i think he was talking bout this

here's my review ;

pros
There were more than one giving the reviews , offering several diff. opinions on the latest popular portables .
cons
It looked like they did it all in one sitting . They couldn't review battery longevity ; performance issues ( Hot mp on the PnP ) ;
cleaning and maintenance ...etc .

Ya the PNWT was the deciding factor , it seems .
If they could have tried it with the others would have been nice .
But I did enjoy it tho , and will probly check their reviews on the
Firefly and Indica .

I did not think they were very scientific at all. Plus I feel that if you paired a SOLO with water the opinions would have been more comparative!!

Actually lots of people do know, this is not a smart thing to do if you want maximum battery life. Advice from the maker (both here and other products that use these sorts of batteries) is 'fully charge the first time (over charge it to be sure). That's their advice, as well as what 'the smart money' backs. You're welcome of course to treat yours as you wish, but IMO this is definitely not good advice to pass on.

You won't notice anything 'up front' and you might not notice your battery dieing an early death for a number of reasons, but that's how it works.

Yeah that was my mistake, I shouldnt have framed my post as advice really, so apologies for that. Just wanted to share my experience, I did know that it should be let to charge fully, like most expensive electronic devices, but was just so impatient after shipping delays.

I really just wanted to publicize the ability to replace the battery, which is what made me decide to just go ahead and use it, since i didnt mind having to buy the eventual new (or bigger) battery sooner than later. Just one of the many things that makes the solo the clearest choice for absolute best portable vaporizer out right now, for me anyway

For those of you wondering about the outcome of buying a Solo from Vaporseller.com, I just received mine!
I believe I ordered Sunday, and I received it today (Friday). Monday was a holiday so there was no shipping on that day. They send in decently safe, tight packaging by 2-day priority mail for no extra charge (Atleast thats what it says on the package, but I recieved it on Friday). I paid exactly $125, not a penny more or less. It's also the latest M1E1!

Man this thing is sexy in person...

EDIT** Just checked their site again and it's priced $131.99 now.

After Seeing @DerekLM99 's post I jumped on the Solo at VaporSeller. The price went to $137.99 !! So i grabbed on e before it went up any more. The site seems legit. I'm excited to finally get my hands on one. I will also post with my experience when it arrives.

Idk if I'll be saving weed vaping the Solo vs combusting.
I think in my first 2 sessions I've smoked more with the Solo.
But I think its because I enjoy the high more and it doesnt knock me out. Keeps me up actually.
Like I can just keep going with the Solo, haven't reached an uncomfortable level yet.

:bigleaf:Your health will benefit as well as your wallet. When I started vaping I used less herb than when i was combusting. I eventually was able to breathe better and my sense of smell and taste was back.

The Solo is a great investment for your health. The taste of the vapor is the top of the line. You can't go wrong with a Solo.:smug:

Are you able to turn it back on using the the 2 buttons at the top? Is it something that happens all the time? Is the battery low when it happens and is it a new unit?

Yeah this has been happening quite a bit lately, could the unit be overheating? It does feel a little warm to the touch. I've been using it while plugged in.

You know what would be helpful? More information.

Lot number? Ie M1C1 or M1D1.

When and where did you buy it?

Does it happen when plugged in and not plugged in?

It's an M1D2 that I got a couple months ago at a local head shop. It happens whether it is plugged in or not.

It only happens when the unit tries to heat up, right? It can stay at idle for longer than 20 seconds?

Might be one of the two cells in the battery is bad, causing the battery in general to fail. Makes sense since at idle and 1 the heat is low... @OF might know.

See if your local shop can exchange it or handles warranty stuff?

Battery doesn't sound likely under normal cases, since it does the same plugged in, but in this guy the battery still provides half the power heating so it's sure something I'd check early on. Then again having a spare Solo to swap parts with helps there.

Not to start a firestorm or anything but this may point to one of the problems I have with LHS sources.....and I'm a big fan of local stuff. It's not only possible, but in some cases pretty common, to have defective (or at least questionable) returns go out again to a new customer. Someone, often just like the OP, comes in and some helpful soul swaps the unit out for them for a quick fix, often trading for 'the display unit'......which itself might not be pristine and surely isn't afterwards. One place I worked at was plagued with this from some dealers. Salesmen would often "help" here.....always a fun variable. So, not to distract from LHS sources, I think there's an added risk of buying into someone else's grief and the 'new' replacements are less reliable over all than what you get direct from the factory.

The solution we came to in the place I worked was a policy change to immediately ship (overnight usually) a replacement unit out at our cost provided the 'dud' was returned in two working days or less. Dealer Managers jumped on it big time, a clear winner for them, and made the Service Managers very good about returning stuff promptly (so the Dealership wasn't billed......) as well as policing the inventory so no helpful sales types opened a box when nobody was looking. Just some early morning rambles, I doubt the OP bought into a prior problem but these are the sorts of places that tends to happen. Sometimes. No guaranty the last thing that happened to the unit was passing inspection before being packaged up.

Access to a real PA (one that will support the Solo on it's own) would of course immediately confirm the battery's role here.

Whatever it is it's not right. I'd be taking that matter up with someone or addressing it directly.

Good luck.

Have other people had an issue with M1D batch? I believe ti was the 1st batch to release that allowed charging and use at the sametime. I have now owned an M1B,M1D and M1E. The M1D is very loose at holding the glass in (hold it upside down and the glass falls out) and wobbles a lot inside, also the draw restriction is so tight. the herbs get a bit black on the near side and the back part barely turns yellow. As a result it take alot more herb to get where i wanna be than with my other units.

Ive also sent an email to arizer about this who so far have been very helpful with any problems Ive had. Can anyone tell me more about this, or if they also had the problem what they have done?

My M1D2 stem is also very loose. First solo so nothing else to compare with. Draw isn't too restrictive though. Herb is darker nearer bottom of stem, but all gets nicely browned.
