I have just bought an Extreme Q whip, mainly for the longer tubing, going to pair it with the Infinity using a 18F18F from here http://www.ebay.com/itm/331119340716 , recommended by @DDave. Put one of the Versa screens in there and a dome screen in the end of the elbow adaptor of the whip. Use the 'Elbow' pack method and see how that goes.

I have also bought a couple of these http://www.ioffer.com/i/18-18mm-adapter-536883206 to see how they work as a flower bowl :)

Will report back in a week or so when they have arrived :D

I tried putting the ELB cap in my flower bowl and setting it at 85v like in your video. Works great for small amounts. Keeps everything nice and centered. I like it.
Thanks for that, I just tried the EQ dome screen in the original Versa flower bowl too (removed the big screen, and the EQ dome fits perfectly snug...I found the ELB cap to be a little loose. The EQ dome fits so snugly, and works really well so far, better than in the make shift bowl I made last night :D

Did you try to plug that male joint in the bottom with EQ cap and load it like that from the top??
You can go to 117V and not combust if you DON'T SIP and crank your WT and boost :science:

Yeah I have also tried that with good success, but this method brings the load (very small load of 0.05g) closer to the heater and allows me to crank down the voltage a bit.

Thanks for all your posts on the bowls though @Zangano Cruel, they have inspired me to experiment myself :)

So it looks like Cyclone Bowl is necessary to make it easier if you want to use a whip, either as a dry hit or to connect a Water Tool rather than invert the heater on top of the WT?

Then with dome screen on an elbow adapter, you can load herb into the cyclone bowl through the 18mm opening like I would currently do with the Versa flower bowl on top of my Water Tool? I don't like having to take a dome screen cap out to refill the bowl.

Do I have that right, all the adapters and connections can get confusing. So to use my WT with a whip connection to the infinity, I need the Arizer whip kit w/the Cyclone bowl plus a second elbow adapter?

Yep that will do it :)

However, I am not sure how effective the Arizer OEM Cyclone Bowl will work as it has quite a big gap in-between the joints...the one I linked to on ebay or the one from greenbuddah on ioffer are shorter and have a place for the screens to go. I think they would work better as the heater will be closer to the load.

I think you could load your flower in the adapter or the dome screen (it should stay put if you pack the screen well) either should work.

Oh, I see now. Can't wait to hear how it goes, if the bowls work well, I may join you in this endeavor.

Finding my sweet spot to be around 70v currently. Might bump up to 100v to finish.
Not been doing anything revolutionary, just using the standard flower bowl that came with it. Finding extraction to be pretty thorough, and really enjoying the flavor profiles of the strains I have currently. Concentrates with the Infinity have been put on the backburner for now as I am enjoying flowers after neglecting them for a spell. Still very impressed just not really nothing new to add at the moment.

Hello guys. This is just a very quick update from my phone.

Regarding using the infinity with a hookah pipe. I have never used a hookah before and I couldn't get it to work properly. First day complete fail. Second day got a few whispy hits. It felt obvious something was wrong. Airflow was not airtight at some point. I thought it must have been a shitty hookah because the whip looks pretty cheap. However, I finally discovered a missing ball bearing was the problem.

So I started with some sheesha. WOW. More vapor than I have ever seen before. Hit full boost for prolonged period. No combustion. Just mountains of delicious vapor. It was completely insane. That was at full power and boost. Still smooth and no coughing caused. Just wonderful :)

So just cleaned it up and tried some herb. Believe me when I say I have never seen denser vapor. It was mind blowing. Compared to the bubbler the vapor is of a completely different variety. I have never seen anything like it.

Using a newly acquired Nubee Infrared Thermometer gun, I decided to take some measurements on the Infinity. Bear in mind, this is a surface reading tool and you can't get accurate info on the temperature of the airflow hitting the herb.

Pointing it at the infinity heater, down in the core, around the screen, etc, produced wildly fluctuating readings, swinging +/- over 100f. On control box setting 70v, I get readings of anywhere between 450f and 600f. When I point it at the core of my space heater, I get similar results, fluctuating temps, so heat engines give off a lot of different levels of heat.

So although I can tell that the voltage levels do make it hotter/cooler, I can't say with certainty how much and to what degree.

I can however, take accurate readings of the following:

Outside surface of the Infinity Body, while sitting on base:
at a level of 70v, room temperature 70f, humidity: winter/dry Northeast US
Bottom (near cord): 75f
At Cap Level: 90f
Where Body Flares: 200f

Flower Bowl - same room and environmental conditions, measurements taken within 3 seconds after bowl has been hit:
Interior of Female Joint: 311f
Outside of Female Joint: 186f
Nub Handle: 86f

Here's what the temp gun looks like:

I just get an 1/8 of some stinky Agent Orange. It really adds some flavor to Beta Testing...
Yesterday night I visited my buddy @PhotoRider . Took the Infinity for a ride.
This beast of vape, teach me the combustion way , how vaping in my shed at 30-40F vs indoors at 70+F makes a difference.
I combusted like 4 times. I messed like 3 of PR's WT's... Needless to say, the man has enough glass back up, for months of combusting mistakes ...

er5n.jpg

Back to testing... Have a nice day :)

Back to the shed, cold outside, 40F… shed maybe the same :(
I'm tasting really well this Agent Orange, I clean some bowls and adapters and pipe too :)
Straight to 105V… Boost… Blaze Tire perc bub...
jwcu.jpg

4 to 5 milk cans… first 2 very tasty, third mix of taste with almost done, 4th or 5th no taste, or neutral or some popcorn…
All this is using a 1/4 teaspoon, leveled to top, weight 0.1g to 0.15g… Depends on strain, grind etc etc… This is ABV shot. Full even extraction in 4 to 5 milk clouds. Very good IMO.
r2ct.jpg

From 1oz= 28g
28g / 0.1g to round it = 280 1/4 teaspoons loads, my loads ok??? :)
280 loads means x 4 milk clouds = 1120 clouds an oz :smug:
That's sounds good to me

Here we go. This is 55v/boost. Thinner vapor but very tasty and good effects. Pretty small amount of herb too. Going to try 60v/boost next. I put the ELB cap on my male/male adapter and then put on my fem/fem adapter. It was easier than cutting a hole in a screen. Haha.

Since there has been concern about the hot part of the Infinity body, I thought I would provide a visual aid to show where the hot zone :evil::evil: or "don't touch" area is and where it is cool and safe :cool::cool: to handle the Infinity. Be safe kids and never handle a vaporizer without adult supervision. :myday:

What did you do to light it like that, it looks great.

I finally received my unit but I won't be around for a few days to use it. So I won't be able to start my testing quite yet. Can't wait to get back to try it.

Here you go @gosaints420 . Using the larger bowl of the ELB. 0.07g of material. Same adapter setup.

67v/boost. Tasty

73v/boost. Still Tasty. Same bowl as before.

90v/boost. Still tasty. New bowl. This new strain I have doesn't seem to milk up as much. The effect is fairly sativa in nature so that may explain the lighter vapor? Anyway, I'm medicated. I have some shisha for the hookah. May may a vid of that. Cheers!

Well after a weekend of serious testing I can tell you I was not in the best condition this morning (Monday). But it was well worth it.

Friday Night

This was my first time sharing the Infinity with others. My two young friends were mightily impressed by the unit. As it turned out I had .1 of my sativa (mids) in the bowl and ready to go when they arrived. I packed it up and let them share a quick one to start and for one of my friends unfortunately, also to finish. They both got nice vapor production but it was too much for one of my friends. He whited out and was not heard from again for the next few hours. He had not eaten and had been on a t-break for a few days. Quite simply it was too overwhelming for him. However, there is a cautionary tale to be found here. Be careful with this beast. It is very powerful and it takes no prisoners lol. Anyway, I blew some great clouds for them and demonstrated the unit. They both loved it.

Saturday

First full day with the unit and wow. Started with a nice wake and bake of .1 followed by coffee. Great. Had another .05 and went off for 90 minutes of Thai massage. Ahh ... so nice, so relaxing. Followed up with some great vegetarian food. Great morning. Anyway, as mentioned in an earlier post I eventually got my hookah pipe working on Saturday afternoon after several failed attempts. Let me just say this. If you have not vaped through a hookah pipe before then you need to try it as soon as possible. It is an amazing experience. I recorded a video of myself blowing ridiculous clouds. Unfortunately, can't post videos just yet. My accounts all reveal my identity so I need to set up some new accounts before doing that. But trust me it will blow your mind. I tried a few different amounts ranging from .1 to .25 and they were all successful. This really is a wonderful option. You can either blow humongous clouds or sip it and use it as a session tool. Actually, I am yet to go back to the bubbler since getting the hookah to work properly.

Sunday

More of the same. Great vaping. Nice day. Also vaped some more sheesha again. Its nice but I got a bit bored off it after a while. Great smell production for added stealth though. I also noted that the hookah adapter seems to be producing a steady flow of resin/oil. Looks good.

That's about all for now. Early start today had me struggling with a stoneover but all good now.

This vape is the bee's knees as far as I'm concerned. More testing certainly to be done. But thus far I am giving this thing a rating of 9/10 and I expect it to go up to 9.5 once it is properly released. If you are wondering if you need to get one of these units the answer is yes.

I find the hookah to be very fun to use as well. It works pretty damn well. I'm off on another trip unfortunately so I'll be away from my unit for at least a week.

Just made a rookie mistake. I cleaned my bowls with ISO and a water wash and forgot to dry off the bowl. Inserting the hot Versa into a wet bowl resulted in the glass cracking surrounding the Versa heater. Ugh.

I'm getting jealous of Hookah users and thinking of getting the one at the link below, any opinions? 11" Mini hookah with 2-hose setup for about 32 bucks shipped?

Edit: NVM, much cheaper options for a beginner hookah domestically, like on Amazon, $12 shipped with Prime - click here

This vape looks very promising. Can't wait to see a production model. I would really like to see it with at least 7mm glass, though.

Hey Mister G - this might be a little late. I get the feeling you may have already pulled the trigger. I saw your message on the Versa forum about cheaper models being found on e-bay. I have been doing a bit of research as well and found the e-bay prices were probably better than the Chinese sites and the choices seem better as well.

I'm certainly not even close to being an expert as I only picked up my own hookah pipe 6 days ago. However, I have been doing some research. I chose mine fairly quickly and did not put much thought in to it. I'm now planning on upgrading already. I really dislike my whip. It is cheap stainless steel at one end and crappy wood on the other. God only knows what the tubing is made of. It functions well but I don't think it will be pleasing to me in the long-term.

I have been doing some research on hookahs and have found that there are some beautiful high end glass models available. They are not cheap but they are beautiful. I have found some of the top brands include Roi, LaVoo, Fumo, Evolution and Lust. Many people seem to think Roi is a good brand. The products seems to include ground glass on glass connections and the mouth-tip is also glass. I am close to pulling the trigger on this bad boy from Roi;

http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-16008-roi-ufo-beast.html

or possibly this one from LaVoo;

http://www.hookah-shisha.com/p-14166-Lavoo-hookah-mp6-1hose-glass-hookah.html

My biggest concern is whether or not Versa's hookah attachment will fit. It would be a very expensive mistake to make.

Last night I had a couple of nice bowls with my bubbler. Very nice. Switched to the hookah and found that .2 really gave me quite a long relaxing session. It was a nice mix of sipping, smaller hits and a few giant hits.

I am thinking a beautiful glass hookah is going to make the Infinity a great session vape.
