Update for G1 Betas. It seems they are upgrading the body of the G1 to the Infinity series body. I think that is good, that way they can get them out for us betas to start testing. I hope they find a good solution with there shipping issue soon. It looks as if the water pipe I ordered will arrive tomorrow. So I hope the G1 comes soon too.

Hey Mister G - this might be a little late. I get the feeling you may have already pulled the trigger. I saw your message on the Versa forum about cheaper models being found on e-bay. I have been doing a bit of research as well and found the e-bay prices were probably better than the Chinese sites and the choices seem better as well.

I'm certainly not even close to being an expert as I only picked up my own hookah pipe 6 days ago. However, I have been doing some research. I chose mine fairly quickly and did not put much thought in to it. I'm now planning on upgrading already. I really dislike my whip. It is cheap stainless steel at one end and crappy wood on the other. God only knows what the tubing is made of. It functions well but I don't think it will be pleasing to me in the long-term.

I have been doing some research on hookahs and have found that there are some beautiful high end glass models available. They are not cheap but they are beautiful. I have found some of the top brands include Roi, LaVoo, Fumo, Evolution and Lust. Many people seem to think Roi is a good brand. The products seems to include ground glass on glass connections and the mouth-tip is also glass. I am close to pulling the trigger on this bad boy from Roi;

or possibly this one from LaVoo;

My biggest concern is whether or not Versa's hookah attachment will fit. It would be a very expensive mistake to make.

Last night I had a couple of nice bowls with my bubbler. Very nice. Switched to the hookah and found that .2 really gave me quite a long relaxing session. It was a nice mix of sipping, smaller hits and a few giant hits.

I am thinking a beautiful glass hookah is going to make the Infinity a great session vape.

Thanks for the warning, I haven't bought anything yet, but not sure I'm ready to plunk down the big bucks. I may go for the twelve dollar one on amazon, little risk there to try it.

Sounds like a plan Mister G. I actually liked the look of the other one you posted too. I like the idea of glass or even plastic mouthpieces. I guess one could always keep the base of the hookah and add a nicer hose at a later point??

On a side note, I think I have developed GAS. None of my pieces are expensive as yet but I can really see the Infinity and a high end glass hookah becoming my go to set up. I know I don't need it but I can't convince myself otherwise. Yowser!!

That's cool, I was a bit concerned about the date and was actually thinking of suggesting that.
In fact I was about to inquire about a G1 update, so thanks!
I thought I had seen images of the smaller G1 body though, that's why I didn't make that suggestion, and why I'm a bit surprised.
Overall:popcorn:!

I can't comment on the Lavoo, but the Roi Beast has extremely thin glass. I would advise against it.

Hookah vaping seems like an all new frontier, are there any hookah threads here on FC or is Versa the first product to allow it?

May be thin glass but I do like the looks of the piece, I could really go for a "modern" and all-glass hookah, Mr. Gweilo has good taste in that respect. Yeah, I don't know if the Versa adapter works with this though:

For good measure, here's a pic of the Lavoo, another cool modern hookah design:

Well I have pulled the trigger guys. I ordered the Roi Beast Hookah with a Roi bowl adapter. I sure as hell hope it fits. That is the model in the first picture that Mr. G has posted above. Man, the Infinity is going to look mighty fine paired with that thing. Two beasts together!!

Actually I was wondering the same questions as Mr. G. Has this vaporizer/hookah thing been done before Versa? I must admit I was totally unenthused when I first heard about it. It just seemed like a novelty to me to be honest. I imagine a lot of people may think the same thing and not pay it much attention. Honestly, I've always looked at hookah pipes as "almost bongs". Often in places where I have lived bongs are illegal and hard to find. Yet I always seem to find a hookah pipe somewhere. I never was able to find a use for one to be honest. In the past I combusted so much weed and tobacco that I never really considered combusting sheesha as well.

I think I might start a thread in either the glass or ask FC sections and see if other members have any experience to share.

damn, just got an email saying it has already been shipped. Alright, alright, alright!

Hopefully this isn't a big deal, but my password no longer works for the versa forum.
I went through the lost password thing and never got the email that it says it sent.
And Versa hasn't posted anything at all in over a week so I'm getting officially concerned.

@1_gr8_underdog, you were evidently in communication with them recently,
why haven't they posted anywhere regarding this new info on the G1?

mate Chris was on there yesterday. He replied to ZC about his unit and a couple of other things :)

Awesome when I saw the pic of the roi, I also thought about how well an infinity would match with it. Really hope the adapter fits but I'm a bit skeptical from that pic. Regardless you may be able to rig it, people here have gotten worse things figured out. Actually the joint on top looks like you could maybe use the standard versa bowl

I went the opposite direction and got a $12 hookah on amazon. At least it's small size which @klipsch Mentioned is better for vaping. But I don't yet have the versa adapter.:uhoh::ninja:

My WP-010 arrived yesterday. I love it. It is very thick. I used it with another piece in my sig. It hits very nice with just the right amount of chug. Loving the bent neck. It is at the perfect angle for me. It arrived in green. I am ready for my G1.

Latest reports from Versa on their forums is that official launch planned for this week is delayed while they finalize newest designs based on early user feedback such as some type of handle on the heater body and a longer handle on the flower bowl and other stuff they didn't specify.

And Leiana promised some new videos soon...

So I received my Infinity yesterday and have had a few short sessions with it. It arrived in excellent condition from USPS and was well packaged inside the hard case with bubble wrap and such. My initial impressions are good and it works well once you have your voltage dialed in. I like high 50's through the low 60's and using boost the whole time. I really dislike the flower bowl, i tried it as is but hated it. I then took out the stock screen and drop in and elb cap as a screen. If i fill the cap ( one scoop from my pipe tool) I can get one huge semi tasty rip and then stir and get a second less tasty and about half the size hit. I plan on ordering a 18 mm female/female adapter and using @Madcap79 's method for a flower bowl.

I'll try to get some pic's and vid's up eventually but I really haven't had any ground breaking thoughts outside what others have come up with. I can get huge clouds off small amounts of material. To me personally that is most important. Being able to accomplish that after a few short sessions makes me think it will only get better from here. If anyone has any questions, fire away.:peace:

Finally received mine today after a long wait due to uk customs, broken 18mm bowl, no 14mm bowl despite me paying for one. Before they sent the package they requested a extra $25 for postage due to the increased weight because of hard case and the fact they were sending me a 110v to 220v power converter, guess what no power converter included. I was totally prepared to buy my own converter so it was here ready to go when the infinity arrived, so will have to go on the hunt tomorrow and get a hooka so I can at least try this thing out.
I knew I should have gone with my gut instinct and got a refund:mad:
It's going to have to be really really good for me to have any sort of positive opinion on this thing now, especially as all these problems could have so easily been avoided with just a little bit of thought and care

Sorry to hear that. I hope you give the Infinity an honest try, IMO it is a very fine vaporizer with unique characteristics that gets the job done for me.

Please post your experiences with the Hookah, I think many of us are learning in that area...I just got a Hookah but don't have the adapter and Versa said there will be a wait for one but I'll be able to buy it online. FWIW, an experienced Hookah user advised that smaller hookahs are better suited to vaping, so you may want to bear that in mind for your selection, the one I bought is 10" tall and the vase is quite small, not too much bigger than those tacky 70s style colored glass candle holders you'd find at cheap italian restaurants.

I want to be able to just suck on a hookah hose for 20-30 minutes as a change of pace from taking a few quick rips in a row off bubblers.

@grokit I know it isn't ideal but in the g1thread in the first video @3:15 you get a quick glimpse of the controller
