Calling me a racist is a total non-sequitur and I never dared dream that anyone could respond to what I said

I didn't call you a racist.
I said, "In fact if anybody's exhibiting racism here, it's you!".
I was commenting on what you wrote, not who you are.
I fail to see any vitriol in my post either.

Back to herb grinders. Once again I'm going to promote a really nice 30mm mini 2 pc. It's out of stock at the moment but EDIT sells it for under $12 delivered to the US. I've been using one for a few years now, and the black anodizing has held up 100%. It's great for a fine grind and/or a pocket grinder when you just need a small amount processed.

I'm seeing this brand a lot. They have a 1.2"/30mm size too- $14 on eBay. Not a lot of teeth, so you can load easier, but I like my 'more teeth Head Chef' or MixnBall Nano for a finer grind.

Here's one I can't figure out. A 3 pc. (lot's of 'em) on eBay. I see a screen. I see holes. What I don't see is any space in between. Makes me wonder if anyone has actually used this, after designing it. :hmm:

If it actually worked, I think that design looks cool.

All the fine grinding ability of a 2 piece, with the keif catching properties of a 4 pce.

I have a small titanium space case grinder which i bought on ebay a few months ago. A buddy wants to buy this space case from me. So i think it's time for a new, maybe better grinder? Where i live they don't really sell quality grinders like in the USA or Canada. I see a lot of people prefer the SCS, what's the best deal on the 2-piece small SCS?

That looks exactly like my MF Nano grinder, great for 1 trench at a time. I've seen them at many smoke shops in different colors and branding. I'd guess they all come from China, maybe from the same place. Anyone interested should be able to find a few purchase options at FC retailers like PV and PuffItUp.

GrassCity after you find a 20-30% off coupon, find a code or wait for a holiday. If you are willing to pay a little more and get great service from a trusted FC retailer, PlanetVape is great. They have the small labeled as medium, http://www.planetvape.ca/santa-cruz-shredder-medium-2-piece.html and don't forget the FC coupon code.

It appears as though the screen is in a fixed position.. laid flat up against the underside of the teeth/hole section. Could prove complex cleaning.

@Dreamerr posted this a while back but blaze1.com has great deals on scs plus 20% off with coupon code blaze20. That's where I ordered mine from.

Look, I obviously made a horrible mistake in judgment regarding this place and I sincerely apologize. I jumped the gun and I called it wrong. Given how disruptive my actions were, irrespective of how well meaning, good taste demands that I ask permission to be accepted back.

When I'm allowed back, I would like to warn people off of the Piranha grinder. And get more insight into a grinder I was discussing with someone earlier.

I thank you humbly in advance.

Thank you so much for your kindness and grace. Now, onto good things.

I don't know if I told anyone, but while I enjoy my herbals for recreational purposes, I am now sick and need advice on a new grinder.

I saw a few pictures posted of the Piranha and I would just like to warn people off of it. I have one and it really isn't a good piece. If you're looking for a grinder to grind your herbs enough that the heat will hit each part of the surfaces, this isn't it. I really can't endorse this.

I was talking about the Zeus grinder and its compatibility with my Solo, but someone here threw cold water on it.

Here are the links from the page from the people who sell them:

The guy on the video is not connected with the people who make the Zeus. What say you guya?

I recently purchased a mini 4 pc scs and I have to say its amazing. When filled my medium mulcher is very hard to get an initial start for the grinding process and my hands would be sore after trying to use. But the scs is smooth and the grip is much better. They are different types of grinders, and my mm doesn't have grips while others do so don't take the comparison above as SCS is better than MM.

While your apology is appreciated, you broke no rules and have been free to continue posting at any time.

The Zeus grinders are probably just fine. Most brands these days do a good job. The one with the hand crank though, is not going to be as reliable. Unless you have arthritis or something, there's no real benefit to this design and more parts and attachments just makes for more chances of failure. With your standard all CNC machined grinders (cut from one solid piece of aluminum), there's nothing to break except the teeth, and that's not going to happen unless maybe you load some big stems and use a lot of brute force, trying to overcome the resistence. In all my years of herb grinding, I've never broken or bent a tooth, even with the cheap generic grinders. You just have to avoid putting lumber in and trying to grind it.

As for the claims for this new brand (copied from the FB page)- "The ZEUS™ Grinder is the worlds first bud buster that is made for vaporizers. These grinders grind up your botanical to the perfect consistency so it is not too fine or bulky.", it's just marketing BS. What's a perfect consistency for one vape model won't be perfect for another. The truth is that most vaporizers are quite happy with the consistency produced by most any brand/model of grinder, and any 2 piece can produce a fine grind, if needed, just by continued grinding. The same goes for a 4 pc. Just turn it upside down.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the off topic post...I promise that this will be the last post about this from me but I needed to respond.

I feel like I need to chime in here as a "Black Male" and a member of this community. As a member of this site, I thoroughly enjoy the conversations and information that I learn and am able to share with others. I have never felt unwelcome here and to the contrary, I find the membership to be very mature and level headed.

With that said, I can understand why you felt that way as there is an undercurrent out there, a silent racist language that does take place. Meaning, "Thug" is the new code word for "nigger/black" or "Ghetto" the new word to describe urban aka (black) people. It does annoy me sometimes but I take the stance that, I don't fit that profile so it doesn't really apply to me. I hope that you continue to visit and to contribute to the community. It really is a great place to hang out.

S

Edit: Just to clarify, when I said undercurrent...it was not an FC undercurrent....just in general. My point was that FC is NOT like that.

Way off base (in my opinion).. and you are speaking from what you hear in your own area...
or if you will pardon what could be interpreted as Racist... "your 'hood"
I live in Tucson, and the kids refer to "thug" as an old style Italian Gangster.. or an Old School well dressed crook.
The word Ghetto means an area of lower economic standing, and thereby a bit run down, and prone to drug use or crime. When they say "Ghetto" here, they are speaking of our lower socioeconomically developed areas.. And there is nary a black man to be found in that Ghetto.
Jews are also a bit sensitive to the word Ghetto, for it was born during wartime Germany, and meant something else.
The only undercurrents here are those of hijacking the herb grinder thread, and having "last words" (admitted off topic words, with a pre-emptive apology attached)

The teeth on the Zeus Grinder to appear to be a good design.
I wouldn't mind seeing the 2 piece Zeus up close.
I never felt great about a hand crank grinder, as I have only had poor experiences in the past with them.

I thought I would throw up a picture or two of my MFLB finishing grinder and my santa cruze shredder storage container, they fit together really nicely(not snug, but really nice)

If someone was looking for a good portable container to use with the MFLB grinder I will now recommend these together because the circular "rim" of the grinder stays inside the container

I'm sorry you don't like your piranha, but mine works great. As far as uniformity of particle size goes, it's as good as any other grinder that I've tried which includes a couple of sharpstones. Maybe their full-sized grinders aren't so great, but their small (1.5" 2-piece) pocket sized grinder that I posted earlier definitely gets my recommendation. What size piranha do you have that you dislike so much?

@SpruceGruve I wanna know how long it took to fill the storage container using the finishing grinder?? Looks like a job and a half.
Not as long as you would think, but it does hold a surprisingly large amount 8.5-9 grams.
I will only need to top it off once every week or so

Edit-if you wanted to be crazy and pack it in there you could hold at least a half oz
