Favourite Strain Appreciation Thread

Hi all,

So it seems everyone in the world but us Aussies is smoking better herb than we get. Let me explain. On the East Coast of Australia, you will almost always find the same, very dense, unnamed strain with very hairy orange buds. It is almost always poorly cured, and stored horribly by whoever sells it. I know people who have had dealers tell them that there's is good because it was stored tightly wrapped in cling wrap in the fridge! The stuff is almost always starting to smell of ammonia, either wet from improper curing/storage or dry and almost moldy due to improper curing and air drying.

However, on occasion, you find some of the great medical strains getting over here. LA Confidential and Sublime have made appearances. Sublime is just a beautiful plant. I find that it generates major cloudage compared to the stuff you usually find around here. LA Confidential was incredible, but rare and not around for long.

So what's your favourite strain? Give us Aussies some serious envy!

Too many great strains to choose from. Seems like you guys would have great access to European seedbanks? Even mexico grows great strains nowadays, they just ruin it in the curing process - treating it like compost.

Oh, and big fan of Charlotte's Web. Never had it, but for the relief it provides to children suffering siezures, if I had the $$$ and a safe place to do it, I'd grow it by the plantation and donate as much as possible!

Ill chime in and say i do hate the standard commercial your talking about and almost refuse to consume it. Sometimes it can be a little different and nice but yeh most of it is unflushed, uncured brown and excessive orange little popcorn shit or similar but giant mutant moist borderline mouldy buds. Alot of it in and around sydney i think

Almost as close to mexican brick or schwag you would call it (other than some bricked up crappy bush) But maybe not quite as bad.. sometimes but haha...

As for faves id say Moby Dick, AK47, Black Domina and some super tasty Swazi-something so far

We've always been pretty spoiled in Oregon. It costs the same to grow a plant anywhere, you would think cost would be about the same. I hate how need and opportunity dictate price instead of actual value. We are medical only here for now - I'm sure legalized recreational use would spike the price in both markets w/ taxes. I live on the or/wa border so we'll see how they do when they finally open shop.
