O-Phos(nearly identical to the original Omicron) is more like an ego battery, in that you plug the battery(lower half of the O-Phos)into a USB charger. Omi Light has removable batteries that you charge in a battery charger. Omi-light seems to be the superior of the two, but there's nothing like a filled, working O-Phos in your pocket.
The Omicron was my first vape pen as well, and a game changer for me, you'll be psyched with either choice.
On top of that, G is a leader in customer service, so you'll be set either way.
Good luck!

Just to be sure before ordering, what's the difference between the ophos and omicron lite? This will be my first vape pen so I don't know a lot about them.
Hi b0,

I'm also from Europe and considering buying Ophos. Did you checkout on W9 website? What is your shipping amount?
I'm getting : FedEx (International Economy) $83.45

@THC SCIENTIFIC
Is there any cheaper way for shipping to EU?

Thanks

Same wonder here about difference between Ophos and Lite. On the website both products are described the same.
Don't remember if someone else or THC Scientific, wrote that the Omi Lite is having better electronics ...?

Yes I've read the post but I didn't got it the same way as you explain it. Thanks for the precision !
I'm still wondering how do you charge the battery then? Ophos with usb and Lite with a special charger?

Those device seems perfect for occasional concentrate user, as I am, so excuse my ignorance. It will be my first vapepen and I'm pretty confident this choice isn't bad but I like to know what I’m buying. This Ti cart is worth waiting I think..
Anybody to talk about their new Titanium kisscart?

Yes, the Omi Lite has the upgraded electronics they both use a 601 thread that does not change through out our W9 family of products. The omi lite and the ophos have batteries that are internal bot have a pass through system.
We have authorized distributors that sell our products online I would try vaporwarehouse.com for EU pricing as well. @b0 & @Bvapst

@Bvapst at this point what we get from Fedex is what we offer. I do apologize but Planet vape and vaporwarehouse both ship to EU and i think have cheaper shipping.

Hey, so I noticed the button on this Ophos occasionally sticks when pressed in. Needless to say this can lead to unwanted experiences. I got the unit used, for a song and a dance from another member so i'm not expecting much... but im wondering is there a workaround for this issue? Maybe graphite powder or something (or maybe not since its conductive)?

@THC SCIENTIFIC @nao12000

Edit: I already tried cleaning the button with a q-tip and alcohol.

Just got my O-Phos yesterday.

I am, truly, blown away. I'm working a bit with loading technique, but so far... whoa.

The taste is incredible, the hits are huge, and there is NO burnt metal taste. At all.

I did the side by side with my Dr Dabber. :disgust:

Only minor complaint I could have is the length of this thing. However, I will cheerfully deal for as well as it works! :)

Im glad thats working out for you! Also now that you mentioned the length thing...

http://www.vaporwarehouse.com/site/omicron-mini-vaporizer.html

I know I know... I dont need to feed people's VAS heh. But you know how big the KISS cart is so that picture should give you a clue as to how big it is overall.

Also, just FYI... ive brought my POS G-Pen out of mothball. Why? The battery part uses 601 threading (same as W9 products) and powers my 3.7v Ti KISS cart just fine. With the KISS attached its still shorter than the Ophos without a cart on it.

Downside is that the battery doesnt last too long and airflow is restricted so you have to draw harder. Still works fine tho. Basically if im going to be using it all day ill grab the Ophos or Persei with the SS kit and a single 18350. If I just need something for a few rips at the movies or Disneyland then that G Pen battery (or that Omi Mini) is perfect.

You did a side by side comparison I would like to hear the pros and cons of the Ophos.

As for the length the ophos is a 900mah vs the 650 of the drdabber. This translates to longer battery life between charges.

@Caligula can you get the receipt?

If not we do have a intentional breakage repair service just in case if you decide to use it as a hammer.

Also the button could have some oil in it. What I would do is if you can spray the button with ISO while it's off and press it a few times making sure not to turn it on should fix it. Hope this helps.

@THC SCIENTIFIC

No receipt. But it was a freebie from a member here, minus shipping so I cant complain. Quite honestly tho, im with E here on length. I already have a Persei with a single 18350 ss tube which is much shorter than the Ophos. I was hoping for similar length but less girth (lol)... so im guessing I was looking for the Omi Mini?

Anway ill try more iso on the button to see if that helps! Thx!

We decided on against the 650 battery because it just provide enough juice for the our cartridges.

There is research behind our decision but you will see more and more companies jumping towards the 900 soon enough when they realize what we know.

I'll see about comparing the omi lite vs the ophos so you can see the length difference.

I made the mental leap immediately that longer battery=more power/longer power. No problem. If I need ultra stealth, I have DD.

I haven't used the O-PHOS enough to have loading dialed in perfectly, but so far, I can tell you this:

With Dr Dabber, I have to do short pulses, like 2 secs, a couple of times, or else I'm tasting burnt taste (metal, though not that nichrome taste). A session of three hits gives me a mild medicated effect. The mouthpiece clogs easily, especially when I am using shatter.

With OPhos, I'm relearning draw technique. Less restricted (way, way less), I can hold the button longer (never more than 4, for me), get one great pull, and three of those will sit me on my ass. No burnt taste. I've been able to use up an entire dab, without it getting nasty tasting.

I'm really leery around the ceramic wick. I love that it isn't silica/glass, but I'm very afraid of cracking or breaking it. Using a small bamboo pick to scrape the walls clean. I'm going to order a couple more KISS carts, just in case I destroy this one (I did stress it a bit, checking for functionality - in the name of science, of course).

If I decide to use the "rugged carry case" (:lmao:) - it is more rugged than a cloth bag, yes - I'll put a piece of bubble wrap in the lid, so the parts don't bounce around in it. It does have a good latch on it, and will work fine for carrying in my purse. :)

Thanks for your initial impressions! I've been trying to decipher the differences between the Dr.Dabber, VB Dabbler and the UP O-Phos. All seem very similar even though I've read the entirety of all 3 threads.

Hey THC,

Do you know when TI KISS carts will be back in stock for the Ophos? I would like to get one for my Omicron V1 when I order one for my V2. Thanks.

Thats because they are all very similar. The main difference is going to be the types and quality of materials used. Other manufacturers also use ceramic wicks which is awesome, however W9 is currently the only company to use certified grade 2 titanium (vs NiCr or grade 4 Ti) for their heater wire... which (at least IMO) is a bonus in terms of health and flavor.

Besides all that, you would simply be comparing price, warranty, and customer service.

Also now having used an Ophos Im wondering if the Omicron Lite would be the better unit? My guess is yes if at least just for the upgraded electronics and shorter profile.

www.vaporwarehouse.com has them in stock. Plus free shipping if in the CONUS.

Thanks for the link. I have store credit with W9 so I might wait to see if they get them back in stock any time soon.

Nano / Hammer / LSV / O-Phos / D020
I've never tried concentrates before, so I'm looking to pick up an Omicron Light to get my feet wet.

In comparison to the Solo, what can I expect in terms of vapor harshness, density, and draw resistance?

How does the Nibbler X or Okeanos compare with a standalone bubbler like the D020? Portability isn't a huge concern.
