I just reread my last post, I wanted to clarify I'm talking about our first attempt at a quick fix being rigged and mismatched, versus taking our time for a long term, solid, professional looking solution.

All of your adaptations that u have all been posting are great solutions for yourself, but we as a company can not throw together stuff that hasn't went threw all the steps. I hope that clarifies where I am at in this process

@TherealVaporblunt This is great to hear. Very exciting indeed.

I'll be sending my PonG back in about two weeks, best I can do I'm afraid.

I am a regular pn AND pn pro owner. i have no issues with ANY of the products and love them the way they are. I think the pn pro is the hardest hitting portable on the market. Easiest to use and by far one of the stealthiest. However a glass mp and gong would take this thing even further. With that being said, take your time. Most of the users love this thing as is.
Couldn't agree more, perfectly written. You other dudes are way too ambitious for me (and way smarter) :)

I go back and forth between the PNP and VB 2.0 depending on if I want a raging hit (pnp) or a more flavorful airy hit (vb 2.0). The bullets are so convenient and the cleaning / upkeep is virtually nil on both pieces. I love all the VB products I have thus far. When a car charger comes out I'll be set.

@stonevape - I use a fully packed bullet on two with the hydro tube. If I'm traveling, with no hydro tube I'll start at 2 then move to 3 and one session will cook it pretty well. In some cases I've used one bullet for two sessions, but my blend was moist. I too like to hit it a couple times and shut it off, come back to the same bullet later. I just dump the bullet out to keep it from cooking while the device cools off. Once it's cooled off I put the bullet back in and come back to it when I'm ready. I try to only have the bullet in when I'm hitting it, it's probably mental, but I feel like my blend is being cooked while devices heat, like it's being wasted.

Happy vaping, I'm new to it as well, after 25 + years. The pnp is awesome, I highly recommend the 14mm hydro tube add on too.

About time I added something positive in here.

Used my PNP with GonG and my 15 arm tree filled a bullet with putty-like brown qwiso chopped as finely as the finely ground cheesey smelling/tasting orange buds it was mixed with and laid out on top of in the bullet. I just did an 8 min session on settings 3 and 4, the taste is blissful, the clouds constant - the bullet wasn't even finished when the 8 minute time-out kicked in!

I am going back to the bullet at level 5 now for good measure. Vaped as a vapist just arrested on charges of vape!

I do the same, and be sure to put a layer of pure bud in the screen so no qwiso gums up the screen.
I've been there.

Qwiso bud mixes seem to go on forever and ever...

Nice herbivoire21!!!!

Edit by the way, I took some qwiso and fattened and snaked it down, tossed in the freezer, got it rock hard then grated it down into a dust the mixed it with my bud, and kief..... so nice.

"Vaped as a vapist just arrested on charges of vape!" that's a classic line!

hahaha cheers brother, I am paid to write and have been having writer's block lately, so glad to hear mine is at least entertaining fellow tokers!

You are spot on about the layer of bud at the bottom of the bullet! No funky gunk in the trunk of my PNP is my preference too ;)

I havent done much research yet but I plan on looking into the Pinnacle Pro. I recently got the original VaporBlunt (was on sale) and am actually very satisfied, however there are 2 problems, though both are somewhat minute. The VaporBlunt is too big to walk around and vape with. Also battery seems kind of short. Should I get the pinnacle? What type of upgrades and improvements have been made since the original piece?

The VB OG is more discreet than this:

Check out the 1st page of this thread.

VB breaks down the features of the PNP.

Check out the beginning of this thread to see what the Pinnacle Pro has to offer. It's a very good unit. It's small and stealth. There are a few issues like the mouthpiece, and some mold issues that cause weakness in the high grade plastic in the area where the mouthpiece attaches to the unit. Hopefully those issues will be taken care of in the future. The company is aware and says they will be addressing those issues.

With any vape that you decide that you may want to buy, get educated and read through FC to see the pros and cons. It can be a costly investment, money wise and health too.

Agreed!

Just don't be like that chick in the picture and invest in a Nintendo 64 pipe!

I decided to run a test yesterday to test my battery life after a month. From a full charge I got 4, 8 minute sessions before the battery gave out. This was over last night and this morning. I usually start on setting 2 and turn on setting 3 after the 4-5 hits.

I have been using it 3-4 times a day average. Is this normal battery life? I remember reading somewhere about getting 6 sessions on a fully charged battery, this was a big consideration when I was vape shopping. I can live with 4, but if it degrades further I would be pretty unsatisfied

Yeah, sounds about right ime.
I start at 2 and switch to 3 about half way through the session. I get just about four sessions in total (JUST enough for my working day, although will get a portable charger soon).

Cleaning I don't find too bad... Run it empty at five for one session, firm rub with a paper towel on the inside top of the the bullet chamber, where the MP/PonG seats into the unit (not the actual oven).
Same for the outside of the tube part of the MP/PonG... All when hot, the bulk of the residue wipes straight off clean.

The MP itself gets hot air sucked through, and then a flattened toothpick to scrape out the reclaim from the tip.
Then a good rub down in vegetable oil, soak for five, then hot soapy water sorts the plastic out.

The original screen on mine needs very occasionally wiping down with ISO/cotton, but I've installed a domed screen on top of the original which collects most of the gunk.

Well.. PonG finally gave out- no way for me to get a new one- no good way for me to make one- so I'm swapping for a new DBV.
And now for a week of no vape.. this should be.. interesting? :puke:

Thanks all for replies and welcoming posts regarding how many hits you take in one go, etc. I have some followups and again I'm really sorry if these are 'so n00b I should have searched'...

1) my other half and i are used to sharing a blunt (SO happy those days are gone!), and can't work out how best to use the vape together. She suggested having a bowl each, one after another, but that to me seems like overkill. It means the other person has to wait aaaages to get a go, while the first person has to rush an entire bowl, which I think should be vaped at a more leisurely pace. I also think an entire bullet vaped by one person in about 5-10 minutes is a waste during a regular session (as opposed to a "I need to get VERY high NOW!" session). I don't think one person needs that much all to themselves in one sesh. So my vote is that we load a bullet and share it over 15 minutes or so. But I could be way off, so what do others do when sharing?

The problem is breaking the 'one/two draws then pass' thing, which comes from a race against the blunt burning down to the roach. Plus she feels like she isn't getting high enough so wants more, but I'm thinking that a) we won't get *as* high at first switching from smoking to vaping, and b) a vape high takes longer to manifest anyway, right?

2) So when you take a hit through the PnP, it's sucking cold air through the heated chamber, which heats up the air and carries the vapour into lungs, and slightly cools down the bullet/chamber. So you need to wait a little after each draw to reheat the chamber again, right?

What about if you want to wait a few minutes before having another draw? Worth turning the unit off, then having to turn it back on again and wait to heat up? What happens if you just leave the bullet in the active PnP for 5-10 minutes, does the herb cook and the THC disappear into the atmosphere like it would if you left a blunt burning untoked?

I saw someone said they might pop the bullet out briefly if they only vapid half a bullet and wanted to save the rest - how, without spilling the part-vaped contents everywhere?

3) Last question: I don't *really* know yet at what point to stop vaping a bullet because it's pretty much done, and still have usable AVB left. Ours has been darkish khaki brown to dark brown when we tip it into a jar to keep. Is that *only* good for edibles now or could it feasibly be re-vaped and if so would it need to be a higher setting than 2?

Thank you all for any answers, much appreciated and hopefully the last of the n00b Qs!

There are a lot of variables to consider when explaining how long a bullet should last. Sometimes it's personal preference . It depends on the herb that you're using.
I prefer to grind my herb to a cornmeal consistency.

Again it's personal preference, sometimes there are no right or wrong. It's what works for you.

I fill my bullet to the top and a slight pack and I use either a metal screen or a glass pipe screen. Folks also pack a bullet partially full for a shorter session and use a screen. IMO I wouldn't leave the herb in the bullet with the unit on for 2 min, it's wasting herb, unless you have a large crop and don't care.

Often I use a very thin layer of cotton on top of the bullet. This keeps things nice and clean. Make sure it's 100% organic.

When I mentioned taking the bullet out of the unit when it still had life left in the herb. You have a screen on your bullet and you drop it out onto a plate, because its too hot to touch, if there is a screen your herb will not dump all over. If you are out and about, that's not possible. The bullet cools in 2 min or less.

I usually use a full bullet for 2 eight minute sessions on heat level 2. If I'm using the WT I use heat level 3 also. I probably draw about every half min.

My ABV is usually too dark for edibles. The Pnp does a nice job of extracting the goodies from the herb. If I use the bullet for one 8 min session, then I can use the leftovers for cooking.

I have adapted my pong with a glass piece as a mouthpiece. Heat level 2 was too hot otherwise without a WT.
My battery lasts about 45 min.

Your PNP or wooden pong MP gave out?

What happened?

The PonG, screen must have conducted too much heat off the bullet and caused the plastic to finally give out around it (it's had 2 fair sized cracks for weeks(I'm poorer than dirt))

Damn... any chance you can either:

A: make up another wooden MP that has a bottom diameter that will fit into snug into the PNP?

The area directly above the heating chamber is actually tapered.
The dimensions are 13.8mm diameter at the bottom and opens up to 14.3mm.

Or

B: salvage the Pong pieces and use a hose clamp to hold it together with your wooden MP?

I tried the first one actually last night, but the plastic expanded too much after it got to setting 2 to stay sealed, even with a Silicone o-ring on it
as for the hose clamp, there just isn't enough room for it
I wish I didn't have to see it go.. but I no longer need portability or stealth- Not to mention I'm getting a DBV in return :p
Basically my buddy is converting, and saves money buying a Buddha (~$150 around here) for me and him getting my PnP and buying a PonG (we have a vaporblunt sponsored shop down the street)
Though I am pretty pissed that I can't consume cannabinoids, let alone food

I also didn't. Ever. I never apply ISO to anything but glass or extremely clean metal (with no gaskets etc) used for no other purposes.

I just reclaimed some serious sticky balls of concentrate from my GonG and water piece. .6g from a fortnight's worth of vaping! Love it! Came out fantastically (I only use distilled water in water tools and clean my pieces fastidiously), like balls of the kind of QWISO I knew people who bought (concentrates are more than rare to find retail in my part of the world)!

I use the plant recreationally but also largely medically these days, dealing with insomnia and a chronic disorder which has ramifications for appetite and eating. This was welcome!

Guys, make custom GonG's if your PonGs are melting. It cost me the same money to get a GonG blown and sent to me from OGB (the other side of the world) as it would have to get a PonG from TVB, I now typically use settings 4 and 5 (I do love my hash sandwiches for sleep!) - which were setting non grata before I had a glass airpath!

Giblets, that is a real shame man. Such a good vape in so many ways, but so limited by this one problem!

I'm counting down the days to my Nano, which will replace the PNP for nighttime and concentrates, as well as probably completely replacing the PNP at home (like my big hits!).

I've never used ISO on my mouthpieces; funny story actually-
my friend who HAS used it on both his MP and PonG still has both in basically perfect condition.. strange.

Also- you have basically the same issues as I do haha, funny. (appetite+insomnia(I basically have anorexia, only it's totally not up to conscious thought)

Damn, not so different at all are we! Whatever you vape with, make sure you are using glass, you'll get the sleep benefits of higher heat settings with the added bonus of every stain on your glass representing precious sleep! :)

EDIT: My PES Pong that got melty/chippy got chopped up and unfortunately cracked at the base where it braces onto the PNP. I have since thrown it out. I do have one picture where you can clearly see the damage though, TVB identified this photo from an email I sent them as a PES PonG and said it was perfectly safe. Note the significant chips that have come off the plastic skirting around the edges of the screen. Hold CTRL and scroll in on your mouse to zoom closer in on the picture in your browser, damage is on the bottom half of the plastic around the screen.

What do you think?
fbwb2c.jpg

Note: This was after a week and a half of owning the PNP. This PonG is the one that came with my unit.
