Yeah the "Glass ELB" is mostly for concentrates yes? HELL YES. Flowers are already easy and have very little mess. I think the Glass ELB is also going to be longer than a normal ELB to get it down to the heat source.

I wonder what that will mean for inverted use, which is how I use mine 99% of the time.

Almost there...
Does anyone know the exact placement of the heater in the EVO?
I think @havealight101 is onto somethign here!
If you can figure out the heat sweet spot and make the glass ELB accordingly so that the concentrate sits directly inside the part of the bamboo where the heater is located, that will give you much better results!
Have the heat surround the concentrate and not the usual way of the heater heating air to vaporize the compounds from the herb.

Most likely easier to wait for the release of the concentrate accessory though... but experimentation could be a lot of fun!

It means you will enjoy it 1% of the time! Are you referring to using the Cloud inverted with flowers or are you saying you do your concentrates inverted with another unit?

I don't know if they named it yet, but I dont think the official concentrate glass chamber will be called "glass elb".
I'm just speculating but I think it would be confusing being that the original is used for herbs. :2c:

I user my Evo inverted for everything 99% of the time, lately I've been doing 80% concentrates.

Lets have a faux naming contest for the glass ELB for concs. Here are some sure fire losers-
  • Oil Can Bazinga
  • EELB: Evolved Eazy Loader Bowl
  • GELB: Glass ELB
  • Crystal Cavern Loader
  • HPT: Hydra-Pinky-Toe
  • Oil Can Boywled
  • BSGLC - BoroSilicate Glass Loading Chamber
  • Deep Chamber Loader
  • PGS - Pure Glass Solution

Wristbands were in some and not in others, Help Ticket to resolve. I never bothered w/ a ticket and just bought my own random wristbands.

Hey there...
Heater is about 1in and a 1/2 long.
Heater is placed about 1in and a 1/2 from bottom of ELB.

I tried a few times, but need more testing done... Maybe play with lower temps, around noon, or length of the needle on my DIY dab gizmo...

VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Mixed report to give after receiving my EVO and Swagger Barrel HT package ordered 2/21 and delivered today, 2/26.

The Bad: HydraTube completely wrecked in transit. I heard the sound of broken glass as soon as I opened the package, which instantly killed the anticipation and excitement. Submitted a support ticket and waiting to hear back, but I have confidence that VapeXHale will make this right.

The Good: I'M VAKED! Great for washing away the disappointment of a broken HT. Loving the EVO so far. Luckily had some 18mm glass of my own. Turned the unit on, set dial to 12:00 and let it heat up while cleaning my glass. Loaded up an ELB about 1/3rd full, plugged into glass, and WOOSH - loving that airflow! The vapor/air ratio is great for both density and flavor. Looking forward to experimenting with draw speed, bowl size, and grind to see how they affect extraction.

Question: Before loading my first ELB into the EVO, I noticed a little translucent yellowish discoloration on/in the glass of the EVO's male joint. Went at it with an ISO Q-tip, no change. Anyone else have something like this? Not that big a deal but has me curious.

@JackHerer0803
Sorry on your HT and congrats in your EVO.
I might be wrong,
Was the yellowish discoloration gone after turning unit off, uniform all over, or when male joint is red or green??

If that happened, don't worry, IMO that is the new firmware telling you from green to orange/yellowish to green , that your unit is heating to reach desired temperature.
Stay vaped...

New to this forum... I just got the Cloud Evo a couple weeks ago and it is AWESOME!!! It so efficiently vaporizes the herb and extracts more THC then anything ive tried.

I find the best way to use it is to
1) Set it at 3 and let it go Green
2)Set it at NOON and let it go Green
3) Set it to 2 and let it go Green
4) Smoke away until no vapor is made
5) Get EVOLVED!!!

5) EVOLVE!!!

haha, im pretty Elevated with this thing

I've been reading about the good customer service from the VXL crew, (it's one of the reasons I was drawn to the EVO). Well I ordered an EVO yesterday, with regular shipping- and I got it today! Can't beat that!

A couple of questions from someone using a Cloud for the 1st time & with limited glass experience: If the HT gets stuck, my inclination would be to twist it. I believe I've heard that's not good. What's the best way to unlock the glass? Rock it gently?

And after cleaning a HT, is it OK to put it in the oven to dry it thoroughly (say @ 200F for 20 minutes or so?)

I'd love to crank up this EVO & see what a major league vape is all about. But I can't tonight so I'll have to check back in with my experience.

My customer service experience was outstanding as well

Do not twist. Glass contracts as it cools... turn it off for a min

See my post about getting a great vape experience

So I was able to log a few sessions with the HF2.0. I was out of town for the majority of the weekend, but coming home Sunday evening to see the package made arriving back home that much sweeter.

First off, it is beautiful. None of the images I had seen really gave me a good scale to have an expectation on size, but I have to say the can is a bit bigger than I expected it to be, and that is a great surprise. Even with this added size, I later learned that as light as the EVO is, it will tip the HF2.0 over if there is no water in the base and no glass on top. Mine did not fall over, I was testing exactly this stability and as it tipped it was gracefully stopped with a waiting hand. So be aware and cautious.

(apologies, this is a shitty pic - actually, they are all shitty cell phone pics...)

I immediately cleaned the glass, put what I imagine to be the right amount of water in (enough to cover the perc, but not so much that when drawing stops the water reaches too far up toward the bamboo) and tried a dry draw direct from the male 18.8mm GonG. I was surprised at how little resistance there was (another nice, welcome surprise). Then I loaded my HT on top (EB Turbine) and had a draw. Again, wonderful. It was not noticeably adding any drag. I then opted to test fit the EVO empty. Initially I saw that the opals on the HT would be in the way, so I got my angles right and comfortable layed it on there and admired.

Initially I did not like the feel of it. I have never used the EVO (or any other vape) inverted, and I was really looking forward to it. I did not like it initially, felt like everything was too close together and like I was going to break something easily. Them I tried it. I got used to the feel in about 1 minute. Taking it on and off, figuring out how I like it angled and which had does what was all I needed to really fall in love with the setup.

Flavor is barely touched - it is still a shockingly flavorful experience. Perhaps there is a slight reduction, but I was really looking for a loss in flavor and was unable to find it...

Conditioning is great. Adding this chamber allows me to blast through a 1/3 @ 2:30-3:00 with one massive rip and not even an inkling of a cough. I could really get a thick enough rip going before to REALLY cough and so far, with the HF2.0, I cannot find the need to cough. Imma keep at this though :)

As I mentioned before, there is little to no additional drag.

All in all, I am 100% pleased and would recommend this product to friend or foe.

And now a little different...

I got an idea to try something new (to me) with some additional wristbands to add some stability to my station. Specifically, I removed the ability for the EVO or the HF1.0 to slide around my desk without me intending to do so. I simply put a wristband around the base of the HF and another around the base of the EVO, just low enough that it hangs over the edge. I am VERY pleased with the resulting stability and actually like the look:

Hey guys! I just had a quick question. I just received my EVO from the fedex guy. I immediately wanted to check out my EVO but it does not seem to fire up. It's plugged in and I have a red light on top. After maybe a minute it starts flashing red. I looked at the "quick start guide" that came with it and I couldn't find anything about the flashing.

So what could be causing the flashing red light? Maybe it was too cold (from being on the truck)?

Thanks, I'm exciting to get this thing going.

If it's really cold it will do that ... just let it warm up and then try again.

I think moisture content is a very important factor also.
I concur. I have experimented with the same strain same grind to find that fresh, slightly sticky or moist flower needs more heat than if I let it dry out for even an hour, but I tend to now stage my storage.

Longer term (not touching for a week or more) goes in a SS jar with humidifier pack (CV Vault). Long term (expected to be used this week) goes in a SS jar with no pack. Short term (going to grind in the next day or so) goes into a glass jar with no pack and allows it to really dry out (my preference, but still malleable - not cracking-into-dust-dry) so when I grind it gets a bit finer and it hits harder.

And after grind (I rarely am able to grind and kill a bud in a day unless I get some nice popcorn size buds) storage is in the doob tubes. If I get a fresh batch that is moist and I want to experience it sooner than later, I'll grind it and suffer through a moist taste test (yeah - suffer through, LOL), but I'll leave the rest in the grinder for an hour to just let that moisture out. I leave it to sit in a coset that is dark because I have not yet researched how quickly sunlight/light actually degrades the desired compounds. This is probable a bit overzealous.

For my purposes, the EVO really shines the most when the flower (have no access to concentrates, so I cannot comment) is nice and dry, evenly ground and lightly loaded in the ELB. It shines bright when even none of those conditions are ideal, but when I think ahead, it hits me harder IN the head.
