Does ABV get less potent if I leave it out?

I usually leave my ABV on my dresser and some of it has been up there for a while, wondering if it gets less potent then it being in a mason jar or something.

I believe the THC degrades and turns into CBD as well, so the older the ABV the more CBD rich it will become (to an extent) but it will have less THC

Is CBN (by itself) bad? Can a plant be high in both CBN and CBD?

I typically save until I have an oz or more, in a jar on the table. Should I also be concerned I am about to be cooking with dead material?

I assume there is no way to reverse this process...

I just stash mine in a spice jar with a screw on lid and place it under my sink. It's got a long way to becoming full, but it still smells like the good stuff. I haven't really put it on any edibles yet, so I'm not sure if it's as potent!

I do the same and my jar is full. Every time I'm done vaping, dump the ABV into the jar and shake it well.... to ensure I never end up baking from only one batch or type of herb, then wondering.... where the heck did those effects come from?

Mixing like that, effects from consuming product used in baking have always been pretty consistent.

How brown is your herb? I'm curious if I over vaped it.

Honestly, for me it varies greatly by strain. I have strains that are exhausted of goodies and only turn light brown... others (like OGs) dark brown like rich coffee grounds.

(And I do have a consistent basis for comparison. Only use two vaporizers, Solo and EQ, and always by the same parameters/techniques.)

I always make firecrackers with the ABV, quick & easy, and have always received the same effect from different batches.

Light, heat, and oxygen will degrade the activities.

I keep wondering is if ABV can become spoiled in any way. Is there a shelf life?

I'd recommend you keep it in a mason jar or something like that to prevent any loss of potency and also just because...I wouldn't really want bugs or dust falling into something I'm going to consume.
