shop to see what he's up to when he's not expecting me to come peeking around, and I caught him with a stack of Black and White Ebony that surely wasn't in his wood budget for this quarter! But I suppose what makes the accountant sigh, makes you guys happy happy UDs!

I was loving using the vinyl stem through water but it was a little awkward to use because of the length so I took the ss tip out of one of em and used some high temp silicone to make this ...

I like filling the bowl and then dropping a chunk of wax on top for a quick, tasty underdog dab.

Edit: said vinyl stem ... meant nylon :doh:

Hey All you DogPeople I broke down and picked up a UD from the FC classifieds. Time to stop trying out portables for a while. Its a classic core UD so I wanted to ask what stems from other vapes will work with the Underdog. I have a bunch of stems(simple glass,silicone and gongs and a wong) on the way with the UD and a few new ones, But wanted to know about custom glass stems or HI type wood roasting tubes.

I really like the look of the nylon stems but they won't work with the model I'm getting. maybe a few years down the line a heater core update may change that, for now no nylon though.

To be honest the ability to do tiny amounts is what I like most, I would rather do 12 stems to vape a gram then vaping it all in one chamber/session. I love the action and ritual of sitting back, putting on Jams and spending a few hours getting right.

This is how I use my gong, my screen is almost touching the core, but I do use CentiZen's VVPS. I imagine combustion would probably happen with the plain wallmart plug.
I use my GonG for direct draw too, I haven't used silicone stems since I've got my GonG.
I also have chillum for unground herb or concentrates.

If i go unground, i use my nylon stem. One really good tasting hit.. Then if i want, throw it in my LB but usually dont need to

Paytonpenn what do you believe is the easiest way to do unground bud in the underdog ? In the hammer I just pull off a piece of bud make a small ball out of it and push it to the bottom of a lock on bowl, great taste(close to the vapo 2). figured it would be the same process with the UD but thought I'd ask anyways.

I just don't put it in a ball.
