The Herbalizer

Vapor concierge
Herbie's been here for two days now. I, too, want the lid to close tighter. I blew up one bag so far and it wasn't on right so vapor was heavily leaking out the bowl until I got it right, which made me think I would like some sort of 'click' type of feedback for when the bag is properly seated.

There you have it. That's all the bad shit I could think of. Now on to what matters...

Every now and then a vape comes along that adds to my understanding of what a vape can or should do. When I got my first Purple Days I never looked at efficiency the same way again, and I wanted my vaporizer to be ready all the time. When the Magic Flight Launch Box arrived it challenged my understanding of the need for visible vapor. At that point in time, however, the need to see visible vapor won out. The Silver Surfer proved to me that smoking type effects were possible with a vaporizer, and I started saying the phrase 'punch to the face' a lot. The Cloud took that to the next level and taught me about the importance and joys of heat retention, not to mention ensuring that almost every hit I would take would be through water. The POD took beauty to a new level. The Vapolution 2 made me a flavor snob. The Ascent and Sublimator gave new meaning to the term 'vape signature' with their unique combinations of conduction/convection/radiation heating.

But this Herbie changes the game and shifts the paradigm. I have gone back through this thread a second time and am on page 70 now, and the common theme among the experienced is that this device is mind altering, even spiritual. People are saying they get higher than on other devices (a common effect with vaporizers, so this doesn't impress me unless it is still happening weeks later). We're hearing about not needing to see clouds anymore, as they are getting heavily ripped on wispy hits. We've got people who know bags suck (come on, we all know that) saying they are now enjoying bags again. I could go on, but it's all in this thread already.

In two days with Herbie I have experienced everything all the others have, so I won't bother restating that here. But since this is what I will be using all the time now, you're gonna he hearing about that later anyhow!

@stickstones That is an awesome review!!

"Vape Like A Boss", i thought that was a huge statement to make about a brand new vape but now i realize they knew what they were talking about!!
This is truly a vape for everyone from beginner to advanced, everyone can master this vape in a short time and get results every time!

One of the many things I enjoy about the Herbalizer is that of all the vapes I've tried, Herbie comes closest, IMO, to the sensation from smoking...but cleaner somehow. I'm a hybrid kind of guy and Herbie seems to impart more of a head/body balance than any other vape I've tried. I think smokers could easily be converted by Herbie!

The power of HERBIE compels you! :o

I'm finding that the best way for me to medicate with Herbie is to space my hits out. Tonight I loaded .1g and split it up into three "mini sessions" over the course of an hour or so (3-4 hits per session). Really helps keep things nice and level. Bags are also a good way to split up your consumption.

It does take a little while to acclimate to vaping like this, especially when you're used to sucking on a solo stem for an hour straight to get the same effect. If I sip away at the Herbalizer's whip for too long, I'll end up getting a little too lifted. Practice makes perfect!

It's funny, I bought this thing thinking I was going to use it almost exclusively in that 350-400 range, but now I'm finding myself using it almost exclusively at 290-300 in the morning and 400-445 during the evening. To me, this demonstrates the power of true temperature control. It also tells me that my perception of vaporization temperatures was a bit skewed by previous units. It's really nice to have total control and confidence in the extraction process.

I just got my tubing-to-glass system working and will start the micro load stuff tonight. I'll bet I have to adjust my thinking about effect versus cloud thickness.
I don't yet have my Herbie, but I can attest to the power of thin wispy vapor. For example, with my Solo, I use a cotton/tincture (evaporated, dry) loaded stem and amp to 7. Any visible vapor is slow to come, but eventually does albeit feint. No matter, after only 1 session, I'm there - no need to go further - clouds no factor! So I would guess that if your ABV looks baked regardless of vapor visibility, extraction is at near optimum, and your head will tell you too! Powerful stealth vapor!

EDIT: I'm also thinking that the air/temp/moisture ratio that mixes w/herb in the Herbie bowl is different from most or all other vapes, so gives off a different vapor profile. Perhaps the halogen heat changes the algorithm. Also, wouldn't going through a length of whip change things further?

I was wondering if the temp was really getting there that quickly because my first couple of hits on a bowl are weaker than the third. But today I started at 377 and spent it. Then I came back an hour later and rehit the same bowl starting at 400 and got one big hit immediately and it was spent (nothing on the second hit). So then I put it to max (445) and got another big hit that spent it immediately. Then I took a shower to give the effects time to set in, which they did. So this tells me that weed needs a couple of hits to prep for its best hits. I used to think it was the vape that needed to get to equilibrium...turns out it's the weed. But I could never definitively determine that until using a vape that does what Herbie does.

You know, sometimes I prep the bowl for the next session ahead of time. I just had about a 45 second session with two really good hits for maintenance. No shit...did you get that?

This is a key aspect for a new convert to vaporizing to consider, because to smokers its always been about the strain and the impact of the medication.:myday:

It sounds like Herbie acts like a pharmacy and the user prescribes the meds,

and if that's the case- Herbie is the Mesiah of vaporizers, hence "vape like a boss" slogan. :bowdown:

I'm a believer in the Herbie and would like to be an owner.

I'm now officially a warm-up snob. Because of how I vape, my pet peeve for vapes has been long warm-up times and shut-off timers. I find it absolutely ridiculous that this thing is always waiting on me! Even when I have a bowl pre-loaded, it's ready before I can turn it on, set the temp and open the window.

The possibilities are boggling!

How many Herbie owners do we have in this forum...maybe 10? That would be five percent of all owners.

That is a good question as to how many FC'ers own a Herbie!
What would be the easiest way to find out? A poll?

Uh... there are some assumptions you make in there that are not valid.
:)

But, yeah, I think that a large percentage of Herbie owners are FC readers (I specify "readers" to include the lurkers that either don't have an account, or do, but don't post... I don't know if you'd count that as "in this forum" or not?), but I would argue that the percentage is higher than that.

Not only are the people here more invested in vaping than the standard population (which also means we'd be more inclined to buy a higher-end item), but the initial incentivized offer was made to FC, which not only drove FC'ers to Herbalizer, but also brought some Herbalizer-interested people here to FC. Plus you have the people that came to Herbie by other means, and when they turned to the internet to learn more about their new device, they come here.

But I'm sure you know that. :)

PS: I can think of at least 5 FC participants (ie, people who post, not lurkers) in Herbie's home-town/county. That can't be 50% of the FC'ers who also own a Herbalizer. Hmmm.... brb.... drawing venn diagrams now...
:)

EDIT FOR BACK TO BACK:
So, going back to page 86 (and not even looking at the shipping thread) I get about 25 FC'er with Herbies, and a few maybes I was unsure of(I just took a quick look). I know I am missing some people, but this was a quick look. I apologize if I messed up anyone's name.

Not yet... I am still working on him!
He is going to cave soon though...

Come over to the clam side!

You fight the good fight! In the mean time, I've crossed out his name.

Think of anyone I forgot?

EDIT HERE BECAUSE I CAN"T EDIT THE LAST POST:
=========================================================================
11 more names from the Shipping thread that claimed to have ordered and/or got tracking numbers:

@TheNOTORIOUS_THC
@the ob
@VapingDitto
@Amazingkaddycap
@PalmPrePerson
@marduk
@jds32
@Rizzalso
@denalus
@PalmPrePerson
@Ville23

So, that's about 36-40 FC users with a Herbie... that we know of.

And I'm still counting.

Went back through page 72 and found four more names. (And I few "maybes" I ignored 'cause I've been wrong on a few of them.)

@next level
@GoldenBear
@mephisto
@billyg

So, that at least 40 FC users.

Plus I know there are people that demo'd that have enough knowledge to comment on, but might not have gotten one (I'm think about @Stu, @Quetzalcoatl, @bildozer, and others I am forgetting now).

So, that's a shite-tonne of FC expertise here.
:)

Okay, I'm done counting now.

For putting up with my OCD, here's a pic of the Herbie flag being proudly flown in front of the office. :)

I've been enjoying the whip as well lately,
alternating between the j-hook and a small glass mouthpiece.

I found a 10/14 adapter.
(actually it was brought to a different thread by another fc'er):

http://www.mountainglass.com/Low-Profile-Bushing-Adaptor-10F-to-14M-100.html?sc=2&category=18191

Has anybody tried this, who thinks it will fit?

I bought one, thanks. I plan on using it with a 14/18 adapter to rig a VapeXhale glass mouthpiece directly onto the bowl. Best direct draw method I could come up with, should be cool!

Does anyone have the exact measurements of the Herbalizer's stock tubing?
