So I was hunting around for a double flame torch to see how I like it, and ran across this one, which has the option to switch from 1 flame to 2... and looks a bit on the larger side, so I am hoping it holds a lot of fuel. I'll report more after having getting it and using it a bit.

Ha, it does look cool, but IDK if people had experience with it before.
Can you show us a comparison of the double flame next to the regular honest lighter?
I think the instructions are pretty good. If not getting vapor, try preheating the plate for 5 or 6 seconds before inhaling.
To clear the bud under the heat plate, I knock the side of the Lotus on my table. Then I try to shake out the AVB. Repeat a few times, then use a brush to get the final specs off the wood. The reason why I continue to knock it is because I am paranoid that brushing all of the AVB might get finer pieces into the air intake holes. It might be redundant or ineffective, but paranoia, man...
I thought the bowl was bigger before I got it.
Pack loose. I fill it up 1/3 to 3/4 depending on how long I want the bowl. You should stir it in between hits. With a fuller bowl, stirring might spill a little off the sides.

That looks sweet. I'm sure it would work with some silicone. I have been on the lookout for alternative pipes to use with my Lotus besides a J-hook. Anybody know of any spoon type pipes with a 14mm bowl?

This one looks pretty interesting. I might pick one up here soon. It's made so you can fill it with water or glycerine for cooling, but I feel like I would just be using it dry. Just trying to find something a little smaller then a J-hook.

Your are the high priest of vaporizing!I like to think I am responsible for the little spoons being so popular because I found them to use with the sublimator, but that's another topic(hope you get the humor, not really this egotistical), they also work quite well with the Lotus and my other vapes and Jyarz. I find the "pinch" spoon to be the best portion for my needs. Two pinchs loads the Lotus about 1/2 way full with a light tamping.

I got my PA to fit in my healthstone handvape pipe using a bit of silicone tubing to secure it in there.
Works pretty good, line of sight is a little awkward, but not too bad considering how small they really are. Great size for pocket use...just a little pricy. I also managed to make it work with my VG handcarved pipe body, same thing, bit of silicone tubing in the bowl, then pop the PA in.
I've been keeping my eyes peeled
for any kind of smaller glass pipe that looks like a good contender for the lotus, so if I see anything I'll be sure to post about it. Ideally, more of a sherlock style would be best, so you get the bowl lower than the stem, for visual reasons. I didn't want to post it cause it is not done yet and I'm not even sure it will be. Seems really difficult to find a blower who want to do a "simple adapter" for me. But recently, I got in contact with a UK blower (thanks to FC infos) and I'm still expecting answer to the project.
I was talking about it a few pages ago and in the jhook thread as well, but a picture is speaking for dozens of words...
The idea is to get a 70° angled 14mm female to 14mm male adapter in which I'll "plug" a glass stem. The benefit is to pack all of this in a really tiny pouch. Considering the small alu stem is 13cm, I find 8cm for the adapter length to be comfortable enough (7cm would be even enough). I made some test with the lighter, and thanks to the distance and bowl angle, it is not annoying at all. I also asked the blower to make the same adapter with a male 14mm modified like the wpa measure instead of female.
Feel free to find a blower who's willing to do it and ship to EU, and most of all : share with us !

I used to have a GonG pipe that was similar to those Helix pipes. I tried to use it with a vaporgenie top and it was difficult to get a consistent draw because of the little holes that create the vortex. I imagine it would be a similar situation with the Lotus. Still would like to see someone try though.

Im just wondering, but has anyone ever attempted some kind of mod to allow for a bigger bowl? Obviously the bowl is good enough for day to day usage, but sometimes you wanna go a little crazy, y'know

Etiquette Question: When vaping with friends and the Lotus, do you all pass with each hit? Or do you let each person finish their own bowl?

When I use the lotus with friends, everyone gets to vape their bowl from fresh to done before passing.
That is, unless they are a total rookie with it. If that is the case then I have them vape about halfway to done, and finish off their bowl and let them have another one until they get the heating routine down well enough there is no risk of combustion. Either that or I drive the fire, and most of them get it right away after watching me do it a few times.
